Abstract
【解決手段】トナー成分を溶融混合しペレット化したトナーペレットを加工して、トナー粒子を形成し、このトナー粒子と、脱イオン水および少なくとも1つの界面活性剤とを接触させて混合物を形成し、加熱することによって、融着処理し、望ましい球体の性質を有するトナー粒子を与える。

(1)平均体積粒径が、約5μm〜約15μm、約5.5μm〜約12μm;
(2)数平均幾何粒度分布(GSDn)および/または体積平均幾何粒度分布(GSDv)が、約1.0〜約1.7、約1.1〜約1.6;
(3)Tgが、約30℃〜約65℃、約35℃〜約51℃。

Claims (10)
- アモルファス樹脂と、場合により結晶性樹脂と、場合によりワックスと、場合により着色剤とを溶融混合してトナーを形成することと;
前記トナーをペレット化して、トナーペレットを形成することと;
前記トナーペレットを加工して、トナー粒子を形成することと;
前記トナー粒子と、脱イオン水および少なくとも1つの界面活性剤とを接触させて、混合物を形成することと;
前記混合物を約50℃〜約100℃の温度まで加熱することによって前記トナー粒子を融着することと;
前記混合物からトナー粒子を回収することとを含み、
前記トナー粒子が、約0.92〜約0.999の真円度を有する、プロセス。 - 前記少なくとも1つの界面活性剤が、非イオン系界面活性剤、アニオン系界面活性剤、カチオン系界面活性剤、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択され、前記トナー粒子の約0.01重量%〜約5重量%の量で存在する、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記少なくとも1つの界面活性剤が、ラウリル硫酸ナトリウム、ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウム、ドデシルナフタレン硫酸ナトリウム、ジアルキルベンゼンアルキルサルフェート、ジアルキルベンゼンアルキルスルホネート、アビエチン酸、アルキルジフェニルオキシドジスルホネート、分岐ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウム、これらの組み合わせなどからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記トナー粒子を融着することには、毎分約50回転〜毎分約500回転の速度で前記混合物をさらに混合することを含む、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 前記トナー粒子を融着することが、約0.1時間〜約9時間かけて行われる、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- アモルファスバイオベースドポリエステル樹脂と、結晶性樹脂と、場合によりワックスと、場合により着色剤とをとを溶融混合してトナーを形成することと;
前記トナーをペレット化して、トナーペレットを形成することと;
前記トナーペレットを加工して、トナー粒子を形成することと;
前記トナー粒子と、脱イオン水と、非イオン系界面活性剤、アニオン系界面活性剤、カチオン系界面活性剤、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの界面活性剤とを接触させて、混合物を形成することと;
前記混合物を、毎分約75回転〜毎分約400回転の速度で約0.1時間〜約9時間かけて混合しつつ、約50℃〜約100℃の温度まで加熱することによって前記トナー粒子を融着することと;
前記混合物からトナー粒子を回収することとを含み、
前記トナー粒子が、約0.93〜約0.995の真円度を有する、プロセス。 - 前記少なくとも1つの界面活性剤が、トナー粒子の約0.01重量%〜約5重量%の量で存在する、請求項6に記載のプロセス。
- 前記少なくとも1つの界面活性剤が、ラウリル硫酸ナトリウム、ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウム、ドデシルナフタレン硫酸ナトリウム、ジアルキルベンゼンアルキルサルフェート、ジアルキルベンゼンアルキルスルホネート、アビエチン酸、アルキルジフェニルオキシドジスルホネート、分岐ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウム、これらの組み合わせなどからなる群から選択される、請求項6に記載のプロセス。
- 少なくとも一部分が、天然トリグリセリド植物油、フェノール系植物油およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される材料に由来するアモルファスバイオベースドポリエステル樹脂と、結晶性樹脂と、場合によりワックスと、場合により着色剤とを溶融混合してトナーを形成することと;
前記トナーをペレット化して、トナーペレットを形成することと;
前記トナーペレットを加工して、トナー粒子を形成することと;
前記トナー粒子と、前記脱イオン水と、ラウリル硫酸ナトリウム、ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウム、ドデシルナフタレン硫酸ナトリウム、ジアルキルベンゼンアルキルサルフェート、ジアルキルベンゼンアルキルスルホネート、アビエチン酸、アルキルジフェニルオキシドジスルホネート、分岐ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸ナトリウム、これらの組み合わせなどからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの界面活性剤とを接触させて、混合物を形成することと;
前記混合物を、毎分約50回転〜毎分約500回転の速度で約0.1時間〜約9時間かけて混合しつつ、約6〜約10のpHで、約50℃〜約100℃の温度まで加熱することによって、前記混合物中で前記トナー粒子を融着することと;
前記混合物からトナー粒子を回収することとを含み、
ここで、前記アモルファスバイオベースドポリエステル樹脂は、トナー成分の約1重量%〜約95重量%の量で存在し、界面活性剤は、トナー粒子の約0.01重量%〜約5重量%の量で存在し、前記トナー粒子が、約0.92〜約0.999の真円度を有する、プロセス。 - 前記少なくとも1つの界面活性剤が、トナー粒子の約0.01重量%〜約5重量%の量で存在する、請求項9に記載のプロセス。
