Abstract
【解決手段】貴金属を担持した耐火性無機酸化物または貴金属の化合物および耐火性無機酸化物と、ビスマスの化合物と、を水性媒体中で湿式粉砕してスラリーを得、当該スラリーを三次元構造体に被覆した後、焼成することを有する排ガス浄化用触媒の製造方法であって、前記焼成を糖もしくは還元剤の存在下で行なうまたは前記焼成中もしくは焼成後に三次元構造体を還元ガスを用いて処理する、排ガス浄化用触媒の製造方法。

Description
(2)貴金属の化合物(原料)、ビスマスの化合物(原料)、耐火性無機酸化物を水性媒体に投入し、湿式粉砕して、スラリーを調製し、当該スラリーに三次元構造体を浸漬した後、余剰のスラリーを除き、乾燥し、焼成するが、当該焼成工程中あるいは焼成工程後に、還元ガスで三次元構造体を処理する方法;
(3)貴金属の化合物(原料)を含む水性液と耐火性無機酸化物とを混合し、乾燥、焼成して、貴金属を担持した耐火性無機酸化物(貴金属担持耐火性無機酸化物)を得た後、当該貴金属担持耐火性無機酸化物、ビスマスの化合物(原料)及び糖または還元剤を混合し、湿式粉砕して、スラリーを調製し、当該スラリーに三次元構造体を浸漬した後、余剰のスラリーを除き、乾燥し、焼成する方法;および
(4)貴金属の化合物(原料)を含む水性液と耐火性無機酸化物とを混合し、乾燥、焼成して、貴金属を担持した耐火性無機酸化物(貴金属担持耐火性無機酸化物)を得た後、当該貴金属担持耐火性無機酸化物及びビスマスの化合物(原料)を混合し、湿式粉砕して、スラリーを調製し、当該スラリーに三次元構造体を浸漬した後、余剰のスラリーを除き、乾燥し、焼成するが、当該焼成工程中あるいは焼成工程後に、還元ガスで三次元構造体を処理する方法。
以下のようにして、含浸法により白金およびパラジウムを分散担持させたシリカアルミナ粉体(Pt・Pd担持粉体(a))を調製した。

実施例2
実施例1において、スクロースを加えない以外は同様の操作を行ない、スラリー(2)を調製した。このスラリー(2)を、横断面1平方インチ当たり約400個のオープンフローのガス流通セルを有する5.66インチ径×6.0インチ長さの円筒状のコージェライト製ハニカム担体に浸漬し、余分なスラリーを取り除いた後、120℃で30分間乾燥し、次いで500℃で1時間焼成して、触媒前駆体を得た。この触媒前駆体を、窒素ガスをキャリアとした5体積%水素ガス流通下、500℃で3時間処理して、触媒(2)を得た。この触媒(2)におけるビスマス(酸化物換算)、白金(白金換算)およびパラジウム(パラジウム換算)の担持量は、三次元構造体(コージェライト製ハニカム担体)1リットル当たり、それぞれ、14.3g、1.2gおよび0.6gであった。
実施例1と同様にして、含浸法によりPt・Pd担持粉体(a)を調製した。このPt・Pd担持粉体(a)2190gを、水性媒体としての水 3200g中に投入して、この混合物を、アトライターを用いて、室温で20分間、湿式粉砕してスラリー化して、スラリー(3)を調製した。このスラリー(3)を、横断面1平方インチ当たり約400個のオープンフローのガス流通セルを有する5.66インチ径×6.0インチ長さの円筒状のコージェライト製ハニカム担体に浸漬し、余分なスラリーを取り除いた後、120℃で30分間乾燥し、次いで500℃で1時間焼成して、比較触媒(1)を得た。この比較触媒(1)における白金(白金換算)およびパラジウム(パラジウム換算)の担持量は、三次元構造体(コージェライト製ハニカム担体)1リットル当たり、それぞれ、1.2gおよび0.6gであった。
白金33.5gを含有するジニトロジアンミン白金溶液とパラジウム16.8gを含有する硝酸パラジウム溶液とを混合し、比表面積が150m2/gであるシリカアルミナ粉体3000g中に投入した。この混合物を十分かき混ぜた後、120℃で8時間乾燥し、さらに500℃で1時間焼成し、白金およびパラジウムを分散担持させたシリカアルミナ粉体(Pt・Pd担持粉体(b))を得た。
実施例1と同様にして、含浸法によりPt・Pd担持粉体(a)を調製した。このPt・Pd担持粉体(a)2190gを、水性媒体としての水 3200g中に投入して、この混合物を、アトライターを用いて、室温で20分間、湿式粉砕して、スラリー化した後、スクロース 365gを加えて十分混合し、スラリー(5)を調製した。このスラリー(5)を、横断面1平方インチ当たり約400個のオープンフローのガス流通セルを有する5.66インチ径×6.0インチ長さの円筒状のコージェライト製ハニカム担体に浸漬し、余分なスラリーを取り除いた後、120℃で30分間乾燥し、次いで500℃で1時間焼成して、比較触媒(3)を得た。この比較触媒(3)における白金(白金換算)およびパラジウム(パラジウム換算)の担持量は、三次元構造体(コージェライト製ハニカム担体)1リットル当たり、それぞれ、1.2gおよび0.6gであった。
以上の実施例1〜2および比較例1〜2で得られた触媒について、以下のようにして、エンジン昇温評価を行なった。すなわち、上記各触媒を、市販のディーゼルエンジン(2.2L)の排気ガスの浄化に使用した。ここで、ディーゼルエンジンは、回転数 1,800rpmで固定(空間速度(S.V.)=48,000hr−1)とした。なお、前段及び後段に他の触媒を設置せず、上記各触媒のみを設置した。
Claims (9)
- 貴金属を担持した耐火性無機酸化物または貴金属の化合物および耐火性無機酸化物と、ビスマスの化合物と、を水性媒体中で湿式粉砕してスラリーを得、当該スラリーを三次元構造体に被覆した後、焼成することを有する排ガス浄化用触媒の製造方法であって、前記焼成を糖もしくは還元剤の存在下で行なうまたは前記焼成中もしくは焼成後に三次元構造体を還元ガスを用いて処理する、排ガス浄化用触媒の製造方法。
- 貴金属を担持した耐火性無機酸化物と、ビスマスの化合物と、を水性媒体中で湿式粉砕してスラリーを得る、請求項1に記載の製造方法。
- 前記ビスマスの化合物は、ビスマスの水溶性金属塩であり、前記焼成を糖の存在下で行なう、請求項1または2に記載の製造方法。
- 前記糖は、二糖である、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の製造方法。
- 前記糖は、スクロースである、請求項4に記載の製造方法。
- ビスマスの表面電荷が0価のビスマスを含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の製造方法によって製造される排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 50%CO転化率を示す温度が190℃以下である、請求項6に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒。
- 請求項6または7に記載の排ガス浄化用触媒に対し、排ガスを接触させることを有する、排ガスの浄化方法。
- 前記排ガスがディーゼルエンジンの排ガスである、請求項8に記載の浄化方法。
