を含む方法。 - 現在の地理的位置が以前の地理的位置から変わるまで前記現在の地理的位置を読み取るステップが繰り返され、前記現在の地理的位置の変化が検出されるまで前記方法の残りの諸ステップが行われない、請求項1に記載の方法。
- LMAとの通信が可能であるか否かを決定するステップは、無線ノード(306、314)との通信が可能であるか否かを決定するステップを含み、前記無線ノードがWiFiノードおよびWiMAXノードのうちの1つである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 現在の地理的位置を記憶するステップは、関連するタイムスタンプを記憶するステップを含み、
記憶されたいずれかの地理的位置を送信するステップは、記憶されたいずれかの関連するタイムスタンプを送信するステップを含む、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 位置またはタイムスタンプに基づいたあらかじめ定義された条件が満たされるまで現在の地理的位置を読み取る前記ステップが繰り返され、前記あらかじめ定義された条件が満たされるまで前記方法の前記残りの諸ステップが行われない、請求項4に記載の方法。
- GPSの受信機(202)と、
WiFiのトランシーバおよびWiMAXのトランシーバのうちの1つを含むトランシーバ(206)と、
コントローラ(212)と、を含み、
前記コントローラは、
前記装置の現在の地理的位置を読み取り、
位置監視アプリケーション(LMA)(312)との通信が可能であるか否かを決定し、
前記LMAとの通信が可能ではない場合、前記現在の地理的位置を記憶し、
前記LMAとの通信が可能である場合、記憶されたいずれかの地理的位置および前記現在の地理的位置を前記LMAに送信する、ように構成されている、

位置検出装置(LDD)(102)と、を含み、
前記位置検出装置は、
GPSの受信機(202)、
WiFiのトランシーバおよびWiMAXのトランシーバのうちの1つを含むトランシーバ(206)、および
コントローラ(212)とを備え、
前記コントローラは、
前記LDDの現在の地理的位置を読み取り、
前記LMAとの通信が可能であるか否かを決定し、
前記LMAとの通信が可能ではない場合、前記現在の地理的位置を記憶し、
前記LMAとの通信が可能である場合、記憶されたいずれかの地理的位置および前記現在の地理的位置を前記LMAに送信する、ように構成されている、
システム。 - 前記LDDはさらにメモリ(218)を含み、前記コントローラは、
前記現在の地理的位置および関連するタイムスタンプを前記メモリに記憶し、
記憶したいずれかの前記関連するタイムスタンプを前記記憶された地理的位置と共に前記LMAに送信するように構成されている、請求項9に記載のシステム。
