Abstract
Description
添加剤とは、非反応性化合物、即ち、共重合しない(言い換えれば、共重合可能ではない)化合物を意味する。本発明の難燃性添加剤は、有利なことには、硬化の前にも後にも、ポリマー主鎖又はオリゴマー主鎖の一部を形成しない。
ハロゲン化難燃剤は、好ましくは、少なくとも10g/Lの20℃におけるn−ブチルアクリレートへの溶解度を有するハロゲン化難燃剤のなかから、より好ましくは、さらに、少なくとも10g/Lの20℃におけるアクリル酸への溶解度を有するハロゲン化難燃剤のなかから選択される。好ましくは、20℃におけるn−ブチルアクリレートへの溶解度は少なくとも100g/Lであり、より好ましくは、少なくとも200g/Lである。好ましくは、20℃におけるアクリル酸への溶解度は少なくとも100g/Lであり、より好ましくは、少なくとも200g/Lである。
このような溶解度を有するのは、主として有機難燃性添加剤である。該有機添加剤は、液体でも固体でもよい。
ハロゲン化難燃剤は有機であることが有利である。ハロゲン化難燃剤は好ましくは臭素化難燃剤、より好ましくは少なくとも40重量%の臭素含量を示す臭素化難燃剤である。特に好ましいのは、少なくとも45重量%、特に、少なくとも60重量%、最も好ましくは少なくとも70重量%の臭素含量を有する臭素化難燃剤である。
トリブロモネオペンチルアルコールが難燃剤(ii)として特に好ましい。
本発明による組成物は一般にハロゲン化難燃剤を20〜80重量%、好ましくは30〜70重量%、最も好ましくは40〜60重量%、含有する。
該難燃性組成物は少なくとも1種のポリマー前駆物質を含む。ポリマー前駆物質なる用語は、適当な重合可能な官能基を有し、好ましくは、鎖末端に又は鎖に沿って側面に1又は複数の(メタ)アクリル基又はビニル基を含むモノマー又はオリゴマー又はこれらの混合物を表すために用いられる。
本発明による組成物は、一般に1種又は複数種のポリマー前駆物質を20〜80重量%、好ましくは30〜70重量%、そして最も好ましくは40〜60重量%、含有する。
該組成物にポリマー前駆物質として用いられるオリゴマー(単数又は複数)の総量は一般に、該組成物に用いられるポリマー前駆物質の総量に関して0〜100重量%である。オリゴマー(単数又は複数)の総量は、該組成物に用いられるポリマー前駆物質の総量に関して、好ましくは少なくとも5重量%、より好ましくは少なくとも15重量%である。オリゴマー(単数又は複数)の量は、組成物に用いられるポリマー前駆物質の総量に関して、好ましくは80重量%を超えず、より好ましくは、70重量%を超えず、最も好ましくは、55重量%を超えない。
本発明による放射線硬化性組成物は一般に、難燃剤(ii)を1種又は複数種のポリマー前駆物質(単数又は複数)に、特に、1種又は複数種のモノマー(単数又は複数)に又はポリマー前駆物質の混合物に、単一相溶液が得られるまで加えることによって製造される。該混合は一般に5〜100℃の温度において行なわれる。或いは、難燃剤を該ポリマー前駆物質(単数又は複数)の一部に溶解することができ、次に、該ポリマー前駆物質(単数又は複数)の残部を該混合物に加える。或いは、該ポリマー前駆物質(単数又は複数)を該難燃剤に加えることができる。
本発明による放射線硬化性難燃性組成物は、1mm厚さで、UL−94試験のV2等級、より高い等級V1及びV0等級さえも満たすことを可能にする。該組成物は透光性の層、より好ましくは透明な層の製造を可能にする。本発明による組成物は、改良された難燃性、高い耐衝撃性、遮音性、耐老化性及び積層物への接着性を示す。
該難燃性放射線硬化性組成物は、透光性製品が必要であるときに、即ち、窓として用いられる耐火性積層物の中間層として、透光性であるべきである。用語「透光性」は本明細書では、視覚を通じてクリアーに見えよう(providing clear through vision)と、即ち、透明、無色であろうとなかろうと、それらが取り付け構造用途(glazing applications)に適するように光を伝える製品及び物質を表すために用いられる。
該液体樹脂系の強い技術的利点は、2枚のガラスの間の空隙が該液体樹脂によって完全に充填され、該樹脂中間層による結合時にガラス表面の形状又は粗さが重要ではないことである。
例1〜9及び比較例10R〜12Rの組成物は、本明細書の以下の表に記載したような、種々な化合物を混合することによって製造したものである。該種々な化合物の量は、特に指定しないかぎり、gで記載する。これらの組成物によって得られる性質を測定して、以下の表に報告する。
Claims (15)
- 放射線硬化性難燃性組成物であって、
(i)1又は複数の(メタ)アクリル又はビニル基を有する1種又は複数種のオリゴマーを含む、少なくとも1種のポリマー前駆物質、及び、
(ii)前記組成物中に可溶であり、少なくとも10g/Lの20℃におけるn−ブチルアクリレートへの溶解度を有する、少なくとも1種のハロゲン化難燃性添加剤、
を含む放射線硬化性難燃性組成物。 - 該オリゴマーが、ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート、ポリエステル(メタ)アクリレート及びエポキシ(メタ)アクリレートから選択される、請求項1に記載の放射線硬化性組成物。
- 該ハロゲン化難燃剤が、少なくとも10g/Lの20℃におけるアクリル酸への溶解度をさらに有するハロゲン化難燃剤から選択される、請求項1に記載の放射線硬化性組成物。
- 該ハロゲン化難燃剤が脂肪族ハロゲン化難燃剤である、請求項1に記載の放射線硬化性組成物。
- 該ハロゲン化難燃剤がハロゲン化アルコールである、請求項1に記載の放射線硬化性組成物。
- 該ハロゲン化難燃剤が、少なくとも40重量%の臭素含量を示す臭素化難燃剤である、請求項1に記載の放射線硬化性組成物。
- 該臭素化難燃剤がトリブロモネオペンチルアルコールである、請求項6に記載の放射線硬化性組成物。
- 20〜80重量%の、1種又は複数種のハロゲン化難燃性添加剤、並びに、
20〜80重量%の、前記オリゴマー、及び、1又は複数の(メタ)アクリル基を含むモノマー、から選択される1種又は複数種のポリマー前駆物質、
を含む、請求項1に記載の放射線硬化性組成物。 - 該ポリマー前駆物質が、モノ−、ジ−、トリ−及び/又はテトラ−(メタ)アクリレートから選択される1種又は複数種の(メタ)アクリル化モノマーをを少なくとも20重量%含む、請求項8に記載の放射線硬化性組成物。
- 該ポリマー前駆物質が、ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート、ポリエステル(メタ)アクリレート及びエポキシ(メタ)アクリレートから選択される、1種又は複数種のオリゴマーを少なくとも5重量%含む、請求項8に記載の放射線硬化性組成物。
- 該オリゴマーが、10〜500%の破断伸びを有する、ウレタン(メタ)アクリレート及びエポキシ(メタ)アクリレートから選択される、請求項10に記載の放射線硬化性組成物。
- 該オリゴマーが、1000〜10000の分子量を有する脂肪族ウレタンアクリレートである、請求項10に記載の放射線硬化性組成物。
- 該組成物がリン含有難燃性添加剤を含有しない、請求項1に記載の放射線硬化性組成物。
- ガラス積層物の製造方法であって、
(i)請求項1に記載の難燃性組成物を用意する工程、
(ii)少なくとも1枚はガラスである基材2枚の間に該難燃性組成物を置く工程、及び、
(iii)該組成物を硬化させて該基材間の中間層を形成するポリマーを形成する工程、
を含む、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の組成物によって得られる、少なくとも1つの中間層を含むガラス積層物。
