Description
市販されている構成要素を使用して発泡性材料を調製した。その発泡性材料は、表1に示す構成要素を含んでいた。
本発明による防火バリアを実施例1に従って調製した。公称寸法が7.6×12.7×0.95cm(3インチ×5インチ×3/8インチ)、長さが120cm(4フィート)である長方形の横断面を有する中空断面鋼(HSS)の支柱の全長を洗浄したが、サンドブラスト又は下塗りはしなかった。これらの表面処理工程を省略することにより、全体的な施工時間が劇的に短縮される。3層〜4層のバリアを、連続したテープロールから支柱の周りに巻き付けた。厚さを複数の箇所で測定し、平均値を算出すると2.54mmであった。バリア内の発泡性材料のDFTを算出すると、2.21mmであった。このプロセスは1時間程度要した。
Claims (25)
- 多層防火バリアであって、
a)発泡性材料を含んだ第1の層と、
b)連続的な補強母材を含んだ第2の層と、
c)感圧性接着剤を含んだ第3の層と、
d)前記第3の層に取り外し可能に接着された剥離ライナーを含んだ第4の層と、
を備える、多層防火バリア。 - 前記補強母材は多孔質であり、前記第2の層は前記第1の層と混ざり合う、請求項1に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記第2の層は完全に前記第1の層内にある、請求項2に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記第3の層は、前記第2の層と同じ長さ及び幅を有する、請求項1に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記発泡性材料は、炭化剤と、炭化触媒と、発泡剤と、熱可塑性結合剤と、を含む、請求項1に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記触媒はポリリン酸アンモニウムを含み、前記炭素源はペンタエリスリトール又はジペンタエリスリトールを含み、前記発泡剤はメラミンを含み、前記結合剤は熱可塑性樹脂又はラテックス樹脂を含む、請求項5に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記補強母材は、不織布繊維の熱可塑性材料を含む、請求項1に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記補強母材は、ポリエステル、ポリアミド、ポリイミド、ポリウレタン、ポリ塩化ビニル、又はポリアラミド材料でできた繊維状のスクリーン、ウェブ、スクリム、又はベールを含む、請求項1に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記発泡性材料は、ある発泡温度を有し、前記補強母材は、前記発泡温度よりも高い破損温度を有する、請求項1に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記発泡温度は少なくとも200℃である、請求項9に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記補強母材は400℃未満の破損温度を有する、請求項9に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記発泡性材料の厚さは0.25mm〜3mmである、請求項1に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記発泡性材料は、ある発泡温度を有し、前記接着剤は、前記発泡温度よりも高い破損温度を有する、請求項1に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記接着剤は400℃未満の破損温度を有する、請求項13に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記感圧性接着剤はアクリル接着剤化合物を含む、請求項1に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記発泡性材料は、火災の間に元の厚さの少なくとも10倍に膨張する、請求項1に記載の防火バリア。
- 前記発泡性材料は、自己支持型のチャーを膨張の後に形成する、請求項1に記載の防火バリア。
- 建築物要素を火災による損傷から保護する方法であって、
a)多層防火バリアであって、
i)発泡性材料を含んだ第1の層と、
ii)連続的な補強母材を含んだ第2の層と、
iii)感圧性接着剤を含んだ第3の層と、
iv)前記第3の層に取り外し可能に接着された剥離ライナーを含んだ第4の層と、
を備える、多層防火バリアを用意する工程と、
b)前記第4の層を前記防火バリアから取り外して前記第3の層を露出させる工程と、
c)前記第3の層の前記感圧性接着剤を前記建築物要素の表面に貼り付けて、前記防火バリアを前記建築物要素に接着によって付着させる工程と、
を含む方法。 - 前記接着剤は、前記バリアを、前記建築物要素の前記表面と密に接触させて配置する、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記方法は、複数の前記防火バリアを前記建築物要素に順次的に貼り付けるために反復される、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記発泡性材料の初期の膨張の後、前記補強母材は火災の間に破損して、前記発泡性材料を貫く亀裂の伝播を防止する、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 所与の乾燥塗膜厚さ(DFT)の前記発泡性材料を貼り付けるのに必要な時間が、同じDFTの前記発泡性材料を吹付け塗りの技法で塗布するのに必要な時間と比較して短縮される、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 多層防火バリアを製作する方法であって、
a)感圧性接着剤を塗布された剥離ライナーの連続ストリップを用意する工程と、
b)連続長の補強母材を用意する工程と、
c)発泡性材料を前記補強母材に沿って吹付け塗りする工程と、
d)前記感圧性接着剤を前記補強母材に接着する工程と、
を含む方法。 - 前記発泡性材料は、前記感圧性接着剤を前記発泡性材料に接着するのに先立って硬化される、請求項23に記載の方法。
- 工程a)に先立って前記接着剤を前記剥離ライナーに塗布する工程を更に含む、請求項23に記載の方法。
