Abstract
【解決手段】原画像の視認性を改善した改善画像を原画像から生成しておき、画像を表示する表示部へ影響を与える外光の照度を検出し、検出した照度に応じた合成比率で原画像と改善画像とを合成することで、表示部へ影響を与える外光の照度に応じて視認性を向上させた表示画像を生成するように画像表示装置を構成する。

Claims (6)
- 画像を表示部へ表示させる画像表示装置であって、
前記表示部へ影響を与える外光の照度を検出する照度検出手段と、
視認性を改善した改善画像を原画像から生成する改善画像生成手段と、
前記照度検出手段によって検出された照度に応じた合成比率で前記原画像と前記改善画像とを合成して表示画像を生成する表示画像生成手段と
を備えたことを特徴とする画像表示装置。 - 前記照度と前記合成比率との対応関係を示す合成比率情報を記憶する記憶手段
をさらに備える
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像表示装置。 - 前記記憶手段は、
画像信号の入力系統別に複数の前記合成比率情報を記憶し、
前記表示画像生成手段は、
前記画像信号の前記入力系統に対応する前記合成比率情報に基づいて前記合成比率を決定する
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の画像表示装置。 - 前記記憶手段は、
前記表示画像が視認される方向別に複数の前記合成比率情報を記憶し、
前記表示画像生成手段は、
前記表示画像が視認される方向を判別し、判別した方向に対応する前記合成比率情報に基づいて前記合成比率を決定する
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の画像表示装置。 - 前記照度検出手段は、
前記表示部の表示領域を分割した各分割領域のそれぞれに対応して設けられ、対応する前記分割領域の照度を検出する
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一つに記載の画像表示装置。 - 前記照度が所定の閾値以上である場合、当該照度の上昇に応じて前記表示部の光源の輝度を上昇させる輝度調整手段
をさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか一つに記載の画像表示装置。
