Abstract
【解決手段】意匠面14が所定のベース色とされた基材12を成膜室内に収容し、その後、金属薄膜16を形成する形成物質と結合して、金属化合物を生成する反応ガスを成膜室内に導入した後、物理蒸着法又は化学蒸着法を実施することにより、それら形成物質と反応ガスとが結合して生成された金属化合物からなり且つ意匠面のベース色を透過可能な金属薄膜16を、意匠面14に形成するようにした。

Claims (5)
- 樹脂成形品からなる基材の意匠面に対して、所定のベース色に金属光沢を加えた金属調の加飾が施されてなる車両用加飾樹脂成形品を製造する方法であって、
前記基材として、前記意匠面の色が前記所定のベース色とされた樹脂成形品を準備する工程と、
該準備された基材を成膜室内に収容した後、該基材の前記意匠面に0.005〜0.05μmの厚さの金属薄膜を形成するための操作を物理蒸着法又は化学蒸着法により実施すると共に、該金属薄膜を形成する形成物質と結合して、金属化合物を生成する反応ガスを該成膜室内に導入し、それら形成物質と反応ガスとを結合させることによって、該金属化合物からなり且つ該意匠面の前記ベース色を透過させることができる金属薄膜を該基材の意匠面に形成して、該ベース色に金属光沢を加えた金属調の加飾を該意匠面に施す工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする車両用加飾樹脂成形品の製造方法。 - 前記成膜室内の雰囲気ガスが、実質的に、該成膜室内に導入された前記反応ガスのみとされた状態で、前記形成物質と前記反応ガスとの結合操作が行われる請求項1に記載の車両用加飾樹脂成形品の製造方法。
- 前記基材として、黒又は暗色のベース色を有する前記意匠面を備えた樹脂成形品が用いられると共に、該基材の意匠面に対して、前記金属薄膜が直接に形成される請求項1又は請求項2に記載の車両用加飾樹脂成形品の製造方法。
- 前記基材が、ABS系樹脂を用いて形成された樹脂成形品からなっている請求項1乃至請求項3のうちの何れか1項に記載の車両用加飾樹脂成形品の製造方法。
- 前記金属薄膜の形成操作がスパッタリング法により実施される請求項1乃至請求項4のうちの何れか1項に記載の車両用加飾樹脂成形品の製造方法。
