Abstract
【解決手段】有機EL素子10が一表面側に配設され他表面側を光取り出し面側とする第1のガラス基板20と、第1のガラス基板20の上記一表面側で有機EL素子10よりも離れて配置され第1のガラス基板20に対向する第2のガラス基板30とを備える。また、発光装置は、第1のガラス基板20と第2のガラス基板30との間に介在し有機EL素子10を囲むスペーサ40を備えている。スペーサ40は、合金を用いて形成された枠体であり、第1のガラス基板20および第2のガラス基板30それぞれにフリットガラス51a,52aにより形成された接合部51,52を介して全周に亘って接合されている。

Description
以下、本実施形態の発光装置について、図1に基づいて説明する。
本実施形態の発光装置の基本構成は実施形態1と略同じであり、図3に示すように、有機EL素子10がプラスチック基板からなる透光性基板11の一表面上に形成され、透光性基板11の他表面の周部を全周に亘って第1のガラス基板20と接合してある点などが相違する。なお、実施形態1と同様の構成要素には同一の符号を付して説明を省略する。
本実施形態の発光装置の基本構成は実施形態1と略同じであり、図4に示すように、スペーサ40の構造が相違する。なお、実施形態1と同様の構成要素には同一の符号を付して説明を省略する。
図5に示す本実施形態の発光装置の基本構成は実施形態3と略同じであり、スペーサ40の端子片41a,42aが、第2のガラス基板30における第1のガラス基板20側とは反対側の表面を含む平面から突出するように突出寸法を設定してある点が相違する。なお、実施形態3と同様の構成要素には同一の符号を付して説明を省略する。

Claims (6)
- 有機EL素子が一表面側に配設され他表面側を光取り出し面側とする第1のガラス基板と、前記第1のガラス基板の前記一表面側で前記有機EL素子よりも離れて配置され前記第1のガラス基板に対向する第2のガラス基板と、前記第1のガラス基板と前記第2のガラス基板との間に介在し前記有機EL素子を囲むスペーサとを備え、前記スペーサは、合金を用いて形成された枠体であり、前記第1のガラス基板および前記第2のガラス基板それぞれにフリットガラスにより形成された接合部を介して全周に亘って接合されてなることを特徴とする発光装置。
- 前記第1のガラス基板と前記第2のガラス基板と前記スペーサと前記フリットガラスとの熱膨張係数を揃えてあることを特徴とする請求項1記載の発光装置。
- 前記合金が、コバールであることを特徴とする請求項2記載の発光装置。
- 前記枠体は、前記合金からなる管を用いて枠状に形成されてなることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の発光装置。
- 前記スペーサは、前記合金により形成されて前記枠体の一部を構成し前記有機EL素子の陽極に電気的に接続される第1の合金部と、前記合金により形成されて前記枠体の他の一部を構成し前記有機EL素子の陰極に電気的に接続される第2の合金部と、前記第1の合金部と前記第2の合金部との互いの対向する対向面間に介在し前記第1の合金部と前記第2の合金部とを電気的に絶縁するフリットガラスにより形成された絶縁部とで構成されてなることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の発光装置。
- 前記スペーサは、前記第1の合金部および前記第2の合金部それぞれに一体形成され前記第2のガラス基板側で前記第2のガラス基板の厚み方向に沿う方向に突出した端子片を有し、各端子片は、前記第2のガラス基板における前記第1のガラス基板側とは反対側の表面を含む平面よりも突出していることを特徴とする請求項5記載の発光装置。
