本発明者等は、触媒担持担体の酸基密度を変化させ、酸基密度ごとに高分子電解質のスルホン酸基密度を変化させてそれぞれに対応した触媒インクを調合し、各触媒インクを使用して電極触媒および膜電極接合体を作成し、この膜電極接合体にガス拡散層を配して燃料電池セルを作成した。

Claims (3)
- 電極触媒を形成する触媒担持担体と高分子電解質に関し、触媒担持担体の酸基密度をX,高分子電解質のスルホン酸基密度をYとした際に、以下の2式で規定される範囲内の酸基密度とスルホン酸基密度を有する、
(1)Y=−0.285X+0.99、
(2)Y=−0.285X+1.09、
電極触媒。 - 請求項1に記載の電極触媒を電解質膜のアノード側およびカソード側のそれぞれに備えてなる膜電極接合体。
- 請求項2に記載の膜電極接合体を備えてなる燃料電池セル。
