Abstract
【解決手段】離れた所から視聴した場合に視覚的な継ぎ目がカムフラージュされるように、合成画像のうちギャップに隣接する領域の1つ以上の発光特性を修正する、またはギャップの間隔に一致するパターンを合成画像中に生成する、ことの少なくとも1つによって、タイル状ディスプレイシステムにおける複数の構成可能なディスプレイデバイスにより、もしくはディスプレイデバイスおよび周辺環境との間により表示される合成画像のエッジ混合のための画像形成システムとその改善方法を提供する。発光特性は、例えば、明度および/または色彩であればよく、パターンは、例えば、ギャップの間隔と一致する格子パターンであればよい。

Claims (15)
- 隣接する複数のディスプレイデバイスにわたって1つの合成画像を表示するための画像形成システムであって、前記各ディスプレイデバイスが少なくとも1つの隣接する他のディスプレイデバイスとの間または周辺領域との間にギャップを有しているシステムにおける該ギャップによって生じる継ぎ目を改善する方法において、
合成画像のうち前記ギャップに隣接する領域における1つもしくは複数の発光特性を修正するステップ、または、前記ギャップの間隔に一致するパターンを前記合成画像中に形成するステップの少なくとも1つを含むことにより、前記ギャップにより生じる継ぎ目をカムフラージュする、ことを特徴とする継ぎ目を改善する方法。 - 前記発光特性は、明度および色彩の少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記パターンは、前記ギャップの間隔に一致する水平および垂直なラインの格子を含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記修正するステップは、前記ギャップに隣接する前記領域において、連続する明ラインを生成することを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記修正するステップは、前記ギャップに隣接する前記領域において、断続的な明領域を生成することを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記修正するステップは、前記ギャップに隣接する前記領域において、前記合成画像の上に明領域パターンを重畳することを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記修正するステップは、前記ギャップに隣接する前記領域において、ランダムな明暗領域を生成することを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記修正するステップは、前記ギャップに隣接する前記領域において、断続的な明暗領域を生成することを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記修正するステップは、前記ギャップに隣接する前記領域において、前記合成画像の上に明暗領域パターンを重畳することを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 1つの合成画像の供給源と、
複数の幾何学的な配置に構成可能な複数のディスプレイデバイスと、
を備えた画像形成システムであって、
前記各ディスプレイデバイスは、少なくとも1つの隣接する他のディスプレイデバイスとの間または周辺領域との間にギャップを有し、
各ディスプレイデバイスは、合成画像を受け取りる手段と、これに応じて前記合成画像の各部分を生成する手段と、該合成画像のうち前記ギャップに隣接する領域における1つもしくは複数の発光特性を修正する手段、または、前記ギャップの間隔に一致するパターンを前記合成画像中に形成する手段の少なくとも1つとを備えることにより、前記ギャップによって生じる継ぎ目をカムフラージュする、
ことを特徴とする画像形成システム。 - 前記発光特性は、明度および色彩の少なくとも1つを含む、請求項10記載の画像形成システム。
- 前記パターンは、前記ギャップの間隔に一致する水平および垂直なラインの格子を含む、請求項10記載の画像形成システム。
- 前記修正する手段は、前記ギャップに隣接する前記領域において、連続する明ラインを生成する手段を含む、請求項10記載の画像形成システム。
- 前記修正する手段は、前記ギャップに隣接する前記領域において、断続的な明領域を生成する手段を含む、請求項10記載の画像形成システム。
- 前記修正する手段は、前記ギャップに隣接する前記領域において前記合成画像の上に明領域パターンを重畳する手段、前記ギャップに隣接する前記領域においてランダムな明暗領域を生成する手段、前記ギャップに隣接する前記領域において断続的な明暗領域を生成する手段、または前記ギャップに隣接する前記領域において前記合成画像の上に明暗領域パターンを重畳する手段のいずれか1つを含む、請求項10記載の画像形成システム。
