Abstract

【課題】 二つ折りにされたウエブの接合時において、股下部がアンビルロールの法線方向に折れ曲がることを確実に防止するとともに、吸収性物品の製造不良をより確実に抑制できるウェブ接合装置及びウェブ接合方法を提供する。
【解決手段】本発明に係るウェブ接合装置２００は、吸収性物品１用のウェブ６１,６２を、機械方向ＭＤと平行な折り曲げ線を基準として、交差方向ＣＤに折り重ねた状態で、一対の胴回り部１０を接合する。ウェブ接合装置２００は、一対の胴回り部１０を接合する超音波ホーン２１１と、超音波ホーン２１１に対向し、かつ超音波ホーン２１１との間で中間体ウェブ６を挟むアンビル２２２と、超音波ホーン２１１とアンビル２２２とによって中間体ウェブ６が接合される際に、股下部２０が胴回り部から離れる方向に沿って中間体ウェブ６伸長した状態で、中間体ウェブ６を保持する股下保持バー２４０とを備える。

Description

本発明は、胴回り部と股下部とを含む吸収性物品用のウエブを、股下部上における機械方向と平行な折り曲げ線を基準として、交差方向に折り重ねた状態で、一対の胴回り部を接合するウェブ接合装置及びウェブ接合方法に関する。
使い捨てのパンツ型おむつなどの吸収性物品は、一般的に、着用者の胴回りに対応する胴回り部（具体的には、前胴回り部及び後胴回り部）、着用者の股下に対応する股下部、及び着用者からの排泄物を吸収する吸収体などの部材から構成される。また、パンツ型おむつには、着用者の脚部が挿入される開口が形成された脚回り部が設けられる。脚回り部には、着用者に脚回り部をフィットさせるため、糸状のゴムを用いて形成されたレッグギャザーが設けられる。
このようなパンツ型おむつの製造工程では、上述した部材が連続したウエブがコンベアベルトなどを用いて搬送される。ウエブの折り工程では、脚回り部が形成されたウエブを、機械方向（ＭＤ）、つまり、製造工程の流れ方向に搬送させつつ、連続した前胴回り部と後胴回り部とが折り重なるように、機械方向と直交する交差方向（ＣＤ）にウエブが二つ折りにされる（例えば、特許文献１）。
次いで、ウエブの接合工程では、二つ折りにされたウエブを機械方向に引き続き搬送させつつ、超音波ホーンとアンビルロールとが設けられたウェブ接合装置を用いて前胴回り部と後胴回り部とが所定間隔毎に接合される（例えば、特許文献２）。その後、切断工程では、ウエブが個々のパンツ型おむつに切断される。

二つ折りにされたウエブの脚回り部には、レッグギャザーが設けられるため、ウエブの脚回り部近傍は、交差方向に収縮し易い。そのため、接合工程において、ウエブの脚回り部近傍が交差方向に収縮した状態でウエブが接合されると、前胴回り部と後胴回り部との接合部に皺が発生し易く、吸収性物品の製造不良が発生する問題があった。
接合工程では、ウエブは、アンビルロールの外周に沿った状態で搬送される。また、ウエブの股下部には吸収体が設けられているため、胴回り部に比べて股下部は重量増になっている。そのため、ウエブの股下部は、レッグギャザーの収縮に伴い胴回り部の方向に向かって収縮することによって、アンビルロールから浮き上がりやすくなっている。
この結果、ウエブがアンビルロールの外周に沿った状態で搬送される際、遠心力により股下部がアンビルロールから離れる方向、つまり、法線方向にめくれてしまうことがある。このとき、めくれた股下部が超音波ホーンに接触したり、超音波ホーンとアンビルロールと隙間に股下部が詰まったりし、吸収性物品の製造不良が発生してしまう。
そこで、本発明は、二つ折りにされたウエブの接合時において、股下部がアンビルロールの法線方向に離れることを確実に防止するとともに、吸収性物品の製造不良をより確実に抑制できるウェブ接合装置及びウェブ接合方法の提供を目的とする。
上述した課題を解決するため、本発明は、次のような特徴を有している。まず、本発明の第１の特徴は、吸収性物品（吸収性物品１）の製造工程の流れ方向に沿った機械方向（機械方向ＭＤ）に連続しかつ着用者の胴回りに対応する一対の胴回り部（一対の胴回り部１０）と、前記機械方向に非連続でありかつ一対の前記胴回り部間に位置する股下部（股下部２０）とを含む前記吸収性物品用のウエブ（ウェブ６１,６２）を、前記股下部上における前記機械方向と平行な折り曲げ線（中心線ＣＬ）を基準として、前記機械方向に直交する交差方向（交差方向ＣＤ）に折り重ねた状態（中間体ウェブ６の状態）で、前記一対の胴回り部を接合するウェブ接合装置（ウェブ接合装置２００）であって、前記一対の胴回り部を接合する接合機構（超音波ホーン２１１）と、前記接合機構に対向し、かつ前記接合機構との間で前記ウエブを接合するアンビル機構（アンビル２２２）と、前記接合機構と前記アンビル機構とによって前記一対の胴回り部が接合される際に、前記股下部が前記胴回り部から離れる方向に沿って前記ウエブを伸長した状態で、前記ウエブを保持する保持機構（股下保持バー２４０）とを備えることを要旨とする。
本発明の特徴によれば、二つ折りにされたウエブの接合時において、股下部がアンビルロールの法線方向に折れ曲がることを確実に防止するとともに、吸収性物品の製造不良をより確実に抑制できるウェブ接合装置及びウェブ接合方法を提供することができる。

次に、本発明に係るウェブ接合装置及びウェブ接合方法の実施形態について、図面を参照しながら説明する。なお、以下の図面の記載において、同一または類似の部分には、同一または類似の符号を付している。ただし、図面は模式的なものであり、各寸法の比率などは現実のものとは異なることに留意すべきである。
したがって、具体的な寸法などは以下の説明を参酌して判断すべきものである。また、図面相互間においても互いの寸法の関係や比率が異なる部分が含まれていることは勿論である。
まず、本実施形態に係るウェブ接合装置及びウェブ接合方法によって製造される吸収性物品１の構成について、図面を参照しながら説明する。図１は、本実施形態に係る吸収性物品１を示す斜視図である。
本実施形態では、吸収性物品１は、使い捨てのパンツ型おむつである。図１に示すように、吸収性物品１は、表面シート２と、裏面シート３と、吸収体４とによって大略構成される。
表面シート２は、着用者の肌に接する吸収性物品１の最も内側に設けられる。表面シート２には、不織布や開口プラスチックフィルムなどの液透過性のシートなどが使用される。裏面シート３は、吸収性物品１の最も外側（着用者から離れる側）に設けられる。裏面シート３には、液不透過性のシートなどが使用される。吸収体４は、表面シート２及び裏面シート３の間に設けられ、着用者からの排泄物を吸収する。吸収体４には、粉砕パルプと高吸収性ポリマー粒子との混合物などが使用される。
このような吸収性物品１は、着用者の胴回りに対応する一対の胴回り部１０（前胴回り部及び後胴回り部）と、着用者の股下に対応する股下部２０とによって構成される。なお、胴回り部１０は、着用者の腰回り側部において接合部３０によって接合される。
この吸収性物品１には、複数の開口部４０（胴回り開口部及び脚周り開口部）が設けられる。開口部４０の周縁には、糸状のゴムを用いて形成されたギャザー５０が設けられている。
次に、本実施形態に係る吸収性物品１の製造方法について、図面を参照しながら説明する。図２は、本実施形態に係る吸収性物品１の製造方法の一部を説明するための図である。
図２に示すように、吸収性物品１の製造方法は、胴回り部形成工程Ｓ１と、股下部材転写工程Ｓ２と、脚周り部形成工程Ｓ３と、折り工程Ｓ４と、接合工程Ｓ５と、切断工程Ｓ６とを少なくとも含む。
胴回り部形成工程Ｓ１では、ウェブ６Ａとウェブ６Ｂとの間にギャザー５０を配置することによって、一対の胴回り部１０のそれぞれに対応する一対のウェブ６１，６２を形成する。
なお、ウェブ６１，６２（ウェブ６Ａ及びウェブ６Ｂ）は、ギャザー５０が設けられることによって、吸収性物品１の製造工程の流れ方向に沿った機械方向ＭＤに直交する交差方向ＣＤに収縮（伸縮）する性質を有する。また、ウェブ６１，６２は、機械方向ＭＤの中心を通り、かつ機械方向ＭＤに沿った中心線ＣＬを基準に非対称である。
股下部材転写工程Ｓ２では、胴回り部形成工程Ｓ１の後（下流側）において、一対のウェブ６１，６２の間に、機械方向ＭＤに沿って所定間隔毎に股下部２０に対応する股下部材２０Ａを転写（配置）する。なお、股下部材２０Ａは、表面シート２、裏面シート３及び吸収体４などによって構成される。
脚周り部形成工程Ｓ３では、股下部材転写工程Ｓ２の後（下流側）において、ウェブ６１，６２（ウェブ６Ａ及びウェブ６Ｂ）及び股下部材２０Ａを構成する裏面シート３の一部を切断する。つまり、ウェブ６１，６２上において、ひとつの吸収性物品１に対応する脚周り開口部と、当該吸収性物品１に隣接する他の吸収性物品１に対応する脚周り開口部とによって空隙ＡＲを形成する。この空隙ＡＲは、機械方向ＭＤに沿って複数形成される。また、空隙ＡＲは、ウェブ６１，６２の平面視において、円弧状である。
折り工程Ｓ４では、脚周り部形成工程Ｓ３の後（下流側）において、一対のウェブ６１，６２を、股下部材２０Ａ上における機械方向ＭＤと平行な折り曲げ線を基準として、交差方向ＣＤに折り重ねる。具体的には、折り曲げ線を基準として、一方のウェブ６１の側縁１０Ａと、他方のウェブ６２の側縁１０Ｂとを、所定の位置関係で位置決めして二つ折りにする。これにより、中間体ウェブ６を得る。このとき、空隙ＡＲは、折り重ねられた中間体ウェブ６の平面視において、半月状となる。
本実施形態では、折り曲げ線とは、中間体ウェブ６の交差方向ＣＤ中心を通り、かつ機械方向ＭＤに向かう中心線ＣＬである。また、折り曲げ線は、必ずしも中心線ＣＬである必要はなく、中心線ＣＬから側縁１０Ａ側または側縁１０Ｂ側にずれていてもよい。
接合工程Ｓ５では、折り工程Ｓ４の後（下流側）において、後述するウェブ接合装置２００（図６参照）を用いて、一対の胴回り部１０が接合される接合部３０に対応する接合領域４０Ａを接合する。なお、接合領域４０Ａは、中間体ウェブ６の交差方向ＣＤに延びる切断予定位置を示す仮想線ＳＬの両側に形成される。
この接合工程Ｓ５では、後述する股下保持バー２４０によって、ウェブ接合装置２００における超音波ホーン２１１とアンビル２２２とによって接合領域４０Ａを接合する際に、股下部材２０Ａが胴回り部１０から離れる方向、かつ交差方向ＣＤに沿って中間体ウェブ６を伸長した状態で、中間体ウェブ６を保持している。
切断工程Ｓ６では、接合工程Ｓ５の後（下流側）において、接合領域４０Ａで接合された中間体ウェブ６を機械方向ＭＤに沿って所定間隔毎、すなわち、仮想線ＳＬに沿って切断する。これにより、個々の吸収性物品１が製造される。
次に、本実施形態に係るウェブ接合装置２００の構成について、図面を参照しながら説明する。図３は、本実施形態に係るウェブ接合装置２００を示す斜視図である。
図３に示すように、ウェブ接合装置２００は、折り工程Ｓ４において折り曲げ線を基準として交差方向ＣＤにウェブ６１，６２を折り重ねる折り装置９０（折り機構）よりも下流側に位置する。ウェブ接合装置２００は、接合部３０に対応する接合領域４０Ａを接合することによって、中間体ウェブ６に接合部３０を形成する。ウェブ接合装置２００は、超音波機構２１０（接合機構）と、回転ドラム２２０（アンビル機構）と、ガイドロール２３０と、股下保持バー２４０（保持機構）と、規制部５００とを有する。
超音波機構２１０は、後述する回転ドラム２２０におけるアンビル２２２と協働して中間体ウェブ６の接合領域４０Ａを挟み込むことによって、接合領域４０Ａに超音波振動を付与する。超音波機構２１０は、接合部３０に対応する接合領域４０Ａを接合する超音波ホーン２１１を少なくとも含む。超音波ホーン２１１は、超音波振動子（不図示）から発振される超音波振動を、中間体ウェブ６を挟んでアンビル２２２に接することにより接合領域４０Ａに付与することによって、当該接合領域４０Ａを接合する。
回転ドラム２２０は、中間体ウェブ６を支持しながら、中間体ウェブ６を機械方向ＭＤに向けて搬送する。回転ドラム２２０には、回転ドラム２２０の外周面から凹む凹部２２１（図４参照）に固定された複数のアンビル２２２が設けられる。アンビル２２２は、中間体ウェブ６を挟んで超音波ホーン２１１と対向し、回転ドラム２２０の外周面において機械方向ＭＤに所定間隔毎に複数（例えば、５つ）設けられる。アンビル２２２は、回転ドラム２２０から外側に向かって突出する。
ガイドロール２３０は、中間体ウェブ６及び股下保持バー２４０が回転ドラム２２０の外周面に沿うように、中間体ウェブ６及び股下保持バー２４０を支持する。ガイドロール２３０は、中間体ウェブ６を挟んで回転ドラム２２０の反対側に位置する。ガイドロール２３０は、回転ドラム２２０よりも上流側に位置する上流側ロール２３１と、回転ドラム２２０よりも下流側に位置する下流側ロール２３２とをによって構成される。
股下保持バー２４０は、股下部材２０Ａが胴回り部１０から離れる方向、かつ交差方向ＣＤに沿って中間体ウェブ６を伸長した状態で、中間体ウェブ６を搬送可能に保持する。股下保持バー２４０は、伸長した中間体ウェブ６が収縮しないように保持する。
股下保持バー２４０は、後述する規制部５００によって変位が規制（保持）される。股下保持バー２４０は、折り重ねられた中間体ウェブ６の股下部材２０Ａの内側から中間体ウェブ６を伸長している。
股下保持バー２４０は、股下部材２０Ａの内側から中間体ウェブ６を伸長可能な位置に設けられるとともに、股下部材２０Ａの内側が摺動可能に中間体ウェブ６を案内する。なお、股下部材２０Ａの内側とは、一対のウェブ６１，６２が二つ折りされる際、一方の胴回り部１０側に位置する表面シート２の一部と、他方の胴回り部１０側に位置する表面シート２の一部との間に挟まれた部分を示す。
このような股下保持バー２４０は、折り装置９０から、超音波ホーン２１１とアンビル２２２とによって接合領域４０Ａを接合するまでの間に少なくとも設けられる。本実施形態では、股下保持バー２４０は、折り工程Ｓ４によって一対のウェブ６１，６２の折り重ねが完了した箇所から、接合工程Ｓ５において用いられるウェブ接合装置２００まで存在する。
具体的には、股下保持バー２４０は、回転ドラム２２０の外周面の一部に沿って配設される。中間体ウェブ６及び股下保持バー２４０は、回転ドラム２２０の軸方向視において、上側に位置する回転ドラム２２０の外周面を通過している。
また、本実施形態では、股下保持バー２４０は、折り工程Ｓ４で使用される折り装置９０を構成する折返ガイドバーが延長することによって構成される。なお、折返ガイドバーは、折り曲げ線上において機械方向ＭＤに沿って延び、一方のウェブ６１と他方のウェブ６２とを折り重ねる際の基点を押さえ付ける。
股下保持バー２４０は、機械方向ＭＤに沿って延びる棒状部材によって構成される。股下保持バー２４０の短手方向の断面は、円形状である。また、股下保持バー２４０は、金属材料で形成されるとともに、フッ素樹脂で形成された被覆材（例えば、ポリテトラフルオロエチレンからなるチューブ）により被覆される。
次に、本実施形態に係る規制部５００の構成について、図面を参照しながら説明する。図４は、本実施形態に係る規制部５００近傍を示す斜視図である。図５は、本実施形態に係る回転ドラム２２０の一部を示す断面図である。
図４及び図５に示すように、規制部５００は、後述する股下保持バー２４０の変位を規制する。規制部５００は、回転ドラム２２０の外周面の一部に設けられ、回転ドラム２２０とともに回転する。規制部５００は、回転ドラム２２０の周方向において、アンビル２２２と同位置に複数（例えば、５つ）に設けられる。
規制部５００は、中間体ウェブ６が回転ドラム２２０の外周面を通過するときに、搬送される中間体ウェブ６に形成された空隙ＡＲに位置した状態で回転する（図３参照）。具体的には、規制部５００は、股下保持バー２４０よりも中間体ウェブ６の胴回り部１０側に位置する。特に、規制部５００は、中間体ウェブ６の平面視における半月状の広がった部分寄りに設けられることが好ましい。
規制部５００は、股下保持バー２４０と当接することによって中間体ウェブ６の機械方向ＭＤに回転可能なローラを含む。具体的には、規制部５００は、複数の第１ローラ５１０と、複数の第２ローラ５２０とを少なくとも含む。
第１ローラ５１０は、回転ドラム２２０と股下保持バー２４０との摩擦を低減させる。第１ローラ５１０は、股下保持バー２４０の鉛直方向に沿った変位を規制する鉛直規制部を構成する。第１ローラ５１０は、回転ドラム２２０の凹部２２１に固定されるフレーム５１１によって支持される。第１ローラ５１０は、回転ドラム２２０の軸芯と同一の軸５１０Ａを有する。第１ローラ５１０は、回転ドラム２２０の幅方向に縦長の形状をなしている。第１ローラ５１０は、回転ドラム２２０の外周面よりも外側に突出している（図５参照）。第１ローラ５１０は、回転ドラム２２０の回転とともに、股下保持バー２４０における回転ドラム２２０側と接しながら回転する。
第２ローラ５２０は、股下保持バー２４０が中間体ウェブ６の胴回り部１０側に変位することを規制する。第２ローラ５２０は、股下保持バー２４０が交差方向ＣＤに沿った変位を規制する交差規制部を構成する。第２ローラ５２０は、回転ドラム２２０の外周面に固体されるフレーム５２１によって支持される。第２ローラ５２０は、回転ドラム２２０の軸芯に対して直交する方向（回転ドラム２２０の径方向）に沿った軸５２０Ａを有する。第２ローラ５２０の幅は、股下保持バー２４０の径以上に設定される。第２ローラ５２０は、股下保持バー２４０における中間体ウェブ６の胴回り部１０側と接しながら回転する。
以上説明した実施形態では、股下保持バー２４０は、超音波ホーン２１１とアンビル２２２とによって中間体ウェブ６が接合される際に、股下部材２０Ａが胴回り部１０から離れる方向に沿って中間体ウェブ６を伸長した状態で、中間体ウェブ６を搬送可能に保持する。これによれば、股下保持バー２４０は、脚周り開口部の周縁にギャザー５０が設けられていても、中間体ウェブ６（特に、脚周り開口部近傍）が交差方向ＣＤに収縮することを抑制できる。このため、中間体ウェブ６の接合時、つまり、中間体ウェブ６を押圧する場合でも、一対の胴回り部１０における接合部３０に皺などの不具合が発生しにくく、吸収性物品の製造不良をより確実に抑制できる。
また、中間体ウェブ６が回転ドラム２２０の外周に沿った状態で搬送されても、遠心力により股下部材２０Ａが回転ドラム２２０から離れる方向、つまり、法線方向にめくれてしまうことがない。このため、股下部材２０Ａが超音波ホーン２１１に接触したり、超音波ホーン２１１とアンビル２２２と隙間に股下部材２０Ａが詰まったりすることない。従って、吸収性物品の製造不良をより確実に抑制できるとともに、ウェブ接合装置２００の故障を防止できる。
実施形態では、股下保持バー２４０は、折り装置９０から、超音波ホーン２１１とアンビル２２２とによって接合領域４０Ａを接合するまでの間に少なくとも設けられる。つまり、股下保持バー２４０は、折り工程Ｓ４によって一対のウェブ６１，６２の折り重ねが完了した箇所から、接合工程Ｓ５において用いられるウェブ接合装置２００まで存在する。これによれば、股下保持バー２４０は、中間体ウェブ６が交差方向ＣＤに収縮していない状態で、中間体ウェブ６を搬送してウェブ接合装置２００に受け渡せるため、中間体ウェブ６に皺などの不具合が発生することをより確実に抑制できる。
実施形態では、股下保持バー２４０は、折り重ねられた中間体ウェブ６の股下部材２０Ａの内側から中間体ウェブ６を伸長する。例えば、股下部材２０Ａの外側から中間体ウェブ６を挟み込むベルトコンベアなどで中間体ウェブ６を伸張する場合、股下部材２０Ａの外側とベルトコンベアとの間において、皺などの不具合が股下部材２０Ａの外側（裏面シート３側）に発生してしまう場合がある。しかし、股下保持バー２４０が股下部材２０Ａの内側から中間体ウェブ６を伸長することで、股下保持バー２４０が股下部材２０Ａの外側に接することなく、かつ股下保持バー２４０と中間体ウェブ６との接触部分が少なくなるため、股下部材２０Ａの外側に皺などの不具合が発生しにくくなる。
実施形態では、股下保持バー２４０は、機械方向ＭＤに沿って延びる棒状部材によって構成される。例えば、股下部材２０Ａの外側から中間体ウェブ６を挟み込むベルトコンベアなどで中間体ウェブ６を伸張する場合と比べて、安価にかつ容易にウェブ接合装置２００に股下保持バー２４０を設置できるとともに、容易な構成で中間体ウェブ６に皺などの不具合が発生することをより確実に抑制できる。
実施形態では、ウェブ接合装置２００は、股下保持バー２４０の変位を規制する規制部５００を有する。この規制部５００は、中間体ウェブ６が回転ドラム２２０の外周面を通過するときに、中間体ウェブ６上において胴回り部１０によって形成された空隙ＡＲに位置する。これによれば、中間体ウェブ６の収縮しようとする応力に伴い、股下保持バー２４０が中間体ウェブ６の胴回り部１０側にずれようとしても、規制部５００が股下保持バー２４０の変位を規制できる。つまり、股下保持バー２４０が必要以上に中間体ウェブ６の胴回り部１０側にずれることがない。このため、股下保持バー２４０により中間体ウェブ６の収縮を確実に抑制でき、中間体ウェブ６に皺などの不具合が発生することをより確実に抑制できる。
実施形態では、規制部５００は、股下保持バー２４０と当接することによって、股下保持バー２４０の鉛直方向に沿った変位を規制する第１ローラ５１０を有する。これによれば、股下保持バー２４０は、回転ドラム２２０の外周に直接接することなく、第１ローラ５１０に接する。このため、回転する回転ドラム２２０と回転しない股下保持バー２４０との摩擦が低減する。従って、股下保持バー２４０が回転ドラム２２０の回転を邪魔することなく、中間体ウェブ６に皺などの不具合が発生することをより確実に抑制できる。
実施形態では、規制部５００は、股下保持バー２４０と当接することによって、股下保持バー２４０の交差方向ＣＤに沿った変位を規制する第２ローラ５２０を有する。これによれば、中間体ウェブ６が交差方向ＣＤに収縮しようとする応力に伴い、股下保持バー２４０が中間体ウェブ６の胴回り部１０側にずれようとしても、股下保持バー２４０が第２ローラ５２０に接触する。つまり、股下保持バー２４０が必要以上に中間体ウェブ６の胴回り部１０側にずれることがない。このため、股下保持バー２４０により交差方向ＣＤに沿って伸長した状態で中間体ウェブ６を確実に保持でき、中間体ウェブ６に皺などの不具合が発生することをより確実に抑制できる。
実施形態では、規制部５００は、中間体ウェブ６が回転ドラム２２０の外周面を通過するときに、中間体ウェブ６によって形成された空隙ＡＲに位置しながら回転ドラム２２０とともに回転する。これによれば、規制部５００が中間体ウェブ６と接することないため、中間体ウェブ６に皺などの不具合が発生することをさらに確実に抑制できる。
実施形態では、規制部５００は、股下保持バー２４０と当接することによってウェブ６１の機械方向ＭＤに回転可能なローラ（第１ローラ５１０及び第２ローラ５２０）を含む。これによれば、回転ドラム２２０の外周面の一部（上側）に沿って配設されている状態で股下保持バー２４０が回転ドラム２２０の回転を妨げになることなく、ウェブ６１が交差方向ＣＤに収縮することを防止できる。
実施形態では、股下保持バー２４０の短手方向の断面は、円形状である。また、股下保持バー２４０は、金属材料で形成されるとともに、フッ素樹脂で形成された被覆材により被覆される。これによれば、ウェブ６１における股下部２０の内側が股下保持バー２４０を摺動しやすくなる。このため、一対の胴回り部１０に比べて、股下部２０が遅れて搬送されることを防止でき、股下部２０に皺や捻れなどの不具合が発生することを抑制できる。
（変更例）
次に、上述した実施形態に係る保持機構の変更例について、図面を参照しながら説明する。図６は、変更例に係る保持機構の一部を示す斜視図である。なお、上述した実施形態に係る保持機構と同一部分には同一の符号を付して、相違する部分を主として説明する。
上述した実施形態では、保持機構として、機械方向ＭＤに沿って延びる股下保持バー２４０である。これに対して、変更例では、図６に示すように、保持機構として、第１コンベア２５１と、第２コンベア２５２と、第３コンベア２５３とを備えるコンベア装置２５０である。
第１コンベア２５１は、複数のローラ２５１Ａと、複数のローラ２５１Ａ間を巻回するとともに、外気が通過する孔が複数形成される搬送ベルト２５１Ｂと、搬送ベルト２５１Ｂを複数のローラ２５１Ａ間で巻回させる駆動手段（不図示）と、搬送ベルト２５１Ｂに形成された孔を介して外気を吸引可能であり、搬送ベルト２５１Ｂ上に位置する中間体ウェブ６を吸着するサクション機構２５１Ｃとを有する。
第２コンベア２５２は、回転ドラム２２０の外周に沿って配置されて回転ドラム２２０と共に回転可能であるとともに、外気が通過する孔が複数形成される回転ベルト２５２Ａと、回転ベルト２５２Ａに形成された孔を介して外気を吸引可能であり、回転ベルト２５２Ａ上に位置する中間体ウェブ６を吸着するサクション機構２５２Ｂとを有する。
なお、第２コンベア２５２は、必ずしも回転ベルト２５２Ａとサクション機構２５２Ｂとを有している必要はない。例えば、図７に示すように、第２コンベア２５２は、複数のローラ２５２Ｃと、複数のローラ２５２Ｃ間を巻回する押付ベルト２５２Ｄとを有していてもよい。押付ベルト２５２Ｄは、回転ドラム２２０の軸方向視において、上側に位置する回転ドラム２２０の外周面側で中間体ウェブ６を当該外周面に押さえ付けている。
第３コンベア２５３は、第１コンベア２５１と同様に、複数のローラ２５３Ａと、搬送ベルト２５３Ｂと、駆動手段（不図示）と、サクション機構２５３Ｃとを有する。
以上説明した変更例では、実施形態で説明した股下保持バー２４０を用いることなく、股下部２０が胴回り部１０から離れる方向に沿って中間体ウェブ６を伸長した状態で、中間体ウェブ６を搬送可能に保持できる。
（その他の実施形態）
上述したように、本発明の実施形態を通じて本発明の内容を開示したが、この開示の一部をなす論述及び図面は、本発明を限定するものであると理解すべきではない。この開示から当業者には様々な代替実施の形態、実施例及び運用技術が明らかとなろう。
例えば、本発明の実施形態は、次のように変更することができる。具体的には、吸収性物品１は、一対の胴回り部１０と、股下部２０とが組み合わされること（いわゆる、３ピースタイプ）によって形成されるものとして説明したが、これに限定されるものではなく、一対の胴回り部１０と、股下部２０とが全て一体（いわゆる、１ピースタイプ）に形成されてもよい。
また、吸収性物品１は、使い捨てのパンツ型おむつであるものとして説明したが、これに限定されるものではなく、折り工程Ｓ４が用いられた物品（例えば、オープン型おむつやナプキン）であればよい。なお、吸収性物品１は、実施形態で説明した構成に限定されるものではなく、目的に応じて適宜設定できることは勿論である。
また、ウェブ６１,６２は、ギャザー５０によって交差方向ＣＤに収縮（伸縮）する性質を有するものとして説明したが、これに限定されるものではなく、ウェブ６１,６２そのものが収縮する性質を有するシートで形成されていてもよい。
また、ウェブ６１,６２は、中心線ＣＬを基準に非対称であるものとして説明したが、これに限定されるものではなく、中心線ＣＬを基準に線対称であってもよい。
また、吸収性物品１の製造方法は、実施形態で説明したものに限定されるものではなく、順序が入れ替わっていもよく（例えば、脚周り部形成工程Ｓ３が切断工程Ｓ６に含まれていてもよく）、吸収性物品１を製造できればよい。
また、ウェブ接合装置２００は、上述した実施形態の構成に限定されるものではなく、例えば、加熱処理などを施す構成であってもよい。
また、規制部５００は、中間体ウェブ６の機械方向ＭＤに回転可能なローラであるものとして説明したが、これに限定されるものではなく、ローラ以外であっても股下保持バー２４０を規制可能な部材（例えば、回転ドラム２２０の外周面から突出する突起）などであってもよい。
また、規制部５００は、股下保持バー２４０よりも中間体ウェブ６の胴回り部１０側に位置するものとして説明したが、これに限定されるものではなく、股下保持バー２４０よりも中間体ウェブ６の胴回り部１０側と、股下保持バー２４０よりも回転ドラム２２０の胴回り部の逆側とに設けられていてもよい。
このように、本発明は、ここでは記載していない様々な実施の形態などを含むことは勿論である。したがって、本発明の技術的範囲は、上述の説明から妥当な特許請求の範囲に係る発明特定事項によってのみ定められるものである。

Claims (10)

  1. 吸収性物品の製造工程の流れ方向に沿った機械方向に連続しかつ着用者の胴回りに対応する一対の胴回り部と、前記機械方向に非連続でありかつ一対の前記胴回り部間に位置する股下部とを含む前記吸収性物品用のウエブを、前記股下部上における前記機械方向と平行な折り曲げ線を基準として、前記機械方向に直交する交差方向に折り重ねた状態で搬送するウェブ接合装置であって、
    前記一対の胴回り部を接合する接合機構と、
    前記接合機構に対向し、かつ前記接合機構との間で前記ウエブを接合するアンビル機構と、
    前記接合機構と前記アンビル機構とによって前記一対の胴回り部が接合される際に、前記股下部が前記胴回り部から離れる方向に沿って前記ウエブを伸長した状態で、前記ウエブを保持する保持機構と
    を備えるウェブ接合装置。
  2. 前記ウェブ接合装置よりも前記機械方向の上流側には、前記折り曲げ線を基準として、前記機械方向に直交する交差方向に前記ウエブ折り重ねる折り機構が設けられ、
    前記保持機構は、前記折り機構から、前記接合機構と前記アンビル機構とによって前記一対の胴回り部を接合するまでの間に少なくとも設けられる請求項１に記載のウェブ接合装置。
  3. 前記保持機構は、折り重ねられた一対の前記ウエブの前記股下部の内側から前記ウエブを伸長する請求項１または２に記載のウェブ接合装置。
  4. 前記保持機構は、前記機械方向に沿って延びる棒状部材によって構成される請求項１乃至３の何れか一項に記載のウェブ接合装置。
  5. 前記アンビル機構は、前記棒状部材の変位を規制する規制部を有している請求項４に記載のウェブ接合装置。
  6. 前記規制部は、前記棒状部材と当接することによって、前記棒状部材の鉛直方向に沿った変位を規制する鉛直規制部を有する請求項５に記載のウェブ接合装置。
  7. 前記規制部は、前記棒状部材と当接することによって、前記棒状部材の交差方向に沿った変位を規制する交差規制部を有する請求項５または６に記載のウェブ接合装置。
  8. 前記規制部は、前記ウエブが前記回転ドラムの外周面を通過するときに、前記ウエブ上において隣接する一対の前記脚回り部によって形成された空隙に位置する請求項５乃至７の何れか一項に記載のウェブ接合装置。
  9. 前記規制部は、前記ウエブの搬送方向に回転可能なローラを含む請求項５に記載のウェブ接合装置。
  10. 吸収性物品の製造工程の流れ方向に沿った機械方向に連続しかつ着用者の胴回りに対応する一対の胴回り部と、前記機械方向に非連続でありかつ一対の前記胴回り部間に位置する股下部とを含む前記吸収性物品用のウエブを、前記股下部上における前記機械方向と平行な折り曲げ線を基準として、前記機械方向に直交する交差方向に折り重ねた状態で、前記一対の胴回り部を接合するウェブ接合方法であって、
    前記一対の胴回り部を接合する接合機構と、前記接合機構に対向し、かつ前記接合機構との間で前記ウエブを接合するアンビル機構とによって、前記一対の胴回り部を接合する工程を含み、
    前記工程では、保持機構によって、前記接合機構と前記アンビル機構とによって前記一対の胴回り部を接合する際に、前記股下部が前記胴回り部から離れる方向に沿って前記ウエブを伸長した状態で、前記ウエブを保持するウェブ接合方法。
