Description
Claims (26)
- 基部及び遠心部を規定する棒状本体を備え、
当該本体は、基部端と遠心端との間に位置し、少なくとも部分的に形状記憶材料で構成され、前記本体の非偏向部により規定される長手軸から偏向している成形部を有することを特徴とする成形ガイドワイヤ。 - 前記形状記憶材料は、形状記憶合金であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の成形ガイドワイヤ。
- 前記形状記憶合金は、ニッケル及びチタンを含有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の成形ガイドワイヤ。
- 前記形状記憶合金は、ニチノールを含有することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の成形ガイドワイヤ。
- 前記成形部は、前記長手軸に対して角度θだけ偏向した部位を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の成形ガイドワイヤ。
- 前記成形部は、前記ガイドワイヤが、患者の脈管系内でその成形部の位置を超えて進行することを防止することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の成形ガイドワイヤ。
- 前記成形部は、患者の体の切開部に位置した機器と相互に作用して、前記ガイドワイヤが前記患者の脈管系内を更に進むことを防止することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の成形ガイドワイヤ。
- 前記成形部は、負荷が与えられたときに実質的に変形可能なものであり、前記成形部は、前記負荷が取り除かれたときに非変形形状に戻ることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の成形ガイドワイヤ。
- 前記成形部は、前記ガイドワイヤ本体の前記基部端近傍に配設されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の成形ガイドワイヤ。
- 前記成形部は、半円形状をしていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の成形ガイドワイヤ。
- 前記成形部は、展性を有し、前記ガイドワイヤの使用前、使用中、又は使用後において、使用者により成形されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の成形ガイドワイヤ。
- 基部端及び遠心端を有するガイドワイヤの棒状本体であって、前記基部端及び遠心端の間に位置してニチノールを含有する中間部を有する本体を規定し、
前記本体の非偏向部の長手軸に対して偏った方向に前記中間部を拘持し、
前記偏った方向のままで前記中間部を熱処理して、前記偏った方向での拘持が解除された後も前記中間部がその偏りを維持するようにし、
前記中間部の前記拘持を終えることを特徴とするガイドワイヤの形成方法。 - 前記中間部の前記拘持を終える前に、前記中間部を冷却することを特徴とする請求項12に記載のガイドワイヤの形成方法。
- 前記中間部を熱処理する工程は、ニチノール材料内で相転移が起こるように前記中間部を熱処理することを特徴とする請求項12に記載のガイドワイヤの形成方法。
- 前記中間部を熱処理する工程は、約500℃と約550℃の間の範囲のある温度で、前記中間部を熱処理することを特徴とする請求項12に記載のガイドワイヤの形成方法。
- 前記中間部は、前記ガイドワイヤ本体の基部端近傍にあることを特徴とする請求項12に記載のガイドワイヤの形成方法。
- 前記中間部は、ある半径で規定される曲がりを有する半円形状であることを特徴とする請求項16に記載のガイドワイヤの形成方法。
- 基部端及び遠心端を有するガイドワイヤの棒状本体を規定すると共に、前記基部端近傍に位置し、ニチノールを含有する、前記本体の基部を規定し、
前記基部を熱処理して、前記基部が展性を有して、前記本体の使用者により曲げられるようにし、
前記基部を冷却することを特徴とするガイドワイヤの形成方法。 - 前記基部を熱処理する工程は、約30秒から約15分までの範囲のある時間だけ前記基部を熱処理することを特徴とする請求項18に記載のガイドワイヤの形成方法。
- 前記基部を熱処理する工程は、約500℃から約550℃までの範囲のある温度で、前記中間部を熱処理することを特徴とする請求項18に記載のガイドワイヤの形成方法。
- 前記基部を冷却する工程は、水槽内で前記基部を冷却することを特徴とする請求項18に記載のガイドワイヤの形成方法。
- 前記ガイドワイヤ本体の全体がニチノールを含有し、前記ガイドワイヤ本体の遠心部は熱処理されないことを特徴とする請求項18に記載のガイドワイヤの形成方法。
- 棒状本体を備える成形ガイドワイヤであって、
前記本体は、
ニチノールを含有する遠心部と、
ステンレス鋼が含有する基部であって、当該基部の非偏向部により規定される長手軸から偏向している成形部を有する基部と、
を備えることを特徴とする成形ガイドワイヤ。 - 前記成形部は、半円形状であることを特徴とする請求項23に記載の成形ガイドワイヤ。
- 前記基部及び遠心部は、溶接により互いに結合されていることを特徴とする請求項23に記載の成形ガイドワイヤ。
- 前記遠心部は、前記基部よりも相対的に屈曲に対する耐性があることを特徴とする請求項23に記載の成形ガイドワイヤ。
