Claims (29)
- 脊椎固定システムを埋込むためのシステムであって、該システムは、
接続要素を受けるようになされると共に、椎骨の中に螺着されるようになされたねじ山付きシャフトを有する脊椎アンカーであって、該脊椎アンカーは外周部および第1の係合要素を有する上部を含み、前記第1の係合要素が前記上部の第2の長手方向軸に全体的に平行な第1の長手方向軸を有し、前記外周部が前記第2の長手方向軸を中心にして延在している脊椎アンカーと、
第2の係合要素を含んだ駆動用工具であって、前記第2の係合要素が前記第1の係合要素と協働するように構成されて、前記第2の長手方向軸周りの前記駆動用工具の回転を前記脊椎アンカーに伝達する駆動用工具と
を備え、
前記第1の係合要素が、前記第2の係合要素を前記第1の長手方向軸に沿った方向にスライド可能に受けるように構成され、
前記第2の係合要素が、前記上部の前記外周部の実質的に内に拘束されるように構成されるシステム。 - 前記第1の係合要素が、雌要素としてさらに構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記雌要素がほぼ台形状をさらに含んでいる、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の係合要素が、雄要素としてさらに構成されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記雄要素がほぼ台形状をさらに含んでいる、請求項4に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の係合要素上の外向き延伸部材と、
前記外向き延伸部材の少なくとも一部を受けるように前記第1の係合要素上に構成されて、それによって前記第2の係合要素を内部に軸方向に保持する凹所と
をさらに備えている、請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 前記外向き延伸部材が、外向き付勢部材としてさらに構成されている、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記駆動用工具が、前記脊椎固定システムの接続要素を前記脊椎アンカーの前記上部に向かって案内するようになされるスロットをさらに備えている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記脊椎固定システムの前記接続要素を前記脊椎アンカーの前記上部に対して固着するように構成された固着部材をさらに備えている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記駆動用工具がガイドワイヤをさらに備え、前記固着部材が前記ガイドワイヤに解除可能に結合されると共に、前記脊椎アンカーの前記上部に結合されるようにさらに構成されている、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の係合要素が、前記上部の前記外周部内に十分に拘束されている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の係合要素が、前記第2の係合要素と前記第1の係合要素の係合を容易にするようになされる先細の端部をさらに備えている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記上部が、前記脊椎固定システムの前記接続要素を内部に受けるように構成された略U形チャンネルをさらに備えている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の長手方向軸とほぼ位置合わせされている前記駆動用工具内にあると共に、前記駆動用工具が前記脊椎アンカーの前記上部と係合されるときに前記脊椎アンカーの前記上部と連通している長手方向カニューレをさらに備えている、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 2つの隣接した椎骨の相対的な動きを制限するように接続要素を含んだ脊椎固定システムを埋込むためのシステムであって、該システムは、
前記椎骨のうちの1つの椎骨の中に螺着されるようになされたねじ山付きシャフトを有し、前記接続要素を内部に受けるようになされるチャンネル、外周部、および一対の第1の係合要素を有する上部を含む椎弓根スクリューであって、各前記第1の係合要素が前記上部の第2の長手方向軸にほぼ平行な第1の長手方向軸を有し、前記外周部が前記第2の長手方向軸を中心にして延在する椎弓根スクリューと、
スロットおよび一対の第2の係合要素を含んだ駆動用工具であって、前記第2の係合要素が前記一対の第1の係合要素と協働するように構成されて、前記第2の長手方向軸周りの前記駆動用工具の回転を前記椎弓根スクリューに伝達し、前記スロットが前記接続要素を前記上部に向かって案内するように構成された駆動用工具と
を具備し、
各前記第1の係合要素が、前記第2の係合要素のうちの1つの係合要素を前記第1の長手方向軸に沿った方向にスライド可能に受けるように構成され、
各前記第2の係合要素が、前記上部の前記外周部の実質的に内に拘束されるように構成されているシステム。 - 前記第1の係合要素が、台形状の雌要素としてさらに構成されている、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の係合要素が、台形状の雄要素としてさらに構成されている、請求項16に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の係合要素上の外向き延伸付勢部材と、
前記外向き延伸付勢部材の少なくとも一部を受けるように前記第1の係合要素上に構成されて、それによって前記第2の係合要素を内部に軸方向に保持している凹所と
をさらに備えている、請求項15に記載のシステム。 - 前記駆動用工具が、前記脊椎固定システムの前記接続要素を前記椎弓根スクリューの前記上部に向かって案内するようになされるスロットをさらに備えている、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記脊椎固定システムの前記接続要素を前記椎弓根スクリューの前記上部に対して固着するように構成された固着部材をさらに備えている、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記駆動用工具がガイドワイヤをさらに備え、前記固着部材が前記ガイドワイヤに解除可能に結合されると共に、前記椎弓根スクリューの前記上部に結合されるようにさらに構成されている、請求項20に記載のシステム。
- 前記上部が、前記脊椎固定システムの前記接続要素を内部に受けるように構成された略U形チャンネルをさらに備えている、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記第2の長手方向軸とほぼ位置合わせされている前記駆動用工具内にあると共に、前記駆動用工具が前記椎弓根スクリューの前記上部と係合されるときに前記椎弓根スクリューの前記上部と連通している長手方向カニューレをさらに備えている、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 脊椎固定システムを埋込むためのシステムであって、該システムは、

第2の係合要素を含んだ駆動用工具であって、前記第2の係合要素が前記第1の係合要素と協働するように構成されて、前記第2の長手方向軸周りの前記駆動用工具の回転を前記脊椎アンカーに伝達する駆動用工具と
を備え、
前記第1の係合要素が、前記第2の係合要素を前記第1の長手方向軸に沿った方向にスライド可能に受けるように構成され、
少なくとも1つの隆起部が、前記第2の係合要素から側方に延在して、前記第2の長手方向軸周りに回転時に、前記駆動用工具および前記脊椎アンカーのしっかりした係合を助けているシステム。 - 脊椎固定システムの脊椎アンカーを椎骨の中に埋込むための方法であって、脊椎アンカーが上部を有しており、前記方法は、
前記上部の第1の係合要素を、駆動用工具の第2の係合要素に前記上部の長手方向軸にほぼ平行な方向にスライド可能に係合する段階であって、前記第2の係合要素が実質的に前記上部の外周部内に留まり、前記外周部が前記上部の前記長手方向軸を中心にして延在しているように係合する段階と、
前記上部に対するおよび前記上部の前記長手方向軸周りの前記駆動用工具の回転を実質的に制限する段階と、
前記駆動用工具を回転して、それによって前記椎骨の中への前記脊椎アンカーの回転を引き起こす段階と
を含んでいる方法。 - 前記脊椎固定システムの接続要素を前記駆動用工具のスロットに沿っておよび前記上部に向かって案内する段階をさらに含んでいる、請求項25に記載の方法。

固着部材を前記脊椎アンカーの前記上部に装着する段階と

前記接続要素を前記スロットから前記脊椎アンカーの前記上部の中に通す段階と
