Abstract
Description
(a)潤滑粘度の油、および
(b)式Iによって表される物質および6〜12個の炭素原子のアルコールの縮合生成物;
ここで上記潤滑剤組成物は、最大約1.0までの硫酸灰分値、最大約0.08重量パーセントまでのリン含有量、および最大約0.4重量パーセントまでの硫黄含有量を有する。
種々の好ましい特徴および実施形態は、非制限的な説明として下に記述する。
この低硫黄性、低リン性、低灰分性の潤滑油組成物は、1つ以上の基油を含み、一般的に主要な量で存在する(すなわち、約50重量パーセントより多い量)。一般的に、この基油は、この潤滑油組成物の約60重量パーセントより多い量、または約70重量パーセントより多い量、あるいは約80重量パーセントより多い量で存在する。この基油の硫黄含有量は、代表的には0.2重量パーセント未満である。
本発明のタータレートは、酒石酸および1つ以上のアルコールの反応により調製され得る。
抗酸化剤(すなわち、酸化防止剤)としては、2,6−ジ−t−ブチルフェノールのようなヒンダード(hindered)フェノール性の抗酸化剤、および以下の式により表されるタイプのようなヒンダードフェノール性のエステル;
このR2は、アルキレン基であり、一般的にエチレン(C2H4)基である。このような分子は、一般的にアルケニルアシル化剤とポリアミンとの反応から誘導され、そして幅広く種類に富んだこの2つの部分の間の結合が、上に示した単純なイミド構造のほかに、可能であり、このことは種々のアミドおよび第四級アンモニウム塩を含む。コハク酸イミド分散剤は、より十分に米国特許第4,234,435号、同第3,172,892号および同第6,165,235号中に記述される。
オーバーベースド物質、すなわち界面活性剤の量は、存在する場合、一つの実施形態において組成物の0.05〜3重量パーセント、または0.1〜3重量パーセント、または0.1〜1.5重量パーセント、あるいは0.15〜1.5重量パーセントである。

成分3:(DL)酒石酸/C12〜14アルコール/2−エチルヘキシルアルコール(50:50)(水を除いた)
成分4:酒石酸エチルへキシル
この結果は、低硫黄性、低灰性および低リン性の潤滑剤中で本発明のタータレートを用いた調合物(実施例1〜4)がタータレートを含有しない、組成物へ送達される0.05%重量パーセントのリンを有する低SAPS調合物(C2)と比較して摩耗を軽減することを示す。それらは、さらにより高いリンを有する、便利なGF−3調合物(C1)と比較して等価な摩耗保護を提供する。
成分6:C8〜10のタータレート
この結果は、低硫黄性、低リン性および低灰性の潤滑剤中で本発明のタータレートを用いた調合物(実施例5〜6)がタータレートを含有しない、組成物へ送達される0.05%重量パーセントのリンを有する低SAPS調合物(C3〜C5)と比較して摩耗を軽減することを示す。
Claims (20)
- 請求項1に記載の組成物であって、前記アルコールが直鎖、分枝またはそれらの混合物である、組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の組成物であって、前記アルコールが約8個〜約10個の炭素原子を有する、組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の組成物であって、前記縮合生成物(b)が直鎖のC8−10アルキルのタータレートエステルである、組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の組成物であって、前記縮合生成物の量が約0.05〜約5.0重量パーセントである、組成物。
- 請求項5に記載の組成物であって、縮合生成物の前記量が約0.1〜約2.0重量パーセントである、組成物。
- 請求項6に記載の組成物であって、縮合生成物の前記量が約0.25〜約1.25重量パーセントである、組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の組成物であって、ジアルキルジチオリン酸の金属塩(metal dialkyldithiophosphate)をさらに含む、組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の組成物であって、前記ジアルキルジチオリン酸の金属塩がジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛であり、その該アルキル基の少なくとも約50パーセントが第二級アルキル基である、組成物。
