Abstract
【解決手段】相転移インクをその上に有する印刷媒体を折り畳むための折り畳みシステムは、相転移インクをその上に有する印刷基材を搬送するように構成された媒体経路44と、媒体経路44に沿って配置され、印刷基材を折り畳むように構成された折り畳み装置40と、印刷媒体上の相転移インクを折り畳み温度に加熱するように構成された折り畳みヒータ38を備え、折り畳み温度は約25℃より高く、相転移インクの溶融温度より低い。

Claims (4)
- 相転移インクをその上に有する印刷基材を搬送するように構成された媒体経路、
媒体経路に沿って配置され、印刷基材を折り畳むように構成された折り畳み装置、および、
印刷媒体上の相転移インクを折り畳み温度に加熱するように構成された折り畳みヒータを備え、折り畳み温度は約25℃より高く、相転移インクの溶融温度より低い、
相転移インクをその上に有する印刷媒体を折り畳むための折り畳みシステム。 - 折り畳み装置は、折り畳みブレードおよび1対の折り畳みローラを有し、折り畳みブレードは媒体経路に隣接して配置され、印刷基材と予め定められた折り目線で接触し、印刷基材を折り目線で折り畳みローラが形成するニップ内に押し込む、請求項1の折り畳みシステム。
- 折り畳みブレードは折り畳みヒータを有し、折り畳みブレードはその内部に加熱要素が配置されて成り、折り畳みブレードを折り畳み温度に加熱する、請求項2の折り畳みシステム。
- 折り畳みヒータは折り畳み装置を少なくとも部分的に封入する断熱された加熱容器を備え、容器は、折り畳み装置が印刷基材を折り畳む前または折り畳む際に、加熱容器の内部を、印刷基材を折り畳み温度にする程度にまで加熱するために、少なくとも1つのヒータを備える、請求項1の折り畳みシステム。
