Description

The present invention relates to a method for remodeling passenger conveyors such as escalators and moving walkways.

Conventionally, as a method of remodeling a passenger conveyor, the existing frame is removed from the existing passenger conveyor, the existing passenger conveyor is removed, a guide rail is attached to the upper surface of the existing frame, and the step is arranged to move endlessly. , A hand rail that moves in synchronism with this step, the step and a drive device that drives the hand rail, new rails that are mounted with various parts including a rail that stands upright at both ends of the step and a rail that guides the step By dividing the passenger conveyor into a plurality of conveyor units in the longitudinal direction of the existing frame, and attaching to each of these conveyor units a traveling roller that travels along a guide rail attached to the upper surface of the existing frame, the conveyor unit Along the longitudinal direction of the existing frame. By successively assembled by moving to a predetermined storage position within the beam, which was to accommodate placing the new passenger conveyor to the existing frame was known (e.g., see Patent Document 1).
Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 3-138294

However, in the method for remodeling a passenger conveyor described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 3-138294 described above, it is necessary to provide a guide rail on the upper surface over substantially the entire width in the longitudinal direction of the existing frame, and the time required for remodeling the passenger conveyor is long. As a result, there was a problem that the remodeling cost would be significantly increased.

In addition, since there is no means for pressing the left and right directions in the above-described conventional technology, the new conveyor unit shifts to the left and right when moving, and the new conveyor unit not only collides with the existing frame and breaks, but also causes the worker to escape from the worst. Risk of injury.

The present invention has been made from the above-described prior art, and its purpose is to move the conveyor unit safely and easily to a predetermined storage position in the existing frame without installing guide rails in the existing frame. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for remodeling a passenger conveyor that makes it possible.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention removes the existing passenger conveyor, leaves the existing passenger conveyor among the existing passenger conveyors, moves in an endless manner, and moves in synchronization with this step. A new passenger conveyor equipped with various components including a driving device for driving a handrail and a rail for guiding the step is divided into a plurality of conveyor units in the longitudinal direction of the existing frame, and each conveyor unit is divided into a plurality of conveyor units. In the passenger conveyor remodeling method for storing and installing the new passenger conveyor in the existing frame by moving it to a predetermined storage position in the existing frame along the longitudinal direction of the existing frame and sequentially assembling, each conveyor unit A roller portion that rotates in contact with the upper surface of the existing frame, and this roller A flange portion provided at an edge of the frame for restricting displacement in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the existing frame, and a tapered portion extending between the flange portion and the roller portion. After attaching the collar-equipped travel roller, the roller unit of the collar-equipped travel roller rolls on the upper surface of the existing frame, thereby sequentially moving the conveyor units to a predetermined storage position in the existing frame. By assembling, the new passenger conveyor is stored and installed in the existing frame.

Further, the present invention is the above invention, wherein the bridging running roller has a pressing force applying means that is pressed in the direction of the existing frame, and the upper surface of the existing frame while being pressed in the direction of the existing frame. It is characterized by rolling.

Further, the present invention is the above invention, wherein a slope member which is removable on the upper surface of the existing frame and has a height dimension larger than a step between the roller portion and the collar portion is attached, and the upper surface of the slope member is attached to the collar. The travel roller is configured to roll.

According to the present invention, a travel roller with a collar that restricts the shift in the left-right direction (the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the existing frame) by the collar on the upper surface of the existing frame without newly installing a guide rail on the existing frame. Thus, each conveyor unit can be safely and easily moved to a predetermined storage position in the existing frame.

Further, according to the present invention, since the tapered running roller is provided with a tapered portion, even if there is a remaining member near the upper surface portion of the existing frame, it is difficult to interfere with it. It can be easily moved to a predetermined storage position in the existing frame.

Hereinafter, the best mode for carrying out a modification of a passenger conveyor according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

A method for remodeling a passenger conveyor according to a first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 1 is a perspective view for explaining a procedure for housing a new conveyor unit in an existing frame in a first embodiment of a passenger conveyor remodeling method according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a passenger conveyor remodeling method according to the present invention. It is a front view of the travel roller with a collar in a 1st embodiment.

First, the existing passenger conveyor is left in a state where only the existing frame 1 made of a truss structure is left, and all other parts are removed. In that case, if the reinforcement member connected for reinforcement is attached to the side surface of the upper chord member 1a of the existing frame 1, the reinforcement member is removed.

Next, the newly installed conveyor unit 3 divided in advance at a production factory or the like is carried into the remodeling site, and at least two pairs of bridging travel rollers 6 are attached to the newly installed conveyor unit 3 with mounting brackets 9 and mounting bolts 6a. Install through.

Here, the travel roller 6 with a collar is displaced in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the existing frame 1 provided on the edge portion of the roller portion 7 and a roller portion 7 rotating in contact with the upper surface of the existing frame 1. To the roller shaft 8 fixed to the mounting bracket 9, the flange portion 7 a for restricting the flange portion, the tapered portion 7 c extending between the flange portion 7 a and the roller portion 7, and the roller portion 7 and the flange portion 7 a It is attached with a gap of the roller movement amount S so as to be rotatable and displaceable in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the existing frame 1.

Next, the installation employer 2 is attached to the upper part of the existing frame 1, and the installation employer 2 and the new conveyor unit 3 are connected by a cord-like body 2a such as a strong chain or rope.

Thereafter, the position is adjusted so that the roller portion 7 of the flanged traveling roller 6 contacts the existing frame upper surface 1a, and the collar portion 7a is guided to regulate the displacement in the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the existing frame 1. The new conveyor unit 3 is lowered.

Similarly, the other newly installed conveyor units 3 are sequentially lowered, and finally the travel roller 6 with the collar is removed, and the newly installed conveyor units 3 are connected to each other to complete the installation.

Although the new conveyor unit 3 is lowered from above in FIG. 1, it may be pulled up from below.

According to the first embodiment configured as described above, the new conveyor unit 3 is attached to the predetermined frame in the existing frame 1 by using the upper surface 1a of the existing frame 1 without attaching guide rails to the upper surface of the existing frame 1. Since it can be moved to the position and assembled sequentially, the modification period can be shortened and the modification cost can be reduced.

Furthermore, since the travel roller 6 with a collar can be moved, even if the distance between the upper surfaces 1a of the existing frame 1 changes, it can follow the existing frame 1 and travel smoothly, so that it can work efficiently.

Furthermore, even when the newly installed conveyor unit 3 is meandering to the left and right, since the collar 7a is provided on the collar-equipped travel roller 6, the amount of movement in the left-right direction (the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the existing frame 1) is limited. Since it can be prevented from falling off, the work can be performed safely.

As described above, the reinforcing member attached to the upper chord member 1a of the existing frame 1 is removed, but the uncuttable remaining member 1b cannot be removed. Therefore, according to the present embodiment, the tapered travel roller 6 is provided with the tapered portion 7c. Therefore, even if there is a remaining member 1b in the vicinity of the upper surface portion 1a of the existing frame, it is difficult to interfere, so that it is possible to prevent the bridging travel roller from being damaged and to move it safely and easily to a predetermined storage position in the existing frame. It becomes possible.

Furthermore, even if the taper portion 7c interferes with the remaining member 1b, the roller portion 7 and the collar portion 7a can be displaced between the solid line and the broken line in FIG. If it is displaced to the position, it is possible to avoid the remaining member 1b, and it is possible to safely and easily move the conveyor unit 3 to a predetermined storage position in the existing frame 1 by preventing the bridging travel roller 6 from being damaged. It becomes possible.

Next, the configuration of the second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 3 is a front view of a flanged traveling roller in a second embodiment of the passenger conveyor remodeling method according to the present invention.

The travel roller 6 with the collar of the second embodiment is configured by providing a pressing force applying means 15 including a roller portion 7 and a spring portion that presses the collar portion 7 a in the direction of the existing frame 1. In the direction, the roller part 7 and the collar part 7a are configured to roll on the upper surface 1a of the existing frame 1 while being pressed.

Therefore, similarly to the above-described travel roller 6 with the collar, even if the taper portion 7c interferes with the remaining member 1b, the remaining member 1b can be avoided if it is displaced within the range of the roller movement amount S. It is possible to safely and easily move the conveyor unit 3 to a predetermined storage position in the existing frame 1.

Further, after avoiding the remaining member 1b, the amount of movement of the conveyor unit 3 in the left-right direction (direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the existing frame 1) is surely limited to be pressed by the spring portion 15 and return to the position before avoidance. Can work safely and efficiently.

The pressing force applying means 15 of the second embodiment is not limited to a spring, and other members such as a hydraulic damper can obtain the same effect as long as the pressing force can be applied.

Next, the configuration of the third embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing an attachment state of the slope portion in the third embodiment of the passenger conveyor remodeling method according to the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a brim travel in the third embodiment of the passenger conveyor remodeling according to the present invention. It is a front view of a roller.

As described in the first embodiment of the present invention, there is an operation of removing the reinforcing member attached to the upper surface 1a of the existing frame 1, but the uncuttable remaining member 1b remains. In this state, the travel roller 6 with the collar that has traveled on the existing frame 1 contacts the remaining member 1b, and therefore has to ride and pass. However, since the conveyor unit 3 is heavy, a considerable force is required to ride on the conveyor unit 3, and the bridging travel roller 6 also requires a considerable strength.

Therefore, in the third embodiment of the present invention, the slope having a height dimension H1 that can be removed from the upper surface 1a of the existing frame 1 in the vicinity of the remaining member 1b and that is larger than the step H2 between the roller portion 6 and the flange portion 7a. The member 10 is mounted via a slope member mounting bolt 11 and a nut 12, and the travel roller 6 with a collar is caused to roll on the slope member 10.

According to the third embodiment configured as described above, when the travel roller 6 with the collar travels on the slope member 10 when passing through the remaining member 1b, it travels smoothly without coming into contact with the upper chord member projecting portion 1b. So you can work efficiently.
