Abstract
【解決手段】実行すべき1つ又は複数の印刷ジョブを記述した印刷ジョブ情報を受け取り、前記1つ又は複数の印刷ジョブを計画及びスケジューリングし、高速マーキングシステム12から出力される印刷済みのページ群を後処理するのに用いられる低速後処理装置14,16の数を求め、 高速マーキングシステム12からページ群が出力されるにつれてそれらページ群を、タンデム構成で配列された少なくとも2つの低速後処理装置14,16へとインターリーブ出力する。

Claims (4)
- 高速マーキングシステムから出力されるページ群を後処理するために低速後処理装置を用いる方法であって、
実行すべき1つ又は複数の印刷ジョブを記述した印刷ジョブ情報を受け取り、
前記1つ又は複数の印刷ジョブを計画及びスケジューリングし、
前記高速マーキングシステムから出力される印刷済みのページ群を後処理するのに用いられる低速後処理装置の数を求め、
前記高速マーキングシステムからページ群が出力されるにつれてそれらページ群を、タンデム構成で配列された少なくとも2つの低速後処理装置へとインターリーブ出力する、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、
前記印刷ジョブ情報は、ジョブ構成情報とユーザ設定情報とを含み、
前記ジョブ構成情報は、印刷対象のジョブの数、各ジョブ内のページセットの数、及び各ページセット内のページの数の情報を含み、
前記ユーザ設定情報は、ページ順序、セット順序、及びジョブ順序に関する情報を含む、
ことを特徴とする方法 - 請求項2記載の方法であって、
(a)ジョブ中の全ページが同じ場合に、奇数ページを第1の後処理装置へ振り分け、偶数ページを第2の後処理装置へ振り分けること、
(b)前記ユーザ設定情報がページ順序を指定していない場合に、奇数ページを第1の後処理装置へ振り分け、偶数ページを第2の後処理装置へ振り分けること、
(c)前記ジョブ構成情報が、全ページセットが同じであることを示している場合に、Nを2以上の整数として、1つのページセットに含まれる各ページを同じ1つの後処理装置に振り分けられるよう、N個のページセットをN台の後処理装置に振り分けること、
(d)前記ユーザ設定情報がページ順序とセット順序を指定している場合に、Nを2以上の整数として、それぞれが1以上のページを含むN個のジョブをN台の後処理装置へと振り分けること、
のうちの少なくとも1つを更に行うことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、
前記高速マーキングシステムは連続給紙マーキングシステムであり、
前記方法は、ページ群が前記連続給紙マーキングシステムから出力されるにつれてそれらページをカットするステップ、を更に含むことを特徴とする方法。
