側方に近接するラジアル方向バンドに配置された複数の砂時計型要素であって、該砂時計型セルの縦軸はプロテーゼの該縦軸に対して斜めに配向される、複数の砂時計型要素を含み、
砂時計型セルのラジアル方向バンド内で、各セルはその上に、ラジアル方向接続要素によってラジアル方向に近接する砂時計型要素と並んで接続され、そして、
ラジアル方向バンドの各砂時計型要素は、側方に近接するラジアル方向バンドの砂時計型要素に接続され、該側方に近接するラジアル方向バンドは、該接続された砂時計型要素の側方軸と整列させられた側方接続要素によって同一の側方軸を共有する、アテローム硬化性病変の治療用の管状内腔内プロテーゼ。 - 前記ラジアル方向接続要素は、前記プロテーゼの縦軸に対して垂直でないように配向される、請求項35に記載のプロテーゼ。
- 前記ラジアル方向接続要素は、少なくとも実質的に線状のバー要素で基本的に構成される、請求項35に記載のプロテーゼ。
- 縦軸を有しており、
側方に近接するラジアル方向バンドに配置された複数の砂時計型要素であって、該砂時計型セルの縦軸は、プロテーゼの該縦軸に対して斜めに配向される、複数の砂時計型要素を含み、
ラジアル方向バンドの各砂時計型要素は、側方に近接するラジアル方向バンドの砂時計型要素に接続され、該側方に近接するラジアル方向バンドは該接続された砂時計型要素の側方軸と整列させられた側方接続要素によって同一の側方軸を共有し、そして、
各砂時計型要素は、そのように接続された該砂時計型要素のそれぞれの側面に取り付けられた正弦波接続要素によって、側方に近接するラジアル方向バンドに非同軸的に整列させられて接続される、アテローム硬化性病変の治療用の管状内腔内プロテーゼ。 - 前記正弦波接続要素はs型である、請求項38に記載のプロテーゼ。
- 前記砂時計型要素のサイドツーサイドの接続は、該接続された砂時計型要素のくびれ部分またはその近傍に配置される、請求項38に記載のプロテーゼ。
- 前記プロテーゼの末端に存在する前記砂時計型要素は、ラジアル方向の末端接続要素によってラジアル方向に近接する砂時計型要素に接続され、該ラジアル方向の末端接続要素は砂時計型要素の外側に面する端を、ラジアル方向に近接する砂時計型要素の側面上の点に接続する、請求項38に記載のプロテーゼ。
- 2つの末端を有しており、
4つの角を有するx型の構造要素と、起伏のある小コネクタ要素とから基本的に構成される、プロテーゼの該末端の間に配置される本体部分を含み、
各x型要素は、該角のそれぞれにおいて、起伏のある小コネクタ要素によって別のx型要素に接続される、アテローム硬化性病変の治療用の管状内腔内プロテーゼ。 - 前記起伏のある小接続要素は、正弦波形状の接続要素を含む、請求項42に記載のプロテーゼ。
- 前記起伏のある小接続要素は、s型の接続要素を含む、請求項42に記載のプロテーゼ。
- 前記起伏のある小接続要素は、z型の接続要素を含む、請求項42に記載のプロテーゼ。
- 前記プロテーゼは、少なくとも一部が金属である、請求項1〜45のいずれか1項に記載のプロテーゼ。
- 前記プロテーゼは、少なくとも一部がポリマである、請求項1〜46のいずれか1項に記載のプロテーゼ。
- 前記プロテーゼは、少なくとも一部がバルーン拡張可能である、請求項1〜47のいずれか1項に記載のプロテーゼ。
- 前記プロテーゼは、3気圧以下の圧力によって展開半径までバルーン拡張可能である、請求項1〜48のいずれか1項に記載のプロテーゼ。
- 前記プロテーゼは、少なくとも一部が自己展開式である、請求項1〜49のいずれか1項に記載のプロテーゼ。
- 請求項1〜50のいずれか1項に従って、患者の血管内の不安定プラークの部位においてプロテーゼを展開するステップを含む、それを必要とする患者において不安定プラークを治療する方法。
- 送達カテーテルを使用して、前記プロテーゼを前記部位に送達するステップをさらに含む、請求項51に記載の方法。
- 前記プロテーゼを展開する前に、前記不安定プラークの前記部位の位置を定めるステップをさらに含む、請求項51に記載の方法。
