本発明は、環境への有害なガスの放出を減少させ、騒音を低下させ、燃料消費を低減させ、且つエンジン性能を改善させて、これら全てを費用効果的に行う効率の良い機器及び方法を提供する。エンジンは、例えば乗用車、トラック、芝刈り機、又は他の車両又は機器等、いかなる燃焼機関形態であってよい。
ボビン6は1個以上の金属、又は排気システムの熱及び圧力に耐え得る他の材料から作られてよく、また2個の金属布を中心部の周囲に巻きつけることにより構成されてよい。
るように円錐形状に形成されているので、ガスは先ず、ダイアフラムを通り流れる。ガス402の幾らかはまた、ダイアフラムを通過し、その結果、ガス402中の粒子は取り除かれ、且つ浄化されたガスは大気中へ出る。最後に、ガスの一部はダイアフラム8の先端を通過し進み、ボビン6の末端に入る。

Claims (30)
- 排出物質低減機器であって、
カーカスと、
ボビンとを含み、
前記ボビンは前記カーカスの先端に固定されると共に、該カーカスの末端は燃焼機関の排気口に固定される
ことを特徴とする機器。 - 円筒体に形成される繊維ブランケットを更に含み、該繊維ブランケットは導電性メッシュに固定されると共に、前記カーカスの内部に位置決めされることを特徴とする請求項1の機器。
- ダイアフラムを更に含み、該ダイアフラムは円錐形に形成され、該円錐形のより大きな開口は末端に位置決めされると共に、該ダイアフラムは前記カーカスの内部に位置決めされることを特徴とする請求項1の機器。
- ダイアフラムを更に含み、該ダイアフラムは円錐形に形成され、該円錐形のより大きな開口は末端に位置決めされると共に、該ダイアフラムは前記円筒体の内部に位置決めされることを特徴とする請求項2の機器。
- 前記カーカスはアルミニウム、鋼、アルミナイズド鋼、又はステンレス鋼から作られることを特徴とする請求項1の機器。
- 前記ボビンは、2個の異なる金属布を中心点の周りに巻きつけることにより構成されることを特徴とする請求項1の機器。
- 前記カーカスは前記排気口に取り外し可能に固定されることを特徴とする請求項1の機器。
- 前記繊維ブランケットは、アラミド、メタ‐アラミド、ポリアミド、ポリフェニレンサルファイド、p−フェニレン‐1,3,4−オキサディアゾール、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、及び玄武岩の中の1個又は複数から作られることを特徴とする請求項2の機器。
- 前記導電性メッシュは前記繊維ブランケットの周囲に位置決めされることを特徴とする請求項2の機器。
- 前記ダイアフラムはアラミド、メタ‐アラミド、ポリアミド、ポリフェニレンサルファイド、p−フェニレン‐1,3,4−オキサディアゾール、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、及び玄武岩の中の1個又は複数から作られることを特徴とする請求項3の機器。
- 前記ダイアフラムは前記カーカスに取り外し可能に固定されることを特徴とする請求項3の機器。
- 前記ボビンは、前記カーカスの先端に固定されるカプセル内に位置決めされることを特徴とする請求項1の機器。
- 前記カプセルは、該カプセルの先端に位置決めされるスクリーンを有することを特徴とする請求項12の機器。
- 排出物質低減方法であって、
カーカスの末端に燃焼機関の排気口を固定させる工程を含み、ボビンが該カーカスの先端に位置決めされる
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記カーカスの内部に円筒体に形成される繊維ブランケットを位置決めさせる工程を更に含み、該繊維ブランケットは導電性メッシュに固定されることを特徴とする請求項14の方法。
- 前記カーカスの内部にダイアフラムを位置決めさせる工程を更に含み、該ダイアフラムは円錐形に形成され、該円錐形のより大きな開口は末端に位置決めされることを特徴とする請求項14の方法。
- 前記円筒体の内部にダイアフラムを位置決めさせる工程を更に含み、該ダイアフラムは円錐形に形成され、該円錐形のより大きな開口は末端に位置決めされることを特徴とする請求項15の方法。
- 前記カーカスはアルミニウム、鋼、アルミナイズド鋼、又はステンレス鋼から作られることを特徴とする請求項14の方法。
- 前記ボビンは、2個の異なる金属布を中心点の周りに巻きつけることにより構成されることを特徴とする請求項14の方法。
- 前記カーカスは前記排気口に取り外し可能に固定されることを特徴とする請求項14の方法。
- 前記繊維ブランケットは、アラミド、メタ‐アラミド、ポリアミド、ポリフェニレンサルファイド、p−フェニレン‐1,3,4−オキサディアゾール、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、及び玄武岩の中の1個又は複数から作られることを特徴とする請求項15の方法。
- 前記導電性メッシュは、前記繊維ブランケットの周囲に位置決めされることを特徴とする請求項15の方法。
- 前記ダイアフラムは、アラミド、メタ‐アラミド、ポリアミド、ポリフェニレンサルファイド、p−フェニレン‐1,3,4−オキサディアゾール、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、及び玄武岩の中の1個又は複数から作られることを特徴とする請求項16の方法。
- 前記ダイアフラムは前記カーカスに取り外し可能に固定されることを特徴とする請求項16の方法。
- 前記ボビンは、前記カーカスの先端に固定されるカプセル内に位置決めされることを特徴とする請求項16の方法。
- 前記カプセルは、該カプセルの先端に位置決めされるスクリーンを有することを特徴とする請求項25の方法。
- 排出物質低減方法であって、
カーカスの末端を燃焼機関の排気口に固定する手段を含み、ボビンは該カーカスの先端に位置決めされることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記カーカスの内部に円筒体に形成される繊維ブランケットを位置決めする手段と、導電性メッシュを該繊維ブランケットに固定する手段を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項27の方法。
- 前記カーカスの内部にダイアフラムを位置決めする手段を更に含み、該ダイアフラムは円錐形に形成され、該円錐形のより大きな開口が末端に位置決めされることを特徴とする請求項27の方法。
