拘束する装備(例、トレッドミルやフォースプレート)を使用することなく計装を実現するため、動物の実生活の状況を示す情報が得られる。例えば、馬の生理的状況や身体的能力に関する情報がストレスの少ない状況において、馬の競技イベントにおいて、更に診断のような診療行為において得られる。
システムは自動設定を含んでもよく、センサのネットワークはセンサ自体とセンサが果たす役割とを識別する。システムはセンサの配向を補正するための自動較正機能、及び利得、速度、ずれ、ドリフトの変化を補正するための自動較正機能を含んでもよい。これらの自動較正機能は1つのセンサユニットからの計測に基づくものであっても多くのセンサユニットからの結果に基づくものであっても、或いは多くの試験と多くの動物からの結果に基づくものであってもよい。
上述したように、システムのこれに代わるバージョンが馬以外の様々な動物に適用可能である。技術の中には特に四肢動物の歩様の分析に関するものもあるが、通常この方法に限定されるものではない。実際に、システムのアプリケーションの中にはヒトの監視に適用可能なものもあり、例えば、競技イベント中の監視に適用可能である。
Claims (25)
- 動物の四肢やその他の部分と関連づけられた、運動に関するパラメータを計測するセンサを含む多数のセンサを動物に取り付ける工程と、
センサからセンサのデータを受信する工程と、
動物の運動の特徴をデータに基づいて識別する工程を含む、センサから受信したデータを処理する工程と、
動物の図に関連づけした形式によりユーザに特徴をグラフィックにより表示する工程とを含むことを特徴とする動物の運動の特徴を監視する方法。 - 前記グラフィックにより表示を行う工程は、関節部図、棒によるモデル、及び動物の少なくとも一部のレンダリングのうちの少なくとも1つを表示する工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 表及びグラフの態様のうちの少なくともいずれか1つにより特徴と関係する定量的情報を表示する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記グラフィックにより表示を行う工程は動物の身体的状態を決定するための情報を表示する工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記身体的状態は負傷、調整の度合い、及びリハビリテーションの度合いのうちの少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 次に続く動物の身体的状態を診断する工程と関連してユーザからの入力を受け付ける工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ユーザからの入力を受け付ける工程はデシジョンツリー法及び鑑別診断法のうちの少なくとも1つと関係する入力を受け付ける工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。
- 使用可能なセンサ、センサの位置、及び監視用アプリケーションのうちの少なくとも1つに従って処理システムを自動的に設定する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記システムを自動的に設定する工程はデータを処理するアルゴリズムを選択する工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記システムを自動的に設定する工程はグラフィック表示のフォーマットを選択する工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- センサの利得、レート、揺れ、ドリフト、及びずれのうちの少なくとも1つに関する因子を補正すべく処理システムを自動的に較正する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記運動の特徴を識別する工程は動物の歩様の質を識別する工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記歩様の質は歩様の身体的パラメータを含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記歩様の質は動物の歩様に表れる跛行を含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記受信したセンサのデータを処理する工程は受信した信号に基づき負傷の状態を識別する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記負傷の状況は実際の負傷及び負傷の兆候のうちの少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記センサは、慣性の位置、運動、回転や加速度用のセンサ、ひずみ、力や圧力用のセンサ、筋肉、神経や結合組織の活動用のセンサ、呼吸数用のセンサ、心臓用のセンサ、血液酸素レベル、血圧や血糖用のセンサ、温度センサ、及びオーディオやビデオ用のセンサから構成される一群から選択されるセンサを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 動物の通常の活動におけるセンサのデータを収集する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記通常の活動におけるデータを収集する工程は競技イベントにおけるデータを収集する工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記受信したセンサのデータを処理する工程は通常の活動中に実施されることを特徴とする請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記受信したセンサのデータを処理する工程はリアルタイムモードによりデータを処理する工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記受信したセンサのデータを処理する工程はバッチモードによりデータを処理する工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記動物に1つ以上のセンサを取り付ける工程は取り外し可能に該センサを取り付ける工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1本の肢、或いは動物に関連づけられる身体的パラメータを計測する少なくとも1つのセンサを含む、動物に取り付けられるセンササブシステムと、
センササブシステムによって提供されたデータを処理及び表示する演算サブシステムと、
センササブシステムから演算サブシステムにセンサのデータを渡すために該センササブシステム及び演算サブシステムを接続する通信サブシステムと、
動物の図に関連づけした形式によりユーザに特徴をグラフィックにより表示する、演算サブシステムに接続された表示サブシステムとを備えることを特徴とする動物を監視するためのシステム。 - 動物に取り付けられたセンサからのデータを受信する受信機と受信したセンサのデータに基づくデータを送信する送信機とを含む、動物に取り付けられる通信ハブと、
それぞれがセンサのデータをハブに提供する送信機を含む、複数のセンサと、
使用可能なセンサとセンサの位置と監視アプリケーションのうちの少なくとも1つに従ってシステムを自動的に設定する較正サブシステムとを備えることを特徴とする動物を監視するためのシステム。
