Claims (14)
- トナーの製造方法であって、
a)一次樹脂粒子および界面活性剤を含むラテックス分散物を供給する工程;
b)一次着色料粒子および界面活性剤を含む着色料分散物を供給する工程;
c)必要に応じて、一次ワックス粒子および界面活性剤を含むワックス分散物を供給する工程;
d)少なくとも1種類の式(1)のカルボキシ官能化合物:
を供給する工程であって、前記化合物は酸、塩及び/又は錯体の形であってよく、ただし、酸の形及び/又は塩の形で供給される式(1)のカルボキシ官能化合物の量は少なくとも1.5重量%であり、前記カルボキシ官能化合物の量は以下の式
e)ラテックス分散物、着色料分散物、任意成分としてのワックス分散物、及び前記カルボキシ官能化合物を混合する工程;及び
f)混合物中の粒子を会合させる工程:
を含む前記方法。 - AがOHである、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 酸、塩および/または錯体の形であってよいカルボキシ官能化合物が、サリチル酸、置換サリチル酸、ヒドロキシナフトエ酸、置換ヒドロキシナフトエ酸よりなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 工程(d)において、2種類以上の式(1)のカルボキシ官能化合物からなる混合物が供給される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 酸の形及び/又は塩の形で供給される式(1)のカルボキシ官能化合物の量が少なくとも2.0重量%である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 酸の形及び/又は塩の形で供給される式(1)のカルボキシ官能化合物の量が3.0重量%を上回る、請求項6に記載の方法。
- カルボキシ官能化合物の一部が錯体の形で少なくとも1重量%の量で供給される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 供給されるカルボキシ官能化合物の量が7重量%以下である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- カルボキシ官能化合物の量が5重量%以下である、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 工程(f)において、pH調整により混合物の会合が生じる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 工程(f)における会合の後、樹脂のTgを上回る温度まで昇温させ、粒子の融合を引き起こすことを含む更なる工程(h)を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- トナーの体積平均粒径が2〜20μmの範囲内であり、GSDn値が1.30以下である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法によって入手できるトナー。
