Abstract
【解決手段】本発明は表示装置およびその駆動方法に関するものである。本発明は複数の選択信号各々を複数の走査線各々に伝達する走査駆動部と、複数のデータ信号各々を複数のデータ線各々に伝達するデータ駆動部と、走査駆動部およびデータ駆動部の動作を制御する信号制御部を含み、 走査駆動部およびデータ駆動部各々はリセット信号に応じて起動され、信号制御部はリセット信号を感知し、走査駆動部およびデータ駆動部各々に電源が印加されるオン時点によりリセット信号の正常か否かを判断し、リセット信号が非正常である場合にリセット信号を復旧する。走査駆動部およびデータ駆動部は、オン時点以降に、リセット信号が第1レベルから第2レベルに変更されると起動される。

Claims (14)
- 複数の各選択信号を複数の各走査線に伝達する走査駆動部と、
複数の各データ信号を複数の各データ線に伝達するデータ駆動部と、
前記走査駆動部およびデータ駆動部の動作を制御する信号制御部と、
を具備し、
前記走査駆動部およびデータ駆動部は各々リセット信号に応じて起動され、前記信号制御部は前記リセット信号を感知し、前記走査駆動部およびデータ駆動部各々に電源が印加されるオン時点に同期して感知されたリセット信号を利用して前記リセット信号の正常か否かを判断し、前記リセット信号が非正常である場合に前記リセット信号を復旧することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記走査駆動部および前記データ駆動部は、
前記オン時点以降に、前記リセット信号が第1レベルから第2レベルに変更されると、起動することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記信号制御部は、
前記感知されたリセット信号が前記オン時点に第1レベルであって、前記オン時点以降にレベル変化がなければ、前記リセット信号を正常でないと判断し、前記オン時点から所定期間後に前記リセット信号を第2レベルに変化させて、前記リセット信号を復旧することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記信号制御部は、
前記感知されたリセット信号が前記オン時点に第2レベルであれば前記リセット信号を非正常と判断し、前記オン時点から所定期間後に前記リセット信号を第1レベルに変化させた後、再び第2レベルに変化させて、前記リセット信号を復旧することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記信号制御部は、
前記感知されたリセット信号が前記オン時点において前記第1レベルから第2レベルに変化すると、前記リセット信号を非正常であると判断し、前記オン時点から所定期間後に前記リセット信号を第1レベルに変化させた後に、再び第2レベルに変化させ、前記リセット信号を復旧することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1レベルはローレベルであり、前記第2レベルはハイレベルであることを特徴とする、請求項2ないし請求項5のうちいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。
- 行列に配列されており、スイッチングトランジスタと駆動トランジスタを各々含む複数の画素と、
前記駆動トランジスタに駆動電圧を伝達する駆動電圧線と、
前記駆動電圧線に駆動電圧を印加する電圧生成部と、
階調電圧を生成する階調電圧生成部と、
をさらに具備し、
前記データ駆動部は、
前記階調電圧に基づいて、入力映像信号をデータ電圧に変換させて前記データ線に印加することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記複数の各画素は、
前記駆動トランジスタの出力端子および入力端子に接続されているキャパシタをさらに具備し、
前記スイッチングトランジスタの制御端子には前記選択信号が入力され、前記スイッチングトランジスタの出力端子は前記駆動トランジスタの制御端子に接続され、前記スイッチングトランジスタの入力端子は前記データ線に接続されていて、前記駆動トランジスタの出力端子には発光素子が接続されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の表示装置。 - 前記発光素子は有機発光素子であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の表示装置。
- 電源印加後、リセット信号に応じて起動される駆動部を具備する表示装置の駆動方法において、
前記リセット信号を感知する段階と、
前記電源印加時点に同期して感知されたリセット信号を用いて前記リセット信号の正常か否かを判断する段階と、
前記リセット信号が非正常である場合、前記リセット信号を復旧する段階と、
を具備することを特徴とする表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記リセット信号の正常か否かを判断する段階は、
前記電源印加後、前記感知されたリセット信号が第1レベルから第2レベルに変更すると、前記リセット信号を正常として判断する段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記リセット信号の正常か否かを判断する段階は、
前記感知されたリセット信号が前記電源印加時点で第1レベルであって、前記電源印加時点以降にレベル変化がなければ、前記リセット信号を非正常であると判断する段階を含み、
前記リセット信号を復旧する段階は、
前記電源印加時点から所定期間後に、前記リセット信号を第2レベルに変更させる段階を具備することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記リセット信号の正常か否かを判断する段階は、
前記感知されたリセット信号が前記電源印加時点で第2レベルであれば、前記リセット信号を非正常であると判断する段階を具備し、
前記リセット信号を復旧する段階は、
前記電源印加時点から所定期間後に前記リセット信号を第1レベルに変化させた後、再び前記第2レベルに変化させる段階を具備することを特徴とする請求項11に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記リセット信号の正常か否かを判断する段階は、
前記感知されたリセット信号が前記電源印加時点で前記第1レベルから前記第2レベルに変化すれば、前記リセット信号を非正常であると判断する段階を具備し、
前記リセット信号を復旧する段階は、
前記電源印加時点から所定期間後に前記リセット信号を第1レベルに変化させた後、再び前記第2レベルに変化させる段階を含むことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
