Abstract

Description
従って、現在、誘電体層に有する欠陥数が少ない電解コンデンサアノードに対する必要性が存在する。
本発明の別の実施形態により、タンタル、ニオブ、又はこれらの導電性酸化物を含有する焼結された圧縮アノードペレットを含む固体電解コンデンサを開示する。ペレットは、有機酸でエッチングされた表面を有する。コンデンサは、エッチングされたペレット表面の上に重なる誘電体層及び誘電体層の上に重なる固体電解質層を更に含む。
本発明の他の特徴及び態様を以下でより詳細に説明する。

一般的に、本発明は、誘電体層を生成するためにアノードの陽極酸化の前に有機酸でエッチングされた電解コンデンサアノードに関する。理論によって制限されることは意図しないが、有機酸は、アノード上のあらゆる酸化物の少なくとも一部分をエッチング除去することができると考えられる。これは、誘電体の生成のための比較的均一な表面を提供し、それは、次に、実質的に均一な厚み及び均質なアモルファス構造を有する誘電体層をもたらし、従って、漏れ電流及び安定性が改善される。有機酸はまた、アノードの表面からのあらゆる金属不純物の除去のような他の残りの恩典も有することができる。

VA特性
コンデンサのVA特性は、100mohmの直列抵抗を用いて測定された。印加電圧は、0.1Vの増分でバイポーラ電源(Keithley 2400)によって段階的に高められ、電流は、デジタルマルチメータ(Agilent 34401)により、10秒遅延の後25℃の温度で測定された。
リフロー/圧力釜/リフロー安定性
高温での電流安定性を試験するために、アノードは、リフロー温度プロフィール(最高180℃での予熱、250℃〜255℃のピーク値、及び3.75〜4.25℃/秒のリフロー勾配)に従ってリフローオーブン「Heller」を用いて圧力釜内(120℃、100%湿度)で加熱された。より具体的には、アノードは、最初にリフロープロフィールに従って加熱され、次に、圧力釜内で2時間加熱され、最後にリフロープロフィールに従って再度加熱された。漏れ電流は、電源「Hewlett Packard HP6634A」及び英国「Mantrcourt Electronics LTD」で製造された「MC 157」漏出試験セットを使用して、全体の手順の前後に周辺温度25℃で20秒後に測定された。

Claims (26)
- 電解コンデンサのアノードを形成する方法であって、
弁金属組成物を含有する粉末を圧縮ペレットに圧縮成形する段階と、
前記圧縮ペレットを焼結させてアノード本体を形成する段階と、
前記アノード本体を有機酸でエッチングする段階と、
その後、前記エッチングされたアノード本体を電解質の存在下で陽極酸化処理し、誘電体層を形成する段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記酸は、25℃の温度で0から約11の範囲の第1の酸解離定数を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記酸は、25℃の温度で約2から約10の範囲の第1の酸解離定数を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記酸は、多塩基酸であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記多塩基酸は、カルボン酸であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記酸は、ピロガロール、ピロカテコール、又はこれらの組合せであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記有機酸は、エッチング溶液内に含有されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記エッチング溶液は、約2から約12のpHを有することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 有機酸が、前記エッチング溶液の約0.1重量%から約20重量%を構成することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 有機酸が、前記エッチング溶液の約0.5重量%から約10重量%を構成することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記エッチング溶液は、約20℃から約75℃の温度を有することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記アノード本体は、前記エッチング溶液内に浸漬されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記アノード本体は、前記電解質内に浸漬されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記弁金属組成物は、タンタル、ニオブ、又はこれらの導電性酸化物を含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記弁金属組成物は、1:1.0±0.3のニオブ対酸素の原子比率を有するニオブの酸化物を含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記弁金属組成物は、1:1.0±0.1のニオブ対酸素の原子比率を有するニオブの酸化物を含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法に従って形成されたコンデンサアノード。
- 請求項17に記載のコンデンサアノードを含む固体電解コンデンサであって、
誘電体層の上に重なる固体電解質層、
を更に含むことを特徴とするコンデンサ。 - 有機酸でエッチングされた表面を有し、タンタル、ニオブ、又はこれらの導電性酸化物を含有する焼結圧縮アノードペレットと、
前記アノードペレットの前記エッチングされた表面の上に重なる誘電体層と、
前記誘電体層の上に重なる固体電解質層と、
を含むことを特徴とする固体電解コンデンサ。 - 前記アノード本体は、1:1.0±0.3のニオブ対酸素の原子比率を有するニオブの酸化物を含有することを特徴とする請求項19に記載の固体電解コンデンサ。
- 前記アノード本体は、1:1.0±0.1のニオブ対酸素の原子比率を有するニオブの酸化物を含有することを特徴とする請求項19に記載の固体電解コンデンサ。
- 前記電解質層の上に重なり、カーボン層、銀層、又はこれらの組合せを含む少なくとも付加的な層を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項19に記載の固体電解コンデンサ。
- 前記アノード本体から延びるアノードリードを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項19に記載の固体電解コンデンサ。
- 前記電解質層と電気的に連通するカソード端子と、
前記アノード本体と電気的に連通するアノード端子と、
コンデンサを封入し、前記アノード及びカソード端子の少なくとも一部分を露出させておくケースと、
を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項23に記載の固体電解コンデンサ。 - 前記固体電解質層は、導電性ポリマーを含有することを特徴とする請求項19に記載の固体電解コンデンサ。
- 前記固体電解質層は、二酸化マンガンを含有することを特徴とする請求項19に記載の固体電解コンデンサ。
