Abstract
【解決手段】繊維径の異なる繊維が交絡する領域を有する通気性支持材1と、多孔質ポリテトラフルオロエチレン膜2とが積層されたエアフィルターであって、通気性支持材1において多孔質ポリテトラフルオロエチレン膜2が積層された側の表面の平均繊維径は、通気性支持材1の裏面の平均繊維径よりも小さいエアフィルターを構成する。

Description
この対策として特許文献1には、PTFE多孔質膜と補強材である通気性基材とを含み、PTFE多孔質膜と通気性基材との間に、通気性基材よりも平滑な通気性保護層を介在させ、この剥離を抑える技術が記載されている。すなわち、特許文献1に記載された発明では、PTFE多孔質膜と通気性基材の接点を増やすことにより、PTFE多孔質膜と通気性支持材を強固に結合させるものであり、また、強度の弱いPTFE多孔質膜を確実に保護することができ、耐久性も向上するものである。
繊維径の異なる繊維が交絡する領域を有する通気性支持材と、多孔質ポリテトラフルオロエチレン膜とが積層されたエアフィルターであって、前記通気性支持材において前記多孔質ポリテトラフルオロエチレン膜が積層された側の表面の平均繊維径は、前記通気性支持材の裏面の平均繊維径よりも小さいものである。
前記通気性支持材が、繊維径の異なる繊維が水流または気流により交絡された領域を有することが好ましい。
図1は、本実施の形態におけるエアフィルターの断面を示すものである。図1において、通気性支持材1上に多孔質ポリテトラフルオロエチレンで構成されるePTFE膜2が積層されている。
以下、上記のようなエアフィルターの製造例について説明する。
通気性支持材1は、繊維径の異なる繊維が交絡する領域を有するものであるが、このような通気性支持材1は、繊維径の異なる2枚のウエブ状態の繊維シートを重ね合わせ、互いの繊維を交絡させることにより製造することができる。従って、まず、ウエブ状態の繊維シートを製造する方法について説明する。
以上の工程により、通気性支持材1が完成し、巻取りロール17により巻き取られる。
また、カレンダー部16により繊維シート6aの繊維と繊維シート6bの繊維とを熱プレスする方法について説明したが、その他にも、バインダ樹脂を含む液を含浸させ乾燥させる工程を必要に応じて追加することにより、繊維同士をより強固に固定することができる。
繊維シート6aの原料にdtex値が2.2の繊維を使用し、繊維シート6bの原料にdtex値が16の繊維を使用して、目付け100g/m2の通気性支持材1を作製した。使用した繊維は、芯鞘構造を持ったポリエステル繊維(ユニチカファイバー社製:メルティー)である。dtex値が小さければ平均繊維径も小さくなる。
繊維シート6aの原料にdtex値が4.4の繊維を使用し、繊維シート6bの原料にdtex値が16の繊維を使用して、目付け100g/m2の通気性支持材1を作製した。使用した繊維は、芯鞘構造を持ったポリエステル繊維(ユニチカファイバー社製:メルティー)である。
ポリエステル繊維を用いたサーマルボンド不織布(倉敷繊維加工社製、TKC95)に着色、撥水、抗菌、防カビ処理を実施し、芯鞘構造を持ったPE/PET(ポリエチレン/ポリエチレンテレフタレート)のスパンボンド積層不織布(ユニチカ社製、エルベス(30g/m2))と熱融着により張り合わせることにより2層構造の不織布を作製した。
ユニチカ製エルベス(目付け:30g/m2)に着色、撥水、抗菌、防カビ処理を実施し、これに倉敷繊維加工製TKC95を熱融着により張り合わせて2層構造の不織布を作製した。
実施例1で使用した繊維シート6b(太い繊維で構成したもの)を熱ロールに通して形成した不織布に、実施例1で使用したePTFE膜2を熱と圧力により融着させることによりエアフィルター試料を作製した。ePTFE膜2と不織布の剥離試験では、剥離テープ端部より先でさらに10mm以上ePTFE膜のみ剥離し続け、ePTFE膜2の接着が十分ではないことが確認された。

Claims (6)
- 繊維径の異なる繊維が交絡する領域を有する通気性支持材と、多孔質ポリテトラフルオロエチレン膜とが積層されたエアフィルターであって、前記通気性支持材において前記多孔質ポリテトラフルオロエチレン膜が積層された側の表面の平均繊維径は、前記通気性支持材の裏面の平均繊維径よりも小さいことを特徴とするエアフィルター。
- 前記通気性支持材において、繊維が交絡する領域の平均繊維径が、前記多孔質ポリテトラフルオロエチレン膜側に向かって減少する請求項1に記載のエアフィルター。
- 前記通気性支持材において、前記多孔質ポリテトラフルオロエチレン膜が積層された側の表面における平均繊維径が、前記通気性支持材の裏面における平均繊維径の0.8倍以下である請求項1又は2に記載のエアフィルター。
- 前記通気性支持材が熱可塑性樹脂により構成される請求項1〜請求項3のいずれかに記載のエアフィルター。
- 前記通気性支持材が、繊維径の異なる繊維が水流または気流により交絡された領域を有する請求項1〜請求項4のいずれかに記載のエアフィルター。
- 請求項1〜請求項5のいずれかに記載のエアフィルターを用いた掃除機用エアフィルター。
