前記封止基板の前記突堤で囲まれる凹面の前記表示領域と重なることのない領域に吸湿剤が形成され、
前記吸湿剤は、隣接する他の吸湿剤と接続されて平行配置される複数の線状パターンの集合からなる吸湿剤を含み、その長手方向と交差する方向の断面形状は互いに連続された複数連の山形となっている。

前記素子基板と対向する周縁に形成される突堤においてシール材を介して前記素子基板に固着される封止基板とを備え、
前記封止基板の前記突堤で囲まれる凹面の前記表示領域と重なることのない領域に吸湿剤が形成され、
前記吸湿剤は、隣接する他の吸湿剤と接続されて平行配置される複数の線状パターンの集合からなる吸湿剤を含み、その長手方向と交差する方向の断面形状は互いに連続された複数連の山形となっていることを特徴とする。
隣接する他の吸湿剤と接続されて平行配置される複数の線状パターンの集合からなる吸湿剤は、前記駆動回路の少なくとも一部に重ねられて形成されていることを特徴とする。
図2は、本発明による有機EL表示装置の一実施例を示し、たとえばトップエミッション構造と称される有機EL表示装置の構成を示している。
図4は、本発明による有機EL表示装置の一実施例を示し、図2(a)に対応した図となっている。

Claims (6)
- 複数の発光素子を配列してなる表示領域を有する矩形の素子基板と、
前記素子基板と対向する周縁に形成される突堤においてシール材を介して前記素子基板に固着される封止基板とを備え、
前記封止基板の前記突堤で囲まれる凹面の前記表示領域と重なることのない領域に吸湿剤が形成され、
前記吸湿剤は、隣接する他の吸湿剤と接続されて平行配置される複数の線状パターンの集合からなる吸湿剤を含み、その長手方向と交差する方向の断面形状は互いに連続された複数連の山形となっていることを特徴とする有機エレクトロルミネッセンス表示装置。 - 隣接する他の吸湿剤と接続されて平行配置される複数の線状パターンの集合からなる吸湿剤は、一方向へ延在した吸湿剤の延在部が前記一方向と反対側の方向へ方向変換して延在することによって形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス表示装置。
- 前記素子基板に前記表示領域と隣接して各発光素子を駆動させる駆動回路が形成され、
隣接する他の吸湿剤と接続されて平行配置される複数の線状パターンの集合からなる吸湿剤は、前記駆動回路の少なくとも一部に重ねられて形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス表示装置。 - 前記表示領域と駆動回路を囲んで形成される吸湿剤を備えることを特徴する請求項1に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス表示装置。
- 隣接する他の吸湿剤と接続されて平行配置される複数の線状パターンの集合からなる吸湿剤は、その一つが表示領域を囲んで形成される環状の吸湿剤であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス表示装置。
- 表示領域を囲んで形成される環状の吸湿剤以外の他の吸湿剤は、その内側に前記環状の吸湿剤のコーナ部を除いて配置される吸湿剤であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス表示装置。
