【解決手段】 繊維基質、結合材、有機充填材及び向き重点材を含む摩擦材組成物において、前記繊維基質として平均繊維長の異なる少なくとも2種類以上の鉱物繊維を含有し、該鉱物繊維各々の平均繊維長の最小のものと最大のものの差が50μm以上である摩擦材組成物とする。また、前記摩擦材組成物を加熱加圧成形してなる摩擦材並びに前記摩擦材組成物を加熱加圧成形して得られる下張り材を摩擦面と裏金の間に介在させた摩擦材とする。

Description
(ディスクブレーキパッドの作製)
表1及び表2の配合比率に従って材料を配合し、摩擦材組成物を得た。これらの摩擦材組成物をレディーゲミキサー((株)マツボー製、商品名:レディーゲミキサーM20)で混合し、この混合物を成形プレス(王子機械工業(株)製)で予備成形し、得られた予備成形物を成形温度145℃、成形圧力30MPaの条件で6分間成形プレス(三起精工(株)製)を用いて加熱加圧成形し、得られた成形品を200℃で4.5時間熱処理し、ロータリー研磨機を用いて研磨し、500℃のスコーチ処理を行って各々のディスクブレーキパッドを得た。なお、本実施例では、摩擦材投影面積51.7cm2のディスクブレーキパッドを作製した。
鉱物繊維B:RB215 Roxul 1000(Lapinus Fibres社製) 平均繊維長150μm
鉱物繊維C:RB220 Roxul 1000(Lapinus Fibres社製) 平均繊維長230μm
鉱物繊維D:RB240 Roxul 1000(Lapinus Fibres社製) 平均繊維長300μm
鉱物繊維E:RB280 Roxul 1000(Lapinus Fibres社製) 平均繊維長650μm
(接着強度の測定)
次に作製した実施例1〜8及び比較例1〜5のディスクブレーキパッドを、JIS D4422の接着強度試験方法に従って、接着強度、すなわち破壊荷重を評価した。その結果を合わせて、表1及び表2に示す。また接着強度と平均繊維長との関係を図1に示す。
ダイナモ試験機でJASO C406(乗用車用ブレーキ装置ダイナモメータ試験方法)に準じて試験を行い、評価した。ロータ及びパッド摩耗量は上記JASO C406試験前後のディスクロータおよびブレーキパッドの厚みの差からそれぞれの摩耗量を測定した。結果を表1及び表2に示す。
表1及び表2並びに図1に示されるように、本発明の摩擦材組成物を用いたディスクブレーキパッドは、従来品と同量の鉱物繊維配合量で、被着体に対して接着強度の高い摩擦材が得られることが明らかである。
Claims (8)
- 繊維基質、結合材、有機充填材及び無機充填材を含む摩擦材組成物において、
前記繊維基質として、平均繊維長の異なる少なくとも2種類以上の鉱物繊維を含有し、該鉱物繊維各々の平均繊維長の最小のものと最大のものの差が50μm以上である摩擦材組成物。 - 前記鉱物繊維は、Al元素を含む請求項1に記載の摩擦材組成物。
- 前記鉱物繊維は、全体の平均繊維長が500μm以下である請求項1又は2に記載の摩擦材組成物。
- 前記鉱物繊維が、生体溶解性の鉱物繊維である請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の摩擦材組成物。
- 前記鉱物繊維は、摩擦材組成物全体に対して5〜25質量%である請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の摩擦材組成物。
- 前記繊維基質は、鉱物繊維以外に非鉄金属繊維を5質量%以上及び/又はフィブリル化有機繊維を1質量%以上含有してなる請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の摩擦材組成物。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の摩擦材組成物を成形してなる摩擦材。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の摩擦材組成物を成形して得られる下張り材を、摩擦面となる摩擦部材と裏金との間に介在させた摩擦材。
