各試料について、400グラムのSouthard PST漆喰を計り取った。本発明によって規定されるクラスの範囲外の分散剤を、流動性及び遅延性について試験した。水を加える前に、表Iに示す量のMELFLUX 1641F分散剤及びCSA促進剤を漆喰に加え、一緒に回転ドラムに掛けて混合した。この漆喰混合物に、表Iに示す量の水を加えた。この組成物を、上記の指示に従って混合した。各用量について、パテサイズ及びビカー硬化時間の試験を実施した。結果を表Iに示す。
上記実施例1と同様の方法を用いて、本発明の3種の分散剤を試験した。MELFLUX 2500L分散剤に関する結果を含めて、結果を表IIに示す。
以下の表IIIは、本発明の3種の繰返し単位の分散剤を用いて、又はこの分散剤なしで形成される石膏ウォールボードパネルの配合を示す。分散剤ありの場合及び分散剤なしの場合の1/2”ボードの配合が示されている。特に断らない限り、成分の量は、ボード製品1000平方フィート(“MSF”)当たりのポンドで記載されている。1平方メートル当たりのグラムで表したメートル法換算値は、英国単位の横の括弧内に報告している。
ポリカルボキシレートの効果は、用いる漆喰によって変動する。表IVは、様々な石膏供給源からの石膏スラリーと本発明のポリカルボキシレートとの反応を示す。MELFLUX 2500Lを種々の石膏とともに用いることによって、パテ試験で測定される所与の流動性を有するスラリーを作製するのに必要なWSRを決定した。
Claims (17)
- 水と、
少なくとも50%の硫酸カルシウム半水和物を含む水硬性材料と、
20000〜80000ダルトンの範囲の分子量を有し、ビニルエーテル型繰返し単位、アクリル酸型繰返し単位及びマレイン酸型繰返し単位を含むポリカルボキシレート分散剤と、
を含む石膏スラリー。 - 前記水硬性材料が、少なくとも80重量%の硫酸カルシウム半水和物を含む、請求項1に記載のスラリー。
- 前記水硬性材料が本質的に硫酸カルシウム半水和物からなる、請求項1に記載のスラリー。
- 前記スラリーが湿式石膏促進剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のスラリー。
- 前記繰返し単位がランダムな順序で一緒に結合して、前記ポリカルボキシレート分散剤を形成している、請求項1に記載のスラリー。
- 前記ポリカルボキシレート分散剤の電荷密度が、300〜3000μeq/gコポリマーの範囲にある、請求項1に記載のスラリー。
- 前記電荷密度が、600〜2000μeq/gコポリマーの範囲にある、請求項6に記載のスラリー。
- 前記スラリーがナフタレン分散剤を含まない、請求項1に記載のスラリー。
- 前記分子量が、好ましくは30000〜50000ダルトンの範囲にある、請求項1に記載のスラリー。
- 少なくとも一片の表装材が石膏コアに付着したウォールボードパネルであって、
前記コアが、
水と、
少なくとも50%の硫酸カルシウム半水和物を含む水硬性材料と、
ビニルエーテル型繰返し単位、アクリル酸型繰返し単位及びマレイン酸型繰返し単位を含むポリカルボキシレート分散剤と、
を含むスラリーから作製されているウォールボードパネル。 - 前記水硬性材料が、少なくとも80%の硫酸カルシウム半水和物を含む、請求項10に記載のウォールボード。
- 前記水硬性材料が本質的に硫酸カルシウム半水和物からなる、請求項11に記載のウォールボード。
- 前記ポリカルボキシレート分散剤の電荷密度が、300〜3000μeq/gコポリマーの範囲にある、請求項10に記載のウォールボード。
- 前記スラリーがナフタレン分散剤を含まない、請求項10に記載のウォールボード。
- 前記コアがトリメタホスフェート化合物をさらに含む、請求項10に記載のウォールボード。
- 石灰、コンクリート、シリケート、ホスフェート、ホスホネート及びカーボネートからなる群のうちの少なくとも1種を含む調整剤をさらに含む、請求項11に記載のウォールボード。
- 前記調整剤が、ソーダ灰、炭酸カリウム、石灰及びセメントからなる群のうちの少なくとも1種を含む、請求項16に記載のウォールボード。
