Abstract
Description

Claims (15)
- ディジタル・ネットワークに接続するための加入者宅内機器(CPE)デバイスであって、
クローズド・キャプション(CC)情報が求められる1つ以上のチャンネルを特定するユーザ入力を受信するユーザ入力装置と、
前記ユーザ入力によって特定された1つ以上のチャンネルのための前記CC情報を受信する復号器と、
を含む、前記CPEデバイス。 - 前記CC情報が、現在表示されているチャンネル以外のチャンネルを含む、通常のチャンネルのためのものである、請求項1記載のCPEデバイス。
- 前記復号器は、表示のために前記CC情報を通常のチャンネル情報およびPIPチャンネル情報のいずれか一方と組み合わせる、請求項1記載のCPEデバイス。
- 前記CPEデバイスによって送信された信号に応答して前記復号器によって前記CC情報が受信される、請求項1に記載のCPEデバイス。
- 前記CC情報が複数の言語で復号化される、請求項1記載のCPEデバイス。
- 前記ディジタル・ネットワークがディジタル加入者線(DSL)ネットワークである、請求項1に記載のCPEデバイス。
- ディジタル加入者線(DSL)ネットワークに接続するためのディジタル加入者線アクセス・マルチプレクサ(DSLAM)であって、
複数の加入者宅内機器(CPE)デバイスに結合され、前記CPEデバイスから受信されたユーザ入力に応答して、前記複数のCPEデバイスにそれぞれ送信される複数のメディア・コンテンツのための複数のクローズド・キャプション(CC)信号のうちの少なくとも1つを選択する選択マルチプレクサを含む、前記DSLAM。 - 複数のチャンネルのためのCC情報を発生させるCC情報発生器をさらに含む、請求項7に記載のDSLAM。
- 前記選択マルチプレクサは、送信前に、前記CC情報をビデオ・データに組み合わせる、請求項7に記載のDSLAM。
- ディジタル・ネットワークに接続するための加入者宅内機器(CPE)デバイスにおけるクローズド・キャプション(CC)情報を受信する方法であって、
前記CPEデバイスから、前記ディジタル・ネットワーク内の別のデバイスに、クローズド・キャプション(CC)情報が求められる1つ以上のチャンネルを特定するユーザ入力を送信するステップと、
前記ユーザ入力によって特定される1つ以上のチャンネルのためのCC情報を受信するステップと、
を含む、前記方法。 - 前記CC情報が、現在表示されているチャンネル以外のチャンネルを含む、通常のチャンネルのためのものである、請求項10記載の方法。
- 表示のために前記CC情報を通常のチャンネル情報およびPIPチャンネル情報のいずれか一方と組み合わせるステップをさらに含む、請求項10記載の方法。
- 前記CPEデバイスによって送信された信号に応答して前記復号器によって前記CC情報が受信される、請求項10記載の方法。
- 前記CC情報が複数の言語で復号化される、請求項10記載の方法。
- 前記ディジタル・ネットワークがディジタル加入者線(DSL)ネットワークである、請求項10に記載の方法。
