Abstract
Description
1.分析方法
ポリマーを、TSK PWXLカラム(G6000+G3000+ガード)または同等品を用いるサイズ排除クロマトグラフィー(SEC)により分析した。移動相は、精製水中の0.05モルのリン酸水素二カリウム(K2HPO4)を伴う0.2モルの塩化ナトリウム(NaCl)であり、それを公称流量0.5ml/minで系にポンプで通した。
一般的な方法
1.適切な反応容器に、水、およびジエチレントリアミン五酢酸五ナトリウム塩(DETAPA)を入れる。
2.内容物の温度を上げ、80℃に維持する。
3.開始剤(1)を反応容器に加える。
4.開始剤[1]の導入直後に、モノマーの溶液ならびに開始剤(2)の溶液を反応容器に導入する。
5.モノマーおよび開始剤を全て導入した後、反応容器の内容物を80℃の温度に維持しながらさらに30分間攪拌を続ける。

(DETAPA)@6% 0.5ml
(〜pH5にする酢酸)
開始剤(1)過硫酸アンモニウム 0.431g(水10ml中)
モノマー:アクリルアミド@50% 396.0g
グリシジルメタクリレート@97% 4.13g
水 199.87g
開始剤(2)(2.25時間供給):過硫酸アンモニウム0.569g(水50ml中)
ストック調製
50:50の長:短ファイバーストックを、10%の充填剤を用いてコンシステンシー1.8%に調製し、ろ水度45SRまで叩いた。
ストックを1000rpmで攪拌し、30秒混合しながらポリマー(0.1%)を1kg/tで加えた。
用いたポリマーは、次の表に示されているように反応性グリシジルメタクリレート単位の割合を変えた、ポリアクリルアミド−グリシジルメタクリレートコポリマーである:
Claims (18)
- セルロースファイバーおよび場合により充填剤を含むセルロース懸濁液を用意し、セルロース懸濁液をワイヤまたは網で脱水してシートを形成し、そしてシートを乾燥することによる製紙プロセスであって、水溶性または潜在的に水溶性のエチレン性不飽和モノマーおよび反応性基を有するエチレン性不飽和モノマーを含むポリマーであるポリマー添加剤を含むプロセス。
- 反応性基が、エポキシド、イソシアネート、およびアミドメチロール基よりなる群から選択される、請求項1記載のプロセス。
- ポリマーが、少なくとも1種の水溶性または潜在的に水溶性のエチレン性不飽和モノマー;反応性基を有するエチレン性不飽和モノマー10mol%まで、好ましくは5mol%を含むモノマーブレンドから形成される、請求項1または請求項2記載のプロセス。
- ポリマーがアクリルアミドおよびグリシジルメタクリレートを含むモノマーブレンドから形成される、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項記載のプロセス。
- ポリマーが、100万未満、好ましくは50,000〜300,000の重量平均分子量を有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項記載のプロセス。
- ポリマー添加剤が乾燥紙力増強剤である、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項記載のプロセス。
- ポリマー添加剤が湿潤紙力増強剤である、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項記載のプロセス。
- ポリマー添加剤が内添サイズ剤である、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項記載のプロセス。
- 表面サイズ剤であるポリマー添加剤を、形成したセルロースシートの表面に塗布する、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項記載のプロセス。
- 少なくとも1種の水溶性または潜在的に水溶性のエチレン性不飽和モノマー、およびグリシジル基を有するエチレン性不飽和モノマーであるグリシジルモノマーを10mol%まで、好ましくは5mol%まで含むモノマーブレンドから形成されたポリマーであって、重量平均分子量が100万未満であるポリマー。
- モノマーブレンドがアクリルアミドまたはメタクリルアミドを含む、請求項10記載のポリマー。
- グリシジルモノマーが、グリシジルアクリレートまたはグリシジルメタクリレートのいずれかである、請求項10または請求項11記載のポリマー。
- ポリマーが、アクリルアミドを少なくとも99.9mol%、およびグリシジルアクリレートまたはグリシジルメタクリレートを0.1mol%まで含む、請求項10〜12のいずれか1項記載のポリマー。
- 重量平均分子量が50,000〜300,000である、請求項10〜13記載のポリマー。
- 少なくとも1種の水溶性または潜在的に水溶性のエチレン性不飽和モノマー、およびグリシジル基を有するエチレン性不飽和モノマーであるグリシジルモノマーを10mol%まで、好ましくは5mol%まで含むモノマーブレンドから形成された、重量平均分子量が100万未満であるポリマーの、製紙プロセスでの乾燥紙力増強剤としての使用。
- 少なくとも1種の水溶性または潜在的に水溶性のエチレン性不飽和モノマー、およびグリシジル基を有するエチレン性不飽和モノマーであるグリシジルモノマーを10mol%まで、好ましくは5mol%まで含むモノマーブレンドから形成された、重量平均分子量が100万未満であるポリマーの、製紙プロセスでの湿潤紙力増強剤としての使用。
- 少なくとも1種の水溶性または潜在的に水溶性のエチレン性不飽和モノマー、およびグリシジル基を有するエチレン性不飽和モノマーであるグリシジルモノマーを10mol%まで、好ましくは5mol%まで含むモノマーブレンドから形成された、重量平均分子量が100万未満であるポリマーの、製紙プロセスでの内添サイズ剤としての使用。
- 少なくとも1種の水溶性または潜在的に水溶性のエチレン性不飽和モノマー、およびグリシジル基を有するエチレン性不飽和モノマーであるグリシジルモノマーを10mol%まで、好ましくは5mol%まで含むモノマーブレンドから形成された、重量平均分子量が100万未満であるポリマーの、製紙プロセスでの表面サイズ剤としての使用。
