Abstract
Description
トナーと酸とを混合し、
その酸に反応する塩基とトナーとを混合して、トナー粒子を帯電させることを含む、
液体トナー中のトナー粒子を帯電させる方法が提供される。
結果を上に示した実験では、代表的なトナーを、後述のプロセスによって製造した。
Claims (16)
- 液体トナー中のトナー粒子を帯電させる方法であって、
前記トナーを酸と混合し、さらに
前記トナーを、前記酸と反応する塩基と混合してトナー粒子を帯電させるステップと
を含む、方法。 - 最初に前記酸をトナーに添加し、続いて前記塩基を添加して、トナー粒子を負電荷に帯電させる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記酸がスルホン酸またはカルボン酸を含む、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記酸が、ドデシルベンゼンスルホン酸(DDBS)、ビス(2−エチルヘキシル)スルホコハク酸(AOT)およびジノニルナフタレンスルホン酸(DNNS)からなる群から選択される、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記塩基がアミンを含む、請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記アミンが、トリエチルアミン、ジエチルアミンおよび2−エチルヘキシルアミンからなる群から選択される、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記塩基が金属水酸化物を含む、請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記金属水酸化物が一価または二価の金属水酸化物である、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記塩基が塩基性バリウムペトロネート(BBP)を含む、請求項7または8に記載の方法。
- 前記塩基がジノニルナフタレンスルホン酸水酸化バリウム塩(DNNS BaOH)を含む、請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記トナー粒子がカルボン酸部分を有するポリマーを含む、請求項1から10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 最初に前記塩基を添加し、続いて前記酸を添加してトナー粒子を正電荷に帯電させる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記塩基が前記トナーに可溶の一価、二価または三価の金属水酸化物を含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記酸がリン酸誘導体を含む、請求項12または13に記載の方法。
- 前記酸が、前記トナーに可溶の硫酸誘導体を含む、請求項12または13に記載の方法。
- 前記トナー粒子が、カルボン酸部分を有するポリマーを含む、請求項12から15のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
