Claims (8)
- ガス放電ランプ用の点灯回路であって、
スイッチング回路及びキャパシタンスの並列回路に直列に接続された誘導素子を有し、
前記ガス放電ランプは、前記誘導素子へ結合される、点灯回路。 - 前記スイッチング回路は、電流が前記スイッチング回路及び前記誘導素子を流れている場合に開き、それによって前記誘導素子に高電圧パルスを発生させるよう構成され、
前記スイッチング回路は、前記誘導素子で前記高電圧パルスが発生した後に閉じるよう構成される、請求項1記載の点灯回路。 - 前記スイッチング回路は、前記誘導素子にかかる電圧を決定するための電圧検出回路を設けられ、
前記スイッチング回路は、前記電圧が前記高電圧パルスの後に実質的に零である場合に閉じるよう構成される、請求項1又は2記載の点灯回路。 - 前記誘導素子は変圧器の一次巻線であり、
前記変圧器の二次巻線は前記ランプへ接続される、請求項1乃至3のうちいずれか一項記載の点灯回路。 - 前記スイッチング回路は、トランジスタと、該トランジスタのゲートへ接続されたスイッチ駆動回路とを有する、請求項1乃至4のうちいずれか一項記載の点灯回路。
- 少なくとも10kHzの繰り返し周波数で前記高電圧パルスを発生させるよう構成される、請求項1乃至5のうちいずれか一項記載の点灯回路。
- ガス放電ランプの点灯方法であって:
前記ランプへ結合された誘導素子を流れる電流を発生させるステップ;
前記誘導素子と直列に接続され且つ、キャパシタンスと並列に接続されたスイッチング回路を開き、それによって前記誘導素子で高電圧パルスを発生させるステップ;及び
前記誘導素子で前記高電圧パルスを発生させた後に前記スイッチング回路を閉じるステップ;
を有する点灯方法。 - 前記高電圧パルスは、少なくとも10kHzの繰り返し周波数で発生する、請求項7記載の点灯方法。
