Abstract
【解決手段】蛍光マークインジケータは、光学的増白剤を含んでいる基材(用紙)と、第1のパターンを充填する第1のドットデザイン31と、第1のパターンに緊密に近接して基材上に画像として印刷された相補的なパターンを充填する第2のドットデザイン30とを有し、第1のドットデザインは、高い用紙覆い範囲を与える、重ならない原色着色剤で構成されて、基材蛍光の高い抑制特性を有し、第2のドットデザインは、相対的に低い用紙覆い範囲を生成するように配置される原色着色剤で構成され、通常光の下では第1のドットデザインと実質的に同様な平均色外観を有し、基材蛍光の低い抑制特性を有し、紫外線光源に露光されて得られる印刷画像は、蛍光マークOとして識別可能なパターンを生み出す。

Description
「着色剤」:染料、顔料、又は色を材料に付与するのに用いられる他の薬剤。殆どの着色トナーのような着色剤は、吸収及び散乱という2つの主要な物理現象によって、入射照明から受け取る光のスペクトルパワー分布を変更することにより、色を付与する。色は、残りの光の透過が可能である状態の、入射光のスペクトル選択的な吸収及び散乱により生成される。例えば、シアン、マゼンタ及びイエローの着色剤はそれぞれ、長い波長、中間の波長、短い波長を、スペクトル領域において選択的に吸収する。殆どの着色トナーのような幾つかの着色剤は、透過モードで動作可能な染料により色を付与する。他の好適な着色剤は、反射モードにおいて動作することができる。本明細書における説明の目的のためであり限定するものではないが、着色剤は、基本的な減法混色のC、M、Y、K(シアン、マゼンタ、イエロー、及びブラック)の原色の1つであるものとされ、液体インク、固体インク、染料として製剤で又は静電写真トナーとして実現することができる。
「着色剤混合物」:C、M、Y、K着色剤の特定の組み合わせ。
「蛍光マーク」:通常光(可視光)の下では相対的に判読できないが、UV光の下では判読できる特性を有する、画像に埋め込まれた透かし(Watermark)。

i)通常の色差分(すなわち、CIE LAB ΔE)をしきい値より大きいUV明度差分により最小にする

1つの例示的な手法においては、両方の方策が実行され、2つの解決法のうちの良い方が選択される(すなわち、ΔE差分が小さい方及び/又はUV明度差分が大きい方)。

- 光学的増白剤を含んでいる基材と、
前記基材上に、画像として印刷された第1のパターンを充填する第1のドットパターンであって、相対的に高い用紙覆い範囲を与えるように配置された実質的に重ならない原色着色剤で構成されてその結果、基材の蛍光に対して高い抑制特性を有する前記第1のドットデザインと、
印刷された前記第1のパターンに空間的に実質的に緊密に近接して前記基材上に画像として印刷された相補的なパターンを充填する第2のドットデザインとを包含し、
前記第2のドットデザインは、相対的に低い用紙覆い範囲を生成するように配置される原色着色剤で構成され、通常光の下では前記第1のドットデザインと実質的に同様な平均色外観を有し、得られた前記第2のドットデザインは、基材の蛍光に対して低い抑制特性を有し、紫外線光源に好適に露光された結果として得られる前記印刷された基材画像は、蛍光マークとして明らかな識別可能なパターンを生み出す、
ことを特徴とする蛍光マークインジケータ。 - 前記第1のドットデザイン及び前記第2のドットデザインの着色剤混合物は、通常の照明の下では緊密な条件等色上でマッチしているが、紫外線光の下でのその応答は視覚的に区別できるままである、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の蛍光マークインジケータ。
- 光学的増白剤を含んでいる基材と、
前記基材上に画像として印刷された第1のパターンを充填する第1のドットデザインであって、相対的に高い用紙覆い範囲を与えるように配置される、少なくともイエローの着色剤を含む実質的に重ならない着色剤で構成されてその結果、基材の蛍光に対して高い抑制特性を有する、前記第1のドットデザインと、
前記印刷された第1のパターンに実質的に空間的に緊密に近接して前記基材上に画像として印刷された相補的なパターンを充填する第2のドットデザインであって、イエローの量が最小にされた着色剤で構成される前記第2のドットデザインとを含み、得られた前記第2のドットデザインは、基材の蛍光に対して低い抑制特性を有し、紫外線光源に好適に露光された結果として得られる印刷された基材画像は、蛍光マークとして明らかな識別可能なパターンを生み出す、
ことを特徴とする蛍光マークインジケータ。 - 光学的増白剤を含んでいる基材と、
前記基材上に画像として印刷される第1のドットパターンであって、少なくともイエローの着色剤を含む実質的に重ならない着色剤で構成される前記第1のドットデザインパターンとを含み、得られた前記第1のドットデザインパターンは、基材の蛍光に対して高い抑制特性を有しており、
更に、前記印刷された第1のドットデザインパターンに空間的に実質的に緊密に近接して前記基材上に画像として印刷される第2のドットパターンを含み、前記第2のドットパターンは、少なくともブラックの着色剤を含み且つイエローの量が最小にされた着色剤で構成され、得られた前記第2のドットデザインパターンは、基材の蛍光に対して低い抑制特性を有し、紫外線光源に好適に露光された結果として得られる印刷された基材画像は、蛍光マークとして明らかな識別可能なパターンを生み出す、
ことを特徴とする蛍光マークインジケータ。
