Abstract
【解決手段】1以上の脱レンズシリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズをアルコール、水及び界面活性剤を含む液体組成物と接触させることを含むシリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズの製造方法。前記方法は、シリコンハイドロゲルコンタクトレンズの製造において使用される、抽出/水和工程である。いくつかの実施例において、シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズ製品をアルコール、水及び界面活性剤液体組成物と接触させることにより、抽出工程の結果起こる眼科用レンズの表面の歪みを有意に減少させる又は防ぐことができる。いくつかの方法は、連続してシリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズを水及び界面活性剤を主に含む液体組成物と接触させることを含む。

Description
本発明の1つの態様において、シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズの製造方法は重合可能なシリコンハイドロゲルレンズ形成組成物を眼科用レンズ鋳型アッセンブリー内で重合させることにより重合化シリコンハイドロゲルレンズ製品の製造すること、重合化シリコンハイドロゲルレンズ製品を鋳型アッセンブリーからはずして脱レンズ(delensed)眼科用レンズ製品を製造すること、脱レンズ眼科用レンズ製品をアルコール、水及び界面活性剤を含む液体組成物と接触させ、続いて脱レンズ眼科用レンズ製品を水と接触させて水和シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズを製造することを含む。
図1はシリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズの製造方法を図示する模式的なフローチャートである。前記方法は、工程100における重合化シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズ製品の形成を含む。前記方法はさらに、工程102における重合化シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズ製品の脱成形(demolding)及び脱レンズ(delensing)を含む。重合化シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズ製品は次に工程104の抽出及び水和を、ハイドロゲル眼科用レンズ製品を1以上の有機溶媒、水溶性組成物及びその組み合わせのような、液体又は液体組成物と接触させることにより行う。本明細書における開示に従って、抽出及び水和工程で使用される1以上の液体又は液体組成物を含む浴は、浴の表面張力を減少させるような活性剤を含む。以下でさらに議論するように、好ましい活性剤は界面活性剤である。眼科用レンズの抽出が、抽出/水和眼科用レンズの表面の歪みを生ずる原因となるレンズホルダーを用いて行われた場合、活性剤の存在により1つのレンズの表面の歪みを防ぐことが出来、また処理単位に存在する表面の歪みを減少させることが出来る。抽出及び水和工程に続き、水和シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズを工程106において包装及び滅菌する。任意に、包装及び滅菌の前にレンズは表面処理し、緩衝化し及び研磨する。シリコンハイドロゲルレンズ形成材料は技術分野においてよく知られている。シリコンハイドロゲルコンタクトレンズ材料の例は以下の米国一般名(USANs)を有する材料を含む:バラフィルコンA(PUREVISION、Bausch & Lomb)、ロトラフィルコンA(NIGHT & DAY、CIBA Vision)、ロトラフィルコンB(O2OPTIX、CIBA Vision)、ガリフィルコンA(ACUVUE ADVANCE、Vistakon)、セノフィルコンA(ACUVUE OASYS、Vistakon)、コンフィルコンA(BIOFIN1TY、CooperVision)及びエンフィルコンA(CooperVision)。
Claims (19)
- シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズの製造方法であって、重合可能なシリコンハイドロゲルレンズ形成組成物を眼科用レンズ鋳型アッセンブリーの中で重合させて重合化シリコンハイドロゲルレンズ製品を製造する工程、重合化シリコンハイドロゲルレンズ製品を鋳型アッセンブリーからはずして脱レンズ眼科用レンズ製品を製造する工程、脱レンズ眼科用レンズ製品をアルコール、水及び界面活性剤を含む液体組成物と接触させる工程、及び続いて脱レンズ眼科用レンズ製品を水と接触させて水和シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズを製造する工程を含む前記方法。
- 水和シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズが、脱レンズ眼科用レンズ製品を、界面活性剤を含む水と接触させることにより製造される、請求項1記載の方法。
- 水和シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズが、脱レンズ眼科用レンズ製品を第1の界面活性剤を含む水と接触させ、続いて脱レンズ眼科用レンズ製品を第2の水と接触させることにより製造される、請求項1記載の方法。
- 第2の水が界面活性剤を含む、請求項3記載の方法。
- 液体組成物が100ppmのTween(登録商標)80を含む請求項1記載の方法。
- 脱レンズ重合化シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズ製品をアルコール、水及び表面の歪みを防ぐ量の界面活性剤を含む液体組成物と接触することを含む、シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズの製造における抽出及び水和工程の結果として起こる、シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズの表面の歪みを防ぐ方法。
- 脱レンズ眼科用レンズ製品をさらに別の、水を含む液体組成物と接触させることを含む請求項6記載の方法。
- さらに別の、液体組成物が界面活性剤を含む請求項6記載の方法。
- 液体組成物が約100ppmのTween(登録商標)80を含む請求項6記載の方法。
- 処理単位の脱レンズ重合化シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズ製品を、アルコール、水及び表面の歪みを防ぐ量の界面活性剤を含む液体組成物と接触することを含む、処理単位のシリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズの製造における抽出及び水和工程の結果として起こる、処理単位のシリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズの表面の歪みを減少させる方法であって、処理単位のレンズ製品に存在する表面の歪みの量が、実質的に同一の、アルコール、水を含み、界面活性剤を含まない液体組成物と接触した処理単位の脱レンズ重合化シリコンハイドロゲル眼科用レンズ製品の表面の歪みの量よりも少ない前記方法。
- シリコンハイドロゲルレンズ製品を少なくとも、アルコール、水及び界面活性剤を含む第1の液体組成物に接触すること、及びシリコンハイドロゲルレンズ製品を少なくとも、水を含む第2の液体組成物に接触することを含む、シリコンハイドロゲルレンズ製品の抽出及び水和方法。
- 第2の液体組成物がさらに界面活性剤を含む、請求項11記載の方法。
- さらにシリコンハイドロゲルレンズ製品を少なくとも、水を含む第3の液体組成物と接触させることを含む、請求項11記載の方法。
- 第3の液体組成物がさらに界面活性剤を含む、請求項11記載の方法。
- 第1の液体組成物が約100ppmのTween(登録商標)80を含む、請求項11記載の方法。
- シリコンハイドロゲルレンズ製品を、有機溶媒を含む第1の液体組成物と接触させること、シリコンハイドロゲルレンズ製品を、有機溶媒、水及び界面活性剤を含む第2の液体組成物と接触させること、シリコンハイドロゲルレンズ製品を、水を含む第3の液体組成物と接触させることを含むシリコンハイドロゲルレンズ製品の抽出及び水和方法。
- 第3の液体組成物がさらに界面活性剤を含む、請求項16記載の方法。
