Abstract
【解決手段】 鉄道車両車軸用軸受装置は、車軸10に嵌合させた内輪42と、軸箱に取り付けた外輪44と、内輪42の軌道と外輪44の軌道との間に介在させた転動体46と、転動体46を所定間隔に保持する保持器48とを有し、外輪44の両端開口部に軽接触タイプの密封装置50A,50Bが配置してあり、車軸10の軸端側の密封装置50Bに軸受の内から外へ空気を逃がすためのベント66を設け、反軸端側の密封装置50Aに軸受の外から内へ空気を入れるためのベント66を設ける。

Description
ベントは一種の逆止弁の作用をし、一方向への通気を許容し、その反対方向への通気を阻止する。
図1に複列円すいころ軸受を用いた鉄道車両車軸用軸受の縦断面を示す。複列円すいころ軸受は、間座を介して軸方向に隣接した一対の内輪42、複列の軌道をもった複列外輪44、内輪42の軌道と外輪44の軌道との間に転動自在に介在する複列の転動体(ここでは円すいころ)46、各列の転動体46を円周方向で所定間隔に保持する一対の保持器48を主要な構成要素とし、外輪44の両端部にオイルシールを含む密封装置50A,50Bが装着してあり、軸受内部に封入したグリースの洩れや、外部から異物が侵入するのを防止している。

Claims (1)
- 車軸に嵌合させた内輪と、軸箱に取り付けた外輪と、内輪の軌道と外輪の軌道との間に介在させた転動体と、転動体を所定間隔に保持する保持器とを有し、外輪の両端開口部に軽接触タイプの密封装置を配置したものにおいて、車軸の軸端側の密封装置に軸受の内から外へ空気を逃がすベントを設け、反軸端側の密封装置に軸受の外から内へ空気を入れるベントを設けた鉄道車両車軸用軸受装置。
