Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明に係るバックライト制御装置114の発光部101は直下型方式のものである。そのため、従来のように一部に光センサを配置しても、発光部101全体の発光強度を測定することができない。ところが、バックライト制御装置114においては、光センサ113が各光源108の検出をおこない、測定装置112がその発光強度を測定し、且つ、バックライト制御部110が測定装置112の測定結果に基づいて、各光源108の発光強度の制御をおこなうにようなっているため、発光部101全体の発光強度を測定した上で、エリア間のバラつきが抑えられた高精度の発光制御が実現されている。

Claims (10)
- 仕切られた複数のエリア毎に光源が配置された発光手段と、
前記発光手段の前記光源の光を検出して、前記光源の発光強度を測定する測定手段と、
前記測定手段の測定結果に基づいて、前記発光手段の前記光源の発光強度を制御する制御手段とを備える、バックライト制御装置。 - 前記測定手段は、前記エリア毎に順次発光する前記複数の光源それぞれの発光強度を時分割で測定する、請求項1に記載のバックライト制御装置。
- 前記光源が、RGB三原色からなる複数のLED、EL及びLDのいずれかの光学素子によって構成されている、請求項1又は2に記載のバックライト制御装置。
- 前記測定手段は、順次点灯する前記複数の光学素子それぞれの発光強度を時分割で測定する、請求項3に記載のバックライト制御装置。
- 前記測定手段が、前記光源が配置された前記エリアから前記光源の光を導出する光導波路と、前記光導波路によって導出された光を測定する測定装置とを有する、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のバックライト制御装置。
- 前記光導波路の前記エリア側の端部に取り付けられる集光素子をさらに備える、請求項5に記載のバックライト制御装置。
- 前記光導波路が光ファイバである、請求項5又は6に記載のバックライト制御装置。
- 前記制御手段は、前記測定手段の測定結果から前記光源の発光強度が所定レベルに達しているか否かを判定する判定手段と、前記判定手段によって発光強度が所定レベルに達していないと判定された前記光源の発光強度を上げる光出力調整手段とを有する、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のバックライト制御装置。
- 前記判定手段は、前記光源の発光強度の基準値を格納する格納部と、
前記光源の発光強度が所定レベルに達しているか否かの判定を、前記格納部に格納された前記基準値と前記測定手段の測定結果との比較によっておこなう比較手段とを有する、請求項8に記載のバックライト制御装置。 - 測定手段が、仕切られた複数のエリア毎に光源が配置された発光手段から、前記発光手段の前記光源の光を検出して、前記光源の発光強度を測定するステップと、
制御手段が、前記測定手段の測定結果に基づいて、前記発光手段の前記光源の発光強度を制御するステップと
を含む、バックライト制御方法。
