Abstract
【解決手段】画像信号に応じて画像を形成するための液晶表示パネル10と、画像を表示させるための照明光を照射するLEDバックライト20とを備えた液晶表示装置において、前記LEDバックライトを複数の領域に分割した各調整領域で出力すべき設定輝度を出力する輝度調整部41と、調整すべき領域の調整位置を指定する調整位置コントロール部42と、前記調整位置に対する前記設定輝度に対応するターゲット値を予め記憶してなるテーブル43と、調整領域の輝度を検出するフォトセンサ30と、前記フォトセンサの検出値と前記ターゲット値とを比較して差分値を出力する比較手段44と、前記差分値に応じて輝度調整された発光コントロール信号を出力する演算部45と有する発光制御回路40を備えた。

Claims (3)
- 画像信号に応じて画像を形成するための液晶表示パネルと、画像を表示させるための照明光を照射するLEDバックライトとを備えた液晶表示装置において、
前記LEDバックライトを複数の領域に分割した各調整領域で出力すべき設定輝度を出力する輝度調整部と、
調整すべき領域の調整位置を指定する調整位置コントロール部と、
前記調整位置に対する前記設定輝度に対応するターゲット値を予め記憶してなるテーブルと、
調整領域の輝度を検出するフォトセンサと、
前記フォトセンサの検出値と前記ターゲット値とを比較して差分値を出力する比較手段と、
前記差分値に応じて輝度調整された発光コントロール信号を出力する演算部と
を有する発光制御手段を備えたことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置において、
前記調整位置コントロール部は、前記LEDバックライトを複数の分割領域を順次シフトさせて調整すべき領域の調整位置を指定する
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1または2に記載の液晶表示装置において、
前記発光制御手段は、非調整領域の発光コントロール信号がOFFの時に、調整領域の発光コントロール信号をONさせて、前記フォトセンサにより調整領域の輝度を検出する ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
