【課題】トップシート上における体液の拡散面積を抑制する。
【解決手段】トップシート２１には、吸収性物品の長手方向に延びる賦型領域Ｒ１が幅方向に複数形成され、各賦型領域Ｒ１には、頂部領域Ｔ，底部領域Ｂ，及び頂部領域Ｔと底部領域Ｂの間の壁部領域からなる波形状が長手方向に連続的に形成されている。また壁部領域Ｗにおけるトップシート２１の繊維密度は頂部領域Ｔ又は底部領域Ｂにおけるトップシート２１の繊維密度よりも低く形成されている。

Description

本発明は、使い捨ておむつ，生理用ナプキン，パンティライナー，失禁パッド等のトップシート（表面材）に適用して好適な吸収性物品に関する。
従来より、トップシートの長手方向の両端部及び略中央部にそれぞれ横エンボス列及び縦エンボス列が形成された吸収性物品が知られている（特許文献１参照）。このような吸収性物品では、縦エンボス列において体液を長手方向に拡散させて体液の幅方向への拡散を抑制し、横エンボス列においては体液を幅方向に拡散させて体液の長手方向への拡散を抑制することにより、吸収性物品の幅方向及び長手方向の端部から体液が漏れることを防止している。

しかしながら、従来の吸収性物品は、上述の通り、トップシート表面における体液の拡散方向を制御することによって体液の漏れを防止するという構成になっているために、水溶便や経血等の高粘度でトップシートを透過しにくい体液については、トップシート表面における体液の拡散面積を小さくすることができなかった。
本発明は、上記課題を解決するためになされたものであり、その目的は、表面シート上における体液の拡散面積を抑制可能な吸収性物品を提供することにある。
上記課題を解決するために、本発明に係る吸収性物品は、透液性の繊維不織布により形成され、波形状に賦型された表面シートを備える。表面シートを形成する繊維は表面シートの幅方向よりも長手方向に沿って多く配向している。波形状は長手方向に連続的に形成され、波形状の頂部領域と底部領域は表面シートの長手方向に交差する方向に延びる。波形状の頂部領域と底部領域の間の壁部領域における繊維の密度は頂部領域又は底部領域における繊維の密度よりも低くなっている。
本発明に係る吸収性物品によれば、表面シートを透過しやすい体液中の成分が主に壁部領域から表面シートを透過し、表面シート上には高粘度成分のみが残るようになるので、体液の粘度が上昇することによって表面シート上における体液の拡散面積を抑制することができる。
本発明に係る吸水性物品は、例えば図１に示すような使い捨ておむつに適用することができる。以下、図面を参照して、本発明の実施形態となる使い捨ておむつの構成について説明する。なお、本発明に係る吸収性物品は、本実施形態に限定されることはなく、例えば生理用ナプキン，パンティライナー，失禁パッド等のトップシートに適用することができる。
〔使い捨ておむつの全体構成〕
本発明の実施形態となる使い捨ておむつ１は、図１に示すように、吸水性物品２を備え、前後の長手方向は前胴周り域３，後胴周り域４，及び前胴周り域３と後胴周り域４の間に位置する股下域５とにより構成されている。前胴周り域３及び後胴周り域４はそれぞれ使い捨ておむつ１の側方方向へ延出するウィング部分６，７を有し、ウィング部分６，７は、使い捨ておむつ１が着用状態にある際、ウィング部分６を内側にした状態で重なり合い、テープファスナ８を介して連結される。
吸水性物品２の幅方向両側部には、吸水性物品２の幅方向側部及びウィング部分６の表層を成すシート部材９を折り返すことにより吸水性物品２の幅方向側縁２ａに沿って長手方向に伸びるカフ１０が形成されている。このカフ１０は、吸水性物品２の長手方向中央部分では吸水性物品２の表面状に略一定幅（高さ）で突出するように折り曲げて形成されていると共に、その先端縁１０ａには紐状の弾性部材１１が伸縮状態で取り付けられている。
弾性部材１１を取り付けることにより、カフ１０の先端縁１０ａが長手方向に縮んでカフ１０のギャザーが形成されると共に、カフ１０を介して吸水性物品２の長手方向両側を中央側に引っ張る力が作用して、吸水性物品２を後述するトップシート２１側を内側とする状態で長手方向に湾曲させ、且つ、カフ１０を吸水性物品２の長手方向中央部で壁状に起立させる性向が与えられている。
吸水性物品２の長手方向中央部分には、カフ１０の固定端縁よりも吸水性物品２の幅方向外側（幅方向側縁２ａ側）に離間した位置に、幅方向側縁２ａ及び固定端縁に沿うように紐状の弾性部材１２が伸張状態で設けられている。この弾性部材１２を取り付けることにより、吸水性物品２の幅方向側部にギャザーが生じることになる。
〔吸水性物品の構成〕
吸水性物品２は、図２に示すように、繊維不織布により形成された透液性のトップシート（表面シート）２１と、プラスチックフィルムやプラスチックフィルムと不織布の積層材料等により形成された不透液性のバックシート（裏面シート）２２と、トップシート２１とバックシート２２との間に介在し、トップシート２１及びバックシート２２の少なくとも一方に接合された吸液性コア（吸収体）２３とを有する。
吸液性コア２３としては、所要の厚みに圧縮された、粒子状や繊維状の高吸水性ポリマーとフラッフパルプとの混合物や、粒子状や繊維状の高吸水性ポリマーとフラッフパルプと熱可塑性合成樹脂繊維との混合物等を使用することできる。また吸液性コア２３全体は、型崩れやポリマー粒子の脱落を防止するためにティッシュペーパーにより被覆されていることが望ましい。ポリマー粒子としては、デンプン系，セルロース系，合成ポリマー系のものを使用することができる。
〔トップシートの構成〕
トップシート２１には、図３に示すように、吸収性物品の長手方向に延びる賦型領域Ｒ１が長手方向に交差する方向（幅方向）に複数形成され、各賦型領域Ｒ１には、図２に示すように、頂部領域Ｔ，底部領域Ｂ，及び頂部領域Ｔと底部領域Ｂの間の壁部領域Ｗからなる波形状が長手方向に連続的に賦型されている。またトップシート２１を形成する繊維２４は、図４に示すようにトップシート２１の幅方向よりも長手方向に沿って多く配向し、壁部領域Ｗにおける繊維密度は、例えば頂部領域Ｔ又は底部領域Ｂにおける繊維を溶融結合することにより、頂部領域Ｔ又は底部領域Ｂにおける繊維密度よりも低く形成されている。なお、壁部領域Ｗにおける繊維密度は、壁部領域Ｗにおける繊維又は繊維同士の接合点を破断させることにより、頂部領域Ｔ又は底部領域Ｂにおける繊維密度よりも低く形成されていてもよい。さらに壁部領域Ｗにおける繊維密度は、壁部領域Ｗにおける繊維を延伸させることによって壁部領域Ｗにおける繊維径を頂部領域Ｔ及び底部領域Ｂにおける繊維径よりも小さく（細く）することにより、頂部領域Ｔ又は底部領域Ｂにおける繊維密度よりも低く形成されていてもよい。具体的には、頂部領域Ｔ及び底部領域Ｂにおける繊維密度は０．０５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以上０．２［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以下の範囲内、壁部領域Ｗにおける繊維密度は０．００５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以上０．１５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以下の範囲内に形成されている。
このように頂部領域Ｔ，底部領域Ｂ，及び壁部領域Ｗからなる波形状をトップシート２１の長手方向に連続的に賦型することにより、体液は底部領域Ｂに沿って拡散しやすくなり、体液の拡散方向を制御することができる。また壁部領域Ｗにおける繊維密度を頂部領域Ｔ又は底部領域Ｂにおける繊維密度よりも低くすることにより、トップシート２１を透過しやすい体液中の成分は主に壁部領域Ｗからトップシート２１を透過し、トップシート２１表面上には高粘度成分のみが残るようになるので、体液の粘度が上昇することによって体液の拡散面積を抑制することができる。そしてこの結果、肌への体液の付着面積を減らすことができると共に、吸収性物品からの体液の漏れを防止することができる。なお、頂部領域及Ｔび底部領域Ｂにおける繊維を溶融結合した場合には、繊維の配向方向に交差する形で繊維を固定され、隣り合う溶融箇所間で繊維が確実に配向，延伸されるようになる。
賦型領域Ｒ１は、図３に示すように、後ろ胴周り領域４側に偏移している。トップシートは尿等の低粘度の体液を透過できるが、水溶便等の高粘度の体液を透過しにくい。そして高粘度の体液は吸収性物品の背中側に拡散する確率が高い。一方、上述のようにトップシートに波形状を賦型した場合、肌刺激が増えるので、賦型領域は必要最小限に留めることが望ましい。従って、賦型領域Ｒ１を後ろ胴周り領域４側に偏移させることにより、高粘度の体液の拡散面積を抑制できると共に肌刺激を最小にすることができる。
賦型領域Ｒ１間には、長手方向に延伸し、０．２［ｍｍ］以上３［ｍｍ］以下の幅方向寸法を有する非賦型領域Ｒ２が形成されている。賦型領域Ｒ１間に非賦型領域Ｒ２を形成することにより、賦型領域Ｒ１内の壁部領域Ｗが折り重なることにより体液の拡散が妨げられることを防止できる。またこのような構成によれば、トップシート２１を製造する際に、トップシート２１のテンションを保つことができるので、トップシート２１が弛んで皺が発生することを防止できる。
頂部領域Ｔ及び底部領域Ｂは長手方向に０．２［ｍｍ］以上３［ｍｍ］以下及び幅方向に３［ｍｍ］以上１００［ｍｍ］以下の範囲内の寸法を有し、壁部領域Ｗは長手方向に０．３［ｍｍ］以上５［ｍｍ］以下及び幅方向に３［ｍｍ］以上１００［ｍｍ］以下の範囲内の寸法を有する。また、波形状の底部から頂部の高さ寸法は０．３［ｍｍ］以上３［ｍｍ］以下の範囲内にある。
上述の通り、頂部領域Ｔ及び底部領域Ｂにおける繊維の密度は壁部領域Ｗにおける繊維の密度と比較して高いために、頂部領域Ｔ及び底部領域Ｂの面積比率が高くなると、体液の透過性が悪くなる。従って、頂部領域Ｔ及び底部領域Ｂの面積比率を小さくして壁部領域Ｗの面積比率を小さくする必要がある。しかしながら、壁部領域Ｗの面積比率を大きくすると、トップシート２１の強度が弱くなり、肌の擦れ等で破れたり、波形状がつぶれやすくなる。従って、トップシート２１は上述した寸法に形成することが望ましい。
〔トップシートの製造方法〕
上記トップシート２１の波形状は、繊維不織布に適当なテンションを与えながら、例えば図５（ｂ）に示すような凹凸パターンが表面に形成されたローラ３１ａ，３１ｂ間に繊維不織布を供給する（図５（ａ）参照）ことにより形成することができる。ローラ３１ａの長手方向に形成された複数の台形形状の凸部３３の上底，下底，及び上底間の長さＤ１，Ｄ２，Ｄ３、ローラ３１ａの幅方向に形成された複数の台形形状の凸部３４の上底，下底，及び上底間の長さＤ４，Ｄ５，Ｄ６は形成する波形状及び賦型領域の寸法に応じて適宜決定する。なお、図５に示す装置はローラ３１ａ，３１ｂの凹凸パターンが互いに咬み込むように構成されており、具体的にはローラ３１ａの凸部がローラ３１ｂの凹部に噛み込む。従ってトップシート２１の波形状の頂部と底部はそれぞれローラ３１ａの凹部とローラ３１ｂの凸部に相当し、トップシート２１の壁部領域の密度はローラ３１ａ，３１ｂの深さ等を適宜調整することで変化させることができる。
〔その他の実施形態〕
以上、本発明者らによってなされた発明を適用した実施の形態について説明したが、この実施の形態による本発明の開示の一部をなす論述及び図面により本発明は限定されることはない。例えば、トップシート２１の賦型領域の吸液性コア２３側表面に、トップシート２１よりも嵩高な密度が０．００５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以上０．１０［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以下の範囲内にある不織布を形成してもよい。吸液性コアが高密度のシートにより覆われていると、高粘度の体液はトップシートを透過しても行き場がなくなり溢れ、トップシート２１上に留まるか流れてしまう。従って、嵩高な密度が０．００５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以上０．１０［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以下の範囲内にある不織布を設けることにより、トップシート２１を透過した高粘度の体液は吸液性コア２３側に流れ、体液と肌の接触面積が減少しやすくなる。
またこの場合、嵩高な不織布と吸液性コア２３との間に密度が０．０５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以上０．２５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以下の範囲内にある吸液性コア２３を覆うシートを設けても良い。トップシート２１の密度が低くなると吸収性コア２３の成分がトップシート２１を介して吸収性物品２の表面側に抜け出る可能性がある。吸液性コア２３を密度が０．０５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以上０．２５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以下の範囲内にあるシートで覆うことにより、吸液性コア２３の成分が抜け出ることを防止できる。このように、上記実施の形態に基づいて当業者等によりなされる他の実施の形態、実施例及び運用技術等は全て本発明の範疇に含まれることは勿論であることを付け加えておく。

Claims (11)

  1. 透液性の繊維不織布により形成され、波形状に賦型された表面シートと、不透液性の裏面シートと、前記表面シートと前記裏面シートの間に介在する吸収体とを備える吸収性物品であって、
    前記表面シートを形成する繊維は表面シートの幅方向より長手方向に沿って多く配向し、前記波形状は表面シートの長手方向に連続的に形成され、波形状の頂部と底部は表面シートの長手方向と交差する方向に延び、波形状の頂部領域と底部領域の間の壁部領域における繊維の密度は頂部領域又は底部領域における繊維の密度よりも低いことを特徴とする吸収性物品。
  2. 請求項１に記載の吸収性物品において、前記頂部領域及び前記底部領域における繊維が溶融結合していることを特徴とする吸収性物品。
  3. 請求項１又は請求項２に記載の吸収性物品において、前記頂部領域及び前記底部領域における繊維の密度が０．０５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以上０．２［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以下の範囲内にあり、前記壁部領域における繊維の密度が０．００５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以上０．１５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以下の範囲内にあることを特徴とする吸収性物品。
  4. 請求項１乃至請求項３のうち、いずれか１項に記載の吸収性物品において、前記頂部領域及び前記底部領域が長手方向に０．２［ｍｍ］以上３［ｍｍ］以下及び幅方向に３［ｍｍ］以上１００［ｍｍ］以下の範囲内の寸法を有し、前記壁部領域が長手方向に０．３［ｍｍ］以上５［ｍｍ］以下及び幅方向に３［ｍｍ］以上１００［ｍｍ］以下の範囲内の寸法を有し、波形状の底部から頂部までの高さ寸法が０．３［ｍｍ］以上３［ｍｍ］以下の範囲内にあることを特徴とする吸収性物品。
  5. 請求項１乃至請求項４のうち、いずれか１項に記載の吸収性物品において、前記壁部領域における繊維が延伸されることにより壁部領域における繊維径が前記頂部領域及び前記底部領域における繊維径よりも小さくなっていることを特徴とする吸収性物品。
  6. 請求項１乃至請求項５のうち、いずれか１項に記載の吸収性物品において、前記壁部領域における繊維又は繊維同士の接合点が破断していることを特徴とする吸収性物品。
  7. 請求項１乃至請求項６のうち、いずれか１項に記載の吸収性物品において、前記表面シートは、長手方向に延伸し、０．２［ｍｍ］以上３［ｍｍ］以下の幅方向寸法を有する非賦型領域を有することを特徴とする吸収性物品。
  8. 請求項１乃至請求項７のうち、いずれか１項に記載の吸収性物品において、波形状の賦型領域は後ろ胴周り領域側に偏移していることを特徴とする吸収性物品。
  9. 請求項１乃至請求項８のうち、いずれか１項に記載の吸収性物品において、前記表面シートの賦型領域の吸収体側表面に形成された、表面シートよりも嵩高な不織布を有することを特徴とする吸収性物品。
  10. 請求項９に記載の吸収性物品において、前記嵩高な不織布の密度が０．００５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以上０．１０［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以下の範囲内にあることを特徴とする吸収性物品。
  11. 請求項９又は請求項１０に記載の吸収性物品において、前記嵩高な不織布と前記吸収体との間に配置され、当該吸収体を覆うシートを有し、当該シートの密度が０．０５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以上０．２５［ｇ／ｃｍ３］以下の範囲内にあることを特徴とする吸収性物品。
