Abstract
Description
本出願は、2003年10月24日に出願され、発明の名称「Multi−Lumen Prosthesis Systems and Methods」の、米国特許出願第10/693,255号の利益を主張する。
損傷または疾患による血管壁の弱体化は、血管の拡張および動脈瘤の形成をもたらし得る。未処置のままでいると、相当の大きさまで動脈瘤は大きくなり得、そして最終的には破裂し得る。
のいずれかに頼り、グラフトを適所に保持するために利用される。これらのグラフト取り付け手段は、縫合と比較した場合、同レベルの取り付けを提供せず、そして配置の際にネイティブな血管を損傷し得る。

(I.組織補強プロテーゼ)
(A.構造)
図1は、本発明の特徴を具体化する組織補強プロテーゼ10を示す。プロテーゼ10は、疾患または損傷によって弱体化されている血管または中空体器官の領域の補強に役立つ。後により詳細に記載されるように、望ましいプロテーゼ10は、プラットフォームを提供し、このプラットフォーム上で、血管または中空体器官内で第2のプロテーゼ36(図2参照)を配置する。この配置おいて、補強プロテーゼ10は、全体のプロテーゼシステム52の構成部分を構成する。
今しがた記載されたような、組織補強プロテーゼ10の配置の標的となる領域は、様々であり得る。例えば、標的となる領域は、図4が示すような、所定の体器官内の罹患した領域または弱体化した領域を含み得る。この実施形態において、プロテーゼ10の存在は、損傷または弱体化が存在する体器官に補強を提供する。
(A.一般的な使用のための管状プロテーゼ)
任意の所定の管状プロテーゼ54(図10参照)は、領域26を有する幹56を備え得る。この領域26は、前に記載された方法で、ファスナー28の受け取りおよび保持のために特別にサイズ決めされ構成される。図10において、幹56は、例示するために、腸骨動脈の天然の二分岐に近位の位置に対して遠位である腎動脈に隣接する大動脈中で、伸展するようにサイズ決めされ構成される。図10に示されるように、領域26は、腎動脈に隣接する大動脈のネック中に位置する。領域26の特徴は、前に記載されたように、プロテーゼ54を移動させないように固定して取付け得ることである。

Claims (27)
- 血管または中空体器官のプロテーゼであって、該プロテーゼは、プロテーゼ材料および足場を含む幹を含み、該足場は、該プロテーゼ材料を支えて該幹内に管腔の形を定め、該幹は、本体領域およびファスナー領域を含み、該ファスナー領域は、少なくとも1つのファスナーの第2の領域内における受け取りおよび保持のために該本体領域とは異なって構成され、該ファスナーは、外部ファスナー取り付けアセンブリによって組織内へ移植される、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項1に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記ファスナー領域は、前記幹の端部領域を含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項2に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記端部領域は、該端部領域と隣接組織との間をふさぐようにサイズ決めされ構成されたステントリングを含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項1に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記ファスナー領域は、前記本体領域内のプロテーゼ材料とは異なるプロテーゼ材料を含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項4に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記ファスナー領域内のプロテーゼ材料は、前記本体領域内のプロテーゼ材料より多くの層を含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項4に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記ファスナー領域内のプロテーゼ材料は、前記本体領域内に存在しない所定の編み込みパターンを含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項6に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記所定の編み込みパターンが、前記本体領域内の編み込みパターンよりも緻密である、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項6に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記所定の編み込みパターンが、Xパターンを含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項6に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記所定の編み込みパターンが、正弦波パターンを含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項4に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記ファスナー領域内のプロテーゼ材料が、前記本体領域内に存在しない所定の構成物を含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項10に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記所定の構成物が金属である、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項10に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記所定の構成物が、KevlarTM材料を含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項10に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記所定の構成物が、VectranTM材料を含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項10に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記所定の構成物が、前記本体領域内で見出された材料と織り合わせられる、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項1に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記ファスナー領域は、前記本体領域における足場構成とは異なる足場構成を含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項1に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記足場が、自己拡張材料を含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項1に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記足場が、可鍛性材料を含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項1に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記プロテーゼ材料が、ポリエステルを含む、プロテーゼ。
- 請求項1に記載のプロテーゼであって、前記プロテーゼ材料が、ePTFEを含む、プロテーゼ。

- 血管または中空体器官のプロテーゼシステムであって、該プロテーゼシステムは、プロテーゼ材料および足場を含む幹を含む第1のプロテーゼを含み、該足場は、該プロテーゼ材料を支えて該幹内に管腔の形を定め、該幹は、本体領域およびファスナー領域を含み、該ファスナー領域は、少なくとも1つのファスナーの第2の領域内における受け取りおよび保持のために該本体領域とは異なって構成され、該ファスナーは、外部ファスナー取り付けアセンブリによって組織内へ移植され、該本体領域は、ソケット領域を含み、該プロテーゼシステムは、該ソケット領域と結合される補助プロテーゼ構造体をさらに含む、プロテーゼシステム。
