Claims (14)
- 超広帯域(UWB)RF信号を用いて、ターゲット領域における関心物体を検出する検出方法であって、
前記超広帯域のRFインパルス状信号を用いて前記ターゲット領域を探査する工程と、
前記ターゲット領域からの応答信号を受信する工程と、
前記応答信号を時間スライス特徴データへ分解することにより、該応答信号を処理する工程と、
既存のプロファイルがデータベースに格納されている、既知の関心物体の座標を指定する工程と、
前記時間スライス特徴データと、既存のプロファイルを有する、既知の関心物体の前記座標との距離を示すベクトルの絶対値に基づいて、既知の関心物体の検出確率を決定する工程と、
前記ベクトルの絶対値が所定の値よりも小さい場合、前記既知の物体の存在を表示する工程と、を備えることを特徴とする検出方法。 - 前記既知の物体の前記座標は、シグネチャーのデータベースに格納されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記関心物体は壁の背後に置かれていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記関心物体は人の上に隠されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記関心物体は茂みにより覆い隠されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記関心物体は乗り物から検出されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記決定する工程は、ハーフ・フーリエ変換の仕様を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 超広帯域(UWB)RF信号を用いて、ターゲット領域における関心物体を検出する装置であって、
前記超広帯域のRFインパルス状信号を用いて前記ターゲット領域を探査するトランスミッタと、
前記ターゲット領域からの応答信号を受信する受信手段と、
前記応答信号を時間スライス特徴データへ分解することにより、該応答信号を処理する信号処理手段と、
既存のプロファイルがデータベースに格納されている、既知の関心物体の座標を指定する手段と、
前記時間スライス特徴データと、既存のプロファイルを有する、既知の関心物体の前記座標との距離を示すベクトルの絶対値に基づいて、既知の関心物体の検出確率を決定する手段と、
前記ベクトルの絶対値が所定の値よりも小さい場合、前記既知の物体の存在を表示する表示手段と、を備えることを特徴とする装置。 - 前記トランスミッタにはアンテナが含まれることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記受信手段にはアンテナが含まれることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記受信手段と、前記トランスミッタは、一つのアンテナを共有することを特徴とする請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は地上車に搭載されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は航空機に搭載されることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は手持ちのユニットであることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の装置。
