Claims (12)
- 可変レンズであって、
チャンバーを含み、該チャンバーは、少なくとも一つの側壁によって定義されると共に該チャンバーを通じて縦に延びる光軸を有し、
該チャンバーは、該光軸を横断して広がるメニスカスにわたって接触している第一の流体及び第二の流体を含有し、
該メニスカスの周は、該側壁によって束縛され、
該流体は、実質的に不混和性であると共に異なる屈折率を有し、且つ、
当該可変レンズは、該チャンバー内に含有された該流体の各々の相対的な容積を変えることによって、該光軸に沿って該メニスカスの位置を制御可能に変えるために配置された少なくとも一つのポンプを含む、レンズ。 - 前記ポンプは、電気毛管、差圧電気毛管、エレクトロウェッティング、継続的エレクトロウェッティング、電気泳動、電気浸透、誘電泳動、電磁流体力学的ポンピング、熱毛管、熱膨張、誘電ポンピング、機械的ポンピング、又は可変誘電ポンピングの少なくとも一つを利用して、動作する、請求項1に記載のレンズ。
- 前記チャンバーの内部の表面の湿潤性は、縦に変動する、請求項1又は2に記載のレンズ。
- 前記チャンバーの内部の表面の湿潤性は、エレクトロウェッティングの効果によって制御可能に変えられるように、配置される、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載のレンズ。
- 前記チャンバーは、円形の断面を有する、請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載のレンズ。
- 前記チャンバーの前記内部の表面を定義する前記側壁の少なくとも一つは、前記光軸に平行ではない、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載のレンズ。
- 当該レンズは、ズームレンズである、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のレンズ。
- 可変レンズを含む光学デバイスであって、
該レンズは、チャンバーを含み、該チャンバーは、少なくとも一つの側壁によって定義されると共に該チャンバーを通じて縦に延びる光軸を有し、
該チャンバーは、該光軸を横断して広がるメニスカスにわたって接触している第一の流体及び第二の流体を含有し、
該メニスカスの周は、該側壁によって束縛され、
該流体は、実質的に不混和性であると共に異なる屈折率を有し、且つ、
該レンズは、該チャンバー内に含有された該流体の各々の相対的な容積を変えることによって、該光軸に沿って該メニスカスの位置を制御可能に変えるために配置された少なくとも一つのポンプを含む、光学デバイス。 - 当該デバイスは、光記録担体の情報層を走査する光走査デバイスであり、
当該デバイスは、放射ビームを発生させる放射源及び該情報層に該放射ビームを収束させる対物系を含む、請求項8に記載の光学デバイス。 - 当該デバイスは、可変焦点画像取得デバイスである、請求項8に記載の光学デバイス。
- 可変レンズを製造する方法であって、
当該方法は、チャンバーを提供することを含み、該チャンバーは、少なくとも一つの側壁によって定義されると共に該チャンバーを通じて縦に延びる光軸を有し、
当該方法は、該チャンバーに第一の流体及び第二の流体を、該流体が、該光軸を横断して広がるメニスカスにわたって接触しているように、提供することを含み、
該メニスカスの周は、該側壁によって束縛され、
該流体は、実質的に不混和性であると共に異なる屈折率を有し、且つ、
当該方法は、該チャンバー内に含有された該流体の各々の相対的な容積を変えることによって、該光軸に沿って該メニスカスの位置を制御可能に変えるために配置された少なくとも一つのポンプを提供することを含む、方法。 - 光学デバイスを製造する方法であって、
当該方法は、可変レンズを提供するステップを含み、
該可変レンズは、チャンバーを含み、該チャンバーは、少なくとも一つの側壁によって定義されると共に該チャンバーを通じて縦に延びる光軸を有し、
該チャンバーは、該光軸を横断して広がるメニスカスにわたって接触している第一の流体及び第二の流体を含有し、
該メニスカスの周は、該側壁によって束縛され、
該流体は、実質的に不混和性であると共に異なる屈折率を有し、且つ、
