Abstract
【解決手段】鉛蓄電池の負極活物質中に、カーボンとともにカーボンを吸着する疎水性物質を添加する。この疎水性物質として、ポリプロピレンやポリエチレン等の疎水性樹脂繊維を用いることができる。負極活物質粒子間から放出されたカーボンはこの疎水性物質の表面に吸着し、負極活物質とカーボンとの接触が維持されるため、充電受入性の低下を抑制することができる、また、電解液中へのカーボンの分散も抑制され、電槽内壁へのカーボンの付着と、これによる電解液面の視認性低下を顕著に抑制することができる。

Claims (5)
- 負極活物質中に、カーボンおよび前記カーボンを吸着する疎水性物質を含む鉛蓄電池。
- 前記疎水性物質は繊維状であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の鉛蓄電池。
- 前記疎水性物質はポリプロピレン、ポリエチレンもしくはこれらの共重合体からなる請求項1もしくは2に記載の鉛蓄電池。
- 前記負極活物質100質量部に対して、前記疎水性物質を0.02〜0.4質量部含み、かつ前記負極活物質100質量部に対して、前記カーボンを0.2質量部以上含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の鉛蓄電池。
- 前記負極活物質を充填した負極板と、正極板、セパレータおよびこれらを浸漬する電解液を有し、前記電解液の液面を前記電槽の外部から透視でき、かつポリプロピレン、ポリエチレンもしくはこれらの共重合体からなる電槽に収納された請求項1、2、3もしくは4に記載の鉛蓄電池。
