Abstract
【解決手段】電圧レギュレータの駆動制御回路に対して利用される供給電圧が、入力電圧の変化に関連して変化する。したがって、1つの実施形態では、調整回路の出力トランジスタの制御端子を駆動する回路に対して利用される供給電圧が、入力電圧の変化に関連して変化してもよい。例えば、入力電圧レベルと、レギュレータ出力トランジスタのゲートを制御するゲート駆動回路に対して使用される電圧レベルとの間に、逆数の関係が確立されてもよい。

Claims (20)
- 電圧調整を有するバッテリサポートされている電力供給システム中でバッテリ寿命を延長させる方法において、
調整される第1の電圧供給を提供し、前記第1の電圧供給は少なくとも時々バッテリ源から発生されることと、
前記第1の電圧供給を受け取る電圧レギュレータを提供することと、
前記第1の電圧供給の電圧レベルに少なくとも部分的に関連して変化する、可変出力駆動制御電圧を発生させることと
を含み、
前記第1の電圧供給の電圧レベルに関連して前記出力駆動制御電圧を変化させることは、前記バッテリの寿命を延長させる方法。 - 前記可変出力駆動制御電圧がトランジスタの制御端末を制御する、請求項1記載の方法。
- トランジスタの伝導損は前記出力駆動制御電圧を変化させることにより変化するので、前記電圧レギュレータの効率は前記出力駆動制御電圧を変化させることにより変わる、請求項2記載の方法。
- 前記第1の電圧供給は時々AC電源から発生される、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記バッテリサポートされている電力供給システムは、前記第1の電圧供給の電圧レベルに少なくとも部分的に関連して変化する、複数の可変出力駆動制御電圧を有する複数の電圧レギュレータを具備する、請求項4記載の方法。
- 前記可変出力駆動制御電圧は前記第1の電圧供給に対して逆数の関係で変化する、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記第1の電圧供給は時々AC電源から発生され、前記可変出力駆動制御電圧は、前記第1の電圧供給が前記AC電源から発生されるときよりも、前記第1の電圧供給が前記バッテリ源から発生されるときに、少なくとも時々、より大きい振幅を有している、請求項6記載の方法。
- 電圧レギュレータの出力駆動制御電圧を制御する方法において、
前記電圧レギュレータにより調整される第1の電圧供給を提供することと、
前記電圧レギュレータの制御回路の少なくとも一部に対する制御ユニット電力供給として制御ユニット電圧を利用することと、
前記電圧レギュレータの駆動回路の少なくとも一部に対する駆動ユニット電力供給として駆動ユニット電圧を利用し、前記駆動回路は前記電圧レギュレータの出力トランジスタを制御する駆動信号を制御することと、
前記駆動ユニット電圧レベルが前記第1の電圧供給の電圧レベルに少なくとも部分的に依存しているように、前記駆動ユニット電圧を変化させることと、
前記電圧レギュレータから調整された出力電圧を提供することと
を含み、
前記電圧レギュレータの効率は前記駆動ユニット電圧に依存している方法。 - 前記駆動ユニット電圧は前記電圧レギュレータの電圧レギュレータ集積回路の外部で発生される、請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記駆動ユニット電圧は前記電圧レギュレータの電圧レギュレータ集積回路内で発生される、請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記出力トランジスタの伝導損は前記駆動ユニット電圧を変化させることにより変化する、請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記駆動ユニット電圧は前記第1の電圧供給の電圧レベルに対して逆数の関係で変化する、請求項11記載の方法。
- 情報取扱システムにおいて、
バッテリ源から少なくとも時々発生され、可変電圧レベルを有する第1の電圧供給と、
前記第1の電圧に結合され、前記第1の電圧を調整して電圧レギュレータ出力電圧を提供する電圧レギュレータと、
前記電圧レギュレータの制御回路の少なくとも一部によって利用される第2の電圧供給と、
第3の電圧供給は前記電圧レギュレータの駆動回路の少なくとも一部によって利用され、前記駆動回路は前記電圧レギュレータの出力トランジスタの制御端子に結合された制御信号を提供する、可変の第3の電圧供給と
を具備し、
前記可変の第3の電圧供給の電圧レベルは、前記第1の電圧供給の電圧レベルに依存している情報取扱システム。 - 前記第1の電圧供給はAC電源からも発生されてもよい、請求項13記載の情報取扱システム。
- 複数の電圧レギュレータをさらに具備し、前記複数の電圧レギュレータのそれぞれは前記第1の電圧供給に結合され、前記複数の電圧レギュレータの少なくとも2つ以上は、各電圧レギュレータ駆動回路により利用される可変電圧供給をそれぞれ有しており、前記可変電圧供給の電圧レベルは前記第1の電圧供給に関連して変化する、請求項13記載の情報取扱システム。
- 電圧レギュレータ集積回路の外部に設けられ、出力として前記可変の第3の電圧供給を有する電圧レベル調整回路をさらに具備する、請求項13記載の情報取扱システム。
- 前記可変の第3の電圧供給は、電圧レギュレータ集積回路の内部で発生される、請求項13記載の情報取扱システム。
- 前記出力トランジスタは第1のMOSFETデバイスであり、前記MOSFETデバイスのMOSFET伝導損は前記可変の第3の電圧供給の電圧レベルに関連して変化する、請求項13記載の情報取扱システム。
- 第2のMOSFETデバイスをさらに具備し、前記第1および第2のMOSFETデバイスのそれぞれは、前記第1の電圧供給の電圧レベルに関連して変化する可変ゲート制御信号を受け取る、請求項18記載の情報取扱システム。
- 前記第2の電圧供給は一定の電圧レベルを有する、請求項13記載の情報取扱システム。
