Abstract
【解決手段】内燃機関の排ガス流路に設けられ、塩基性酸化物を含む担体とこの担体上に担持された白金を含む再生可能な触媒と、三元触媒又はNOx吸蔵還元触媒と、酸素供給手段とを備える排ガス浄化装置。

Description
白金を1wt%担持させたCeO2-ZrO2系複合酸化物(モル比Ce/Zr=6/4)を、コーデェライト製ハニカム基材に120g/Lのコート密度でコートし、250℃で乾燥した。乾燥後、600℃で1時間焼成し、再生可能な触媒を得た。この触媒に950℃において、3%のCO/N2を15L/minの流速で5時間流通させ、再生可能な触媒の耐久品を得た。この耐久品のコート層の一部を採取し、特開2005−164391号公報に記載のCO化学吸着法により白金の平均粒子径をもとめたところ、9nmであった。
コーディエライト製ハニカム基材にアルミナを120g/Lの密度でコートし、得られたハニカム担体を、白金担持量が2g/Lとなるように調製した所定濃度のジニトロジアミン白金の水溶液に浸漬し、250℃で乾燥した。乾燥後、600℃で1時間焼成し、三元触媒を得た。
NOx吸蔵還元触媒を配置せず、3Lガソリンエンジンからの排気管に、空気弁、及び上記再生可能な触媒の耐久品を順に配置した。

上記排ガス浄化装置において、再生可能な触媒の触媒床温度が700℃になるようにエンジンをストイキ近傍で5時間運転した。この運転中、10分おきに空気弁から空気を2分間導入した。この5時間の試験後、再生可能な触媒のコート層の一部を採取し、上記と同様にCO化学吸着法にて白金の平均粒子径をもとめた。また、5時間運転中のNOx浄化率は、触媒を装着しない場合のNOx排出量と、触媒を装着した場合のNOx排出量を測定してもとめた。なお、比較例2では、再生試験中に空気導入を行わなかった。以上の結果を以下の表1に示す。

Claims (4)
- 内燃機関の排ガス流路に設けられ、塩基性酸化物を含む担体とこの担体上に担持された白金を含む再生可能な触媒と、三元触媒又はNOx吸蔵還元触媒と、酸素供給手段とを備える排ガス浄化装置。
- 排ガス流路上流側より、酸素供給手段、再生可能な触媒、及びNOx吸蔵還元触媒を順に備える、請求項1記載の排ガス浄化装置。
- 排ガス上流側より、三元触媒、酸素供給手段、及び再生可能な触媒を順に備える、請求項1記載の排ガス浄化装置。
- 前記塩基性酸化物がアルカリ土類金属及び希土類元素から選ばれる少なくとも1種の元素の酸化物、又はジルコニア及び/又はアルミナと、アルカリ土類金属及び希土類元素から選ばれる少なくとも1種の元素との複合酸化物である、請求項1記載の排ガス浄化装置。
