As a method for inspecting the characteristics of the vibration element of the angular velocity sensor, a method for inspecting the characteristics of one vibration element in one inspection is known (see Patent Document 1).
The vibration element of the conventional angular velocity sensor can detect only the characteristic of one vibration element in a single detection process, which has been an impediment to productivity improvement.
The present invention solves the above-described conventional problems, and an object thereof is to provide a method of manufacturing an angular velocity sensor capable of improving productivity.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has the following configuration.
The invention according to claim 1 of the present invention includes a sheet-like sheet substrate, a vibration element attached to the substrate, and an IC mounted on the substrate and electrically connected to the vibration element. And a adjusting step for adjusting the characteristics of the plurality of angular velocity sensors in order to reduce variation in characteristics of the plurality of angular velocity sensors, and then dividing the sheet substrate into the plurality of the plurality of angular velocity sensors. According to this manufacturing method, the vibration element and the IC are formed on the sheet substrate. A plurality of angular velocities are detected by applying angular velocities to the sheet substrate after forming the plurality of angular velocities, and the plurality of angular velocities for reducing variations in the characteristics of the plurality of angular velocities sensors. An adjustment step for adjusting the characteristics of the sensor, and then a division step for dividing the sheet substrate and separating the plurality of angular velocity sensors one by one. Compared with what performs a detection process and an adjustment process, it has the effect that productivity can be improved.
The invention described in
The invention according to
As described above, the manufacturing method of the angular velocity sensor according to the present invention includes a vibration element attached to a substrate from a sheet-like sheet substrate, and an IC mounted on the substrate and electrically connected to the vibration element. In a method of manufacturing an angular velocity sensor, a plurality of angular velocity sensors are manufactured by providing a plurality of the vibration elements and ICs on the sheet substrate and then applying the angular velocity to the sheet substrate. A detection step of detecting the characteristics of the plurality of angular velocity sensors, and an adjustment step of adjusting the characteristics of the plurality of angular velocity sensors in order to reduce variations in the characteristics of the plurality of angular velocity sensors, and then dividing the sheet substrate Since the dividing step of separating the plurality of angular velocity sensors one by one is performed, it is compared with the one in which the detecting step and the adjusting step are performed after dividing into a single piece. Possible to improve the productivity of Te in which exhibits an excellent effect that it is.

In FIG. 6,

FIG. 9 shows a plan view of the component adhesive application process in the angular velocity sensor. In FIG. 9,
FIG. 10 is a plan view of a component placement process in the angular velocity sensor. In this component placement process, the
Then, after the
Thereafter, in order to electrically connect the first vibrating
Through the above steps, predetermined electrical connection is made to the electrical components mounted on the
FIG. 11 shows a plan view of a detection process in the angular velocity sensor. In FIG. 11,
In the detection step, the characteristics of the
Following the detection process, an adjustment process is performed to adjust these characteristics within a predetermined range according to the characteristic data of the
After the adjustment step, a case attaching step for attaching the
In the angular velocity sensor according to the embodiment of the present invention described above, the
In addition, since the leg portion 4a of the
Further, the
Further, a
Furthermore, the
In addition, in the state of the sheet-
In addition, after the adjustment process and before the dividing process, a process of attaching the
Furthermore, since only a part of the
Furthermore, the element adhesive 24 that bonds the
In the angular velocity sensor according to the embodiment of the present invention, two vibration elements whose detection axes intersect each other by 90 ° are used. However, a single vibration element may be used. is there.
Further, although the manufacturing method is such that a plurality of angular velocity sensors are obtained from the
In addition, as the component adhesive 25 used for bonding the
As described above, the reflow process using the conductive metal adhesive has a track record and is highly reliable. However, the thermosetting resin is cured at a relatively low temperature for a long time profile. Since the conductive metal adhesive is melted and bonded with a relatively high temperature and a short temperature profile, it is difficult to bond using these different types of adhesives. That is, since the conductive metal adhesive does not melt at a temperature profile appropriate for the thermosetting resin, the
A method for manufacturing an angular velocity sensor according to the present invention includes a detecting step of detecting characteristics of a plurality of angular velocity sensors by providing an angular velocity to the sheet substrate after providing a plurality of vibration elements and ICs on the sheet substrate; Adjusting the characteristics of the plurality of angular velocity sensors in order to reduce variations in the characteristics of the plurality of angular velocity sensors, and then dividing the sheet substrate into the plurality of angular velocity sensors one by one.
