Abstract

Description
図3は、乗員検出システム400の1つの一般的な実施形態を示す。システム400は、占有者感知ユニット402と、補助拘束装置(SRS)404と、表示メータ406とを含む。占有者感知ユニット402は、制御信号をSRS404に送り、エアバッグ起動を無効又は有効にする。警告ランプ信号が表示メータ406の占有者警告ランプ408に与えられる。占有者警告ランプ408は、占有者感知ユニット402によって求められた占有者の分類を示す。代替案としては、占有者警告ランプ408は、SRS404が有効であるか無効であるかを示す。SRS警告ランプ410は、SRS404が動作しているかどうかを示す。

上述のインピーダンスベースの乗員検出システムにおいては、未使用の電極は負荷測定中又は受信測定中、接地される。容量感知乗員検出システムもまた未使用電極を接地することができる。乗員の異なる接地状態を考慮するために、接地から切り離された未使用電極に対して付加的な測定が行われる。
上述の接地状態の実施形態においては、真の接地又は有効な接地は、低いインピーダンス接続を与える。発振又は浮動は、高いインピーダンス接続を与える。切換インピーダンス接続を用いて負荷状態を求めることができる。所定の測定において、別の未使用の電極は、異なるインピーダンス間で切り換えられる。
乗員検出システムは、湿度に感応性が高いとすることができる。図2及び図10を参照すると、任意的な湿度センサH1は、湿度レベルを検出する。乗員検出システムは湿度センサに応答して、乗員の検出に対する湿度効果に対処する。
乗員検出システムは、アンテナ、電極、又は他のセンサに隣接する液体に感応性があるとすることができる。1つ又はそれ以上の任意的な水分センサを設けてもよい。乗員検出システムは、水分センサに感応性があり、乗員の検出に対する液体の影響に対処する。
ここで、v.sub.il及びv.sub.o1は、低い周波数伝送に応答する測定された電圧であり、v.sub.i2及びv.sub.o2は、高い周波数伝送に応答する測定された電圧であり、.omega..sub.1及び.omega..sub.2は伝送周波数である。

Claims (11)
- 占有者座席領域において感知するための車両占有者検出方法であって、
(a)第1の電極を、アースより大きいインピーダンスを有する低いインピーダンスに接続するステップと、
(b)前記第1の電極が前記低いインピーダンスに接続されている間、第1の信号を第2の電極において測定し、前記測定中に前記第2の電極又は第3の電極が伝送を行うステップと、
(c)前記第1の電極を高いインピーダンスに接続するステップと、
(d)前記第1の電極が前記高いインピーダンスに接続されている間、第2の信号を前記第2の電極において測定し、前記測定中に前記第2の電極又は前記第3の電極が伝送を行うステップと、
(e)車両の座席における負荷状態を前記第1の信号及び前記第2の信号の関数として求めるステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記(e)が、前記座席領域の占有状態又は非占有状態を判断するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記(e)が、人と物体との間を識別するステップを含み、さらに、
(f)シートベルト警告を、前記負荷状態が人である場合に生成し、前記負荷状態が物体である場合には生成しないステップ、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記(c)が、
前記高いインピーダンスのために、前記第1の電極を遮蔽電極に接続するステップと、
前記第1の電極が浮動することを可能にするステップと、
前記第1の電極を高いインピーダンスの構成部品に接続するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記(b)が、前記第3の電極からの伝送に応答して、前記第2の電極において受信信号を測定するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記(a)が、前記第1の電極が、前記測定中に用いられる伝送信号ではなく、低い周波数信号に接続するステップを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記(e)が、前記第1の信号を前記第2の信号と比較するステップを含み、前記比較が、前記負荷を求めるのに用いられた複数のパラメータの1つであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 占有者座席領域における負荷状態を感知するための車両占有者検出システムであって、
第1の電極及び第2の電極と、
前記第1の電極を、アースインピーダンス以外の低いインピーダンス・ノード及び高いインピーダンス・ノードに接続するように作用するスイッチと、
少なくとも前記第2の電極及び測定回路を含むセンサと、
を含み、前記測定回路が、前記第1の電極が前記低いインピーダンス・ノード及び前記高いインピーダンス・ノードのそれぞれに接続されているときに第1の信号及び第2の信号を測定するように作用可能であり、前記第1の電極は、前記第1の信号及び前記第2の信号の測定中、前記測定回路による伝送又は受信には使用されないことを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記低いインピーダンス・ノードが、前記測定中用いられる伝送信号ではなく低い周波数信号の位置であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記低いインピーダンス・ノードが、第1の既知のインピーダンス構成部品を含み、前記高いインピーダンス・ノードが、第2の既知のインピーダンス構成部品を含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 前記高いインピーダンス・ノードが、遮蔽電極又は開放回路を含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のシステム。
