Description
Claims (12)
- 少なくとも、第一の流体の第一の本体及び第二の流体の第二の本体を含有する、流体室を含むエレクトロウェッティングモジュールであって、二つの本体は、界面によって分離され、且つ、当該エレクトロウェッティングモジュールは、該界面の位置及び/又は形状を変化させるために、該本体の少なくとも一つに力を働かせる手段を含み、該流体の少なくとも一つは、少なくとも一つの芳香族の非縮合の残基を有する化合物を含むことを特徴とするエレクトロウェッティングモジュール。
- 前記少なくとも一つの芳香族の非縮合の残基を有する化合物は、式Φ−Rの化合物であり、Φは、一つ以上の低級のC1−C10、好ましくはC1−C5のアルキル基で置換された又は置換されてないフェニル基であり、且つ、Rは、一つ以上のアリール基で置換される若しくは置換されない、直鎖若しくは分岐のC1−C10、好ましくはC1−C5のアルキル基、アリール基、又は、一つ以上のC1−C10、好ましくはC1−C5のアルキル基で置換された若しくは置換されてない、シリル基である、請求項1に記載のモジュール。
- 前記少なくとも一つの芳香族の非縮合の残基を有する化合物は、トルエン、ジフェニルメタン、ターフェニル、及びビフェニルからなる群より選択される、請求項2に記載のモジュール。
- 前記少なくとも一つの芳香族の非縮合の残基を有する化合物は、フェニルトリメチルシランである、請求項2に記載のモジュール。
- 前記少なくとも一つの芳香族の非縮合の残基を有する化合物は、式(−R1R2Si−O−)nの構造単位を有する有機ケイ素酸化物の重合体であり、n=1のとき、R1は、フェニル基であり、R2は、メチル基でないとの条件で、nは、1から10まで、好ましくは1から5までの整数であり、R1は、一つ以上のC1−C10、好ましくはC1−C5のアルキル基で置換される若しくは置換されない、アリール基であり、R2は、一つ以上のC1−C10、好ましくはC1−C5のアルキル基で置換される若しくは置換されない、低級のC1−C10のアルキル基、好ましくはC1−C5のアルキル基、又はアリール基である、請求項1に記載のモジュール。
- 前記有機ケイ素酸化物の重合体は、
1,3,3,5−テトラフェニルジメチルジシロキサン、
1,1,5,5−テトラフェニル−1,3,3,5−テトラメチルトリシロキサン、
1,1,3,5,5−ペンタフェニル−1,3,5−トリメチルトリシロキサン、
トリフェニルトリメチルシクロトリシロキサン、
3,5,7−トリフェニルノナメチルペンタシロキサン、
からなる群より選択される、請求項5に記載のモジュール。 - 前記流体の本体の一つは、二つの流体の屈折率の間における差を増加させるために、フェニルメチルシロキサンを含む、請求項1に記載のモジュール。
- 前記第一の流体の本体及び前記第二の流体の本体は、異なる屈折率を有し、前記流体の一つに添加された化合物は、屈折率の差を増加させる効果を有する、光学構成部品として構成された、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のモジュール。
- 前記第一の流体の本体は、導電性及び/又は有極性であり、且つ、前記第二の流体の本体は、非導電性であり、当該モジュールには、メニスカス形状の界面の位置及び/又は形状を変化させるために電気力を働かせる手段が提供される、請求項8に記載のモジュール。
- 前記屈折率における差は、0.1から0.3まで、好ましくは0.1から0.2までであり、前記第二の非導電性の本体の屈折率は、1.4よりも大きい、好ましくは1.5よりも大きい、請求項8に記載のモジュール。
- 前記第一の流体の本体及び前記第二の流体の本体は、実質的に同様の密度を示す、請求項8に記載のモジュール。
- 前記界面の位置を変化させるために圧力を働かせる手段が提供された、請求項8に記載のモジュール。
