Abstract
Description
・受信・復調・多重化解除ユニットを「全か無か」モードで動作させると電流サージが発生し、これにより生じる追加的なエネルギー消費のため、エネルギー消費を選択されているサービスに比例して減らすことは望めなくなってしまいかねない。
・「全か無か」モードで復調ユニットを動作させると、磨耗の加速を生じることでこのユニットを構成する部品の使用寿命が短くなる。
・受信中に処理ユニットのスイッチを切るということは、目覚めたときに、切る前に受信していたチャンネルで受信を再開することを含意する。これは、ユーザーが場所を移動していたら、受信機の再起動で問題が生じるかもしれないことを含意する。受信パラメータ、すなわち当該受信機が知っていた受信チャンネルの識別子がある受信地域から別の受信地域に移る間に変更されてしまっているであろうからである。二つのセグメントを受信する合間に情報の受信を止めるということは、信号情報を、したがって特にユーザー資格情報も受信することがもはやできないということを含意しているのである。
・MPEG−2パケットの本体部分だけがバッファに記憶され、よってメッセージのヘッダ部分は抑制されるか、
・のちに処理するためにストリーム全体がこのバッファに保存されるかである。

図5に示した端末の方式によると、受信ユニット504がデータストリームを受信して、次いでそれを復調器505、次いで多重化解除器506に送る。多重化解除器506は受信処理の次のステップでストリームから信号情報を抽出し、それを信号情報処理ユニット520に送る。該520はユーザーによって選択されているサービスを知っている。これが当該サービスのデータストリームの次のセグメントの発生を示すイベントを受信すると、復調器505と受信ユニット504とに当該受信チャンネルに切り換えるよう命令を送る。
これらの命令を送ったのち、信号情報処理ユニットは、オーディオビジュアルデータと同時に送信された一組の信号情報データを受信する(7)。信号情報がユーザーサービスのセグメントの送信終了マーカーを含んでいない限り(8)、信号情報処理ユニットは信号情報の監視を続ける。サービスセグメントの送信終了マーカーを受信したら、信号情報処理ユニットは受信機の低レート信号チャンネルへの切り換えを開始する(10〜12)。
ターミナル変更を伴う地上波モード
デジタル地上波伝送では、モバイル端末の受信機はそのとき受信機の地域にあるさまざまな送信機からのデータを受信することができる。送信機によってカバーされるこの地域のことを、セルという。ある領域は多くのセルによってカバーされることがあり、各セルは異なる大きさであってもよい。セルどうしは、全地域でのサービスの連続性を保証するために重なり合う。DVB−T送信技術によると、モバイル端末があるセル内にあるときは、その端末は隣接セルも知っており、受信できる最も強力で最良のデータストリームに切り換えられるようになっている。受信機がどこの送信機が利用可能でどうやってサービスを利用するかを見出すために全周波数帯をスキャンする必要がないよう、各送信機は隣接する送信機についての情報を放送している。それにより受信機は必要なチャンネルに直接飛んで良好な受信を得ることができる。このネットワーク・トポロジーについての情報を得るためには、受信機が各セルおよび隣接セルについての情報を監視できることが重要である。セグメントによるデータストリーム送信において、データストリームの放送セグメントの合間で受信機が完全にオフになっていたら、現状技術において知られているように、セルを変えることは不可能である。

- ・現在の放送チャンネル上で送信されたデータストリームのセグメントのデータの受信ステップと、
・前記データストリームの前記セグメントの受信後に前記現在の放送チャンネルから第二のチャンネルに切り換える受信チャンネル変更ステップと、
・前記第二のチャンネル上での、前記データストリームの次のセグメントの送信が起こることを識別するイベントのピックアップステップと、
・前記第二のチャンネルから前記現在の放送チャンネルまたは別の放送チャンネルに切り換える受信チャンネル変更ステップとを有する、
一つまたは複数の放送チャンネル上でセグメントで送信されたデータストリームを受信する方法。 - 前記第二のチャンネル上の前記ピックアップステップが信号情報の受信を有することを特徴とする、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記信号情報がユーザー資格権利(EMM)を含むことを特徴とする、請求項2記載の方法。
- 前記第二のチャンネル上の前記ピックアップステップが、当該データストリームの次のセグメントの送信が起こることを識別するイベントと、当該データストリームの前記次のセグメントが送信される放送チャンネルの識別情報とを受信することを有することを特徴とする、請求項1ないし3のうちいずれか一項記載の方法。
- ・データストリームセグメントを放送チャンネル上で送信するステップと、
・当該放送チャンネル上で送信されるデータストリームセグメントに対応する信号情報を第二のチャンネルで送信するステップとを有することを特徴とする、
放送チャンネル上でデータストリームをセグメントで送信する方法。 - 前記信号情報が当該データストリームのセグメントの送信が起こることを識別するイベントを有することを特徴とする、請求項5記載の方法。
