Abstract
Description
この目的において、本発明は、従属請求項中に提示される事実によって特徴付けられている。本発明の好ましい実施形態のうちのいくつかは、他の請求項中に開示されている。
本発明の構成上の実施形態は、決して限定されない。本発明の実施形態に従って、流れの方向に対して並列又は直列に組立てられたいくつかの構造体中に、本発明の該触媒を存在させることができる。
開口チャネル内の該ガスの流れは、該支持体の粗粒及び孔のため、該多孔質シートの表面上で減少する。孔及び粗粒を有する材料で被覆されている多孔質シートは、効果的な開口粒子トラップとしての役割を果たす。これは、不純物ガス類及び粒子類の接触を追加し、従って、不純物類の削減及び保持時間が追加される。滑らかなシートと比較して、多孔質シートに、不純物粒子が頻繁に付着される。
本発明の実施形態に従い、該支持体の孔サイズ中央値は、5nm超であり、好ましくは、10〜50nm、例えば、15〜20nmである。該支持体の最適な孔サイズは、多孔質シート周辺のガス流の環境及び排気ガスによっても決まるものである。排気ガスは、例えば、5nm〜200nmの粒子サイズ中央値を有することができ、そして孔サイズ中央値は、例えば5〜20nmであることができる。
多孔質シートの開口部の形状は、変化してもよい。それは、カナル(canal)様、正方形様、ひし形(diamond)様又はホール様であることができる。例えば、ひし形様メッシュシートでは、該ワイヤー類は、水平又は斜めであることができる。
多孔質シートは、波型又は平坦であることができる。該多孔質シートは、波型メッシュシート等の波型シートであることが好ましい。これによって、不純物ガス類及び粒子類と支持体との接触が加えられ、それによって保持時間及び不純物の削減が追加される。
粗い支持体を、ミル等によって作成することができる。該ミルプロセス内に粗粒分画を添加することによって、該支持体の孔サイズ分布が大きく変わる。ミルウォッシュコートスラリー及びアルミナ粗粒を合わせて、30〜120分間、例えば40〜60分間、ボールミルにかけることによって、粗い支持体材料を作成することができる。
本発明の実施形態に従って、孔体積は、好ましくは、0.3〜0.8cm3/g、例えば、0.4cm3/gである。
本発明の実施形態に従って、該支持体は、触媒活性がある純粋材料を含む。
選択された粗粒によって、任意のウォッシュコートを粗くすることができるが、触媒ウォッシュコート類(すなわち、酸化目的で調製される)が、最も好適なウォッシュコートである。典型的な酸化ウォッシュコートは、図8と同様である。BET法による比表面積は、例えば、230m2/gであることができ、粒子サイズ中央値は、例えば、1.5〜3.5μmであることができ、該支持体の面積質量は、例えば、40g/m2であることができる。
本発明の実施形態に従って、該他の一又は複数のシートは、一又は複数の波型シートである。該他の一又は複数のシートは、一又は複数の波型メッシュシートであることが好ましい。他の一又は複数のシートとして、一又は複数の波型メッシュシートを用いることによって、粒子の保持時間が追加され、そして粒子の衝突もまた追加される。これらによって、粒子の削減が追加され、従って、該基材の効率が向上することとなる。
本発明の実施形態に従って、該他の一又は複数のシートは、一又は複数の繊維シートである。基材中の一又は複数の繊維シートを用いることによって、該基材中の粒子の保持時間が追加され、粒子の削減量が向上する。
本発明の実施形態に従って、多孔質シート類及び/又は他の一又は複数のシートは、くぼみ(impression)類及び/又は突起類を有する。これによって、ガス及び不純物粒子の該基材表面への衝突が加わり、従って、粒子の削減を追加することとなる。これによって、排気ガスの不純物粒子のさらなる削減値がもたらされる。ガスの衝突によって、ガスと触媒活性がある材料とのさらなる接触ももたらされ、従って、気体不純物の削減量が向上することとなる。
該基材は、例えば、プレオキシキャタリスト(pre−oxicatalyst)又はSCR触媒であることができる。該基材は、加水分解触媒であることもできる。好ましくは、該基材は、燃焼機関類の排気ガス類の不純物粒子を浄化するために用いることができる。基材の構造体は、その形を変えることができる。それは、曲げられているか又は積み重ねられている等でもよい。
該触媒は、触媒活性がある材料として、Sc、Ti、Cr、Mn、Fe、Co、Cu、La、Au、Ag、Ga、In及び/又はCe等を含むことができる。
該基材は、くぼみ及び/又は突起を有する屈曲基材であることもできる。これによって、旋回運動がもたらされ、例えば、まっすぐなチャネルと比較して、良好な質量及び熱の移動が行われる。
該基材は、円錐形又は管状であることができる。基材の形状は、例えば、エンジン及び排気ガスによって決まることとなる。
図9は、約2μmの粒子サイズ中央値を有する粗い支持体43で覆われているメッシュシート41の写真である。
Claims (28)
- 開口チャネルの中で燃焼機関類の排気ガス類を処理するための多孔質シートであって、該多孔質シート(3、3a、3b)の少なくとも一部が、10nm超の孔(35)と、1.4μm超の粗粒とを有する被覆支持体(33)を有していることを特徴とする多孔質シート。
- 本質的に、該多孔質シート(3、3a、3b)の全ての開口部(32)が、10nm超の孔(35)と1.4μm超の粗粒とを有する塞いでいる支持体(33)を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の一又は複数の多孔質シート。
- 該多孔質シート(3、3a、3b)が、メッシュシートであることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の一又は複数の多孔質シート。
- 該メッシュシート(3)のメッシュサイズが、30〜300であることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の多孔質シート。
- 該多孔質シートが、波型シート(3b)であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質シート。
- 該支持体(33)の粒子サイズ中央値が、1.5〜3.5μmであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質シート。
- 該支持体(33)の該孔サイズ中央値が、5μm超であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質シート。
- 該支持体(33)の該孔サイズ中央値が、10μm超であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質シート。
- 該支持体(33)が、触媒活性がある材料を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質シート。
- 該支持体(33)が、10〜200μmの粒子サイズ中央値を有する触媒活性がない粒子を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質シート。
- 該支持体(33)が、触媒活性のないアルミナ粗粒、シリカ粗粒、ジルコニア粗粒、セリア粗粒又は/及びチタニア粗粒を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質シート。
- 該支持体(33)の少なくとも一部が、ミルにかけられたことを特徴とする、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質シート。
- 該支持体(33)の面積質量が、20〜200g/m2であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質シート。
- 該支持体(33)のBET法による比表面積が、30〜300m2/gであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質シート。
- 該支持体(33)が、該支持体の平面から突き出ている繊維類を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質シート。
- 基材(1)が、請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の多孔質シートを1種以上含むことを特徴とする、燃焼機関類の排気ガス類を処理するための開口チャネルを有する金属基材。
- 該基材(1)が、他の1種以上のシート(2a、2b、5)を含むことを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の金属基材。
- 該他のシート(2a、2b、5)が、滑らかなシート、穴あきシート、メッシュシート、ワイヤーメッシュシート又は繊維シートであることを特徴とする、請求項17に記載の金属基材。
- 該他のシートが、平坦シート(2b)又は波型シート(2a、5)であることを特徴とする、請求項16〜18のいずれか一項に記載の金属基材。
- 他の一又は複数のシート(2a、2b、5)が、請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に従う一又は複数の多孔質シート(3、3a、3b)の該支持体(33)で本質的に被覆されていることを特徴とする、請求項16〜19のいずれか一項に記載の金属基材。
- 他の一又は複数のシート(2a、2b、5)と、一又は複数の多孔質シート(3、3a、3b)とが、同一支持体(33)で被覆されていることを特徴とする、請求項16〜20のいずれか一項に記載の金属基材。
- 一又は複数の多孔質シート(3、3a、3b)及び/又は他の一又は複数のシート(2a、2b、5)が、くぼみ及び/又は突起を含むことを特徴とする、請求項16〜21のいずれか一項に記載の金属基材。
- 該基材(1)が、プレオキシキャタリスト、加水分解触媒及び/又はSCRオキシキャタリストであることを特徴とする、請求項16〜22のいずれか一項に記載の金属基材。
- 多孔質シート(3、3a、3b)が、10nm超の孔(35)及び1.4μm超の粗粒を有する支持体(33)で、少なくとも部分的に被覆されていることを特徴とする、開口チャネルの中で燃焼機関類の排気ガス類を処理するための該多孔質シートの製造方法。
- 本質的に、一又は複数の多孔質シート(3、3a、3b)の全ての開口部(32)が、10nm超の孔サイズ中央値及び1.4μm超の粗粒を有する支持体(33)で塞がれていることを特徴とする、請求項24に記載の多孔質シートの製造方法。
- 請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の1種以上の該多孔質シートが、該基材中に該開口チャネル(4)が存在するように、該基材(1)に接続されていることを特徴とする、該燃焼機関類の該排気ガス類を処理するための金属基材の製造方法。
- 一又は複数の該多孔質シート(3、3a、3b)が、該燃焼機関類の該排気ガス類に由来する不純物粒子(34)を浄化するために用いられていることを特徴とする、請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の又は請求項24若しくは25の方法に従って作成された、一又は複数の多孔質シート。
- 該基材(1)が、該燃焼機関類の該排気ガス類の該不純物粒子を浄化するために用いられていることを特徴とする、請求項16〜23のいずれか一項に記載の又は請求項26の方法に従って作成された金属基材。
