こうして、水の分解は酸化還元プロセス、即ち、一方の電極酸化反応が生じ、他方の電極で還元反応が生ずる。
変換パターン: 発生フリーラジカル:
2H2O→O2+4H++4e− 酸素
3H2O→O3+6H++6e− オゾン
2H2O→H2O2+2H++2e− 水素過酸化物
2H2O→*O2 −+4H++3e− 超酸化物アニオン
H2O→HO*+H++e− ヒドロキシル・ラジカル
2H2O→2O+4H++4e−→2H2+1O2 一重項酸素
*O2 −+H+→*O2H 過ヒドロキシル・ラジカル
HO*+H2O+e−→H3O2 − ヒドロキシル・イオン
*O2 −+H+→HOOまたはHO2 * ヒドロペルオキシ・ラジカル
フリーラジカルの発生は無作為であり、この順序である必要性はない。フリーラジカルは無作為に相互に即座に且つ頻繁に変換される。超酸化物アニオン及びヒドロキシル・ラジカルはRFS水中でフリーラジカルとして漂い、オゾンまたは水素過酸化物に変換することによって最終的には安定する。更には、水素過酸化物及びオゾンも以下のようにして電気分解後にそれらの変換を続行する。
H2O2→H++HO2 − (水素過酸化物の変換)
O3+HO2→HO*+O2 −+O2 (オゾンの変換)
発生したフリーラジカルは非常に不安定であり、安定化のためにそれらを取り巻く他の分子または原子と結合しがちである。この現象は病原性細菌等の様々な感染性バクテリア疾病を滅菌すべく使用される。感染領域へのFRS水の適用はFRS水中のフリーラジカルをバクテリア及びその他の分子と結合させて、その感染領域を滅菌する。水が電気分解されると、酸素がH2O水分子から強制的に除去され、それを取り巻く他の原子または分子と結合する傾向がある不安定なフリーラジカル原子の内の1つに変換させられる。酸素等のフリーラジカルの病原性細菌等の他の分子と結合によって、そのバクテリアを酸化して滅菌する。フリーラジカルの全ての変換パターンは無作為であり、電気分解後、少なくとも二(2)時間の間、殆ど同一レベルで続行して反復する。それ故に、FRS水は、製造後、二(2)時間の間、滅菌液として使用され得て、例えば超酸性水等の既存の電解水と比較して使用の点で実質的に実用的な有益性がある。超酸性水に対するORPレベルは、製造後、直ちに低減され、それは滅菌能力に関する損失を意味する。詳細には、超酸性水は、製造後、10から15分だけ900mV ORPを維持できる。本発明のRFS水のORPレベルは製造後に通常10から15分でそのピークORPに到達し、その後、少なくとも2時間900mVレベル以上を維持し、非常に高いフリーラジカル反応を含む。

Claims (8)
- 電解セルであって、
水を取り入れるための少なくとも1つのインレット・チャネル、水素リッチ水の出力のための第1アウトレット・チャネル、並びに、フリーラジカル溶液水の出力のための第2アウトレット・チャネルを有する構造を備え、
前記構造が2つの平坦メッシュ電極の間に配置された平坦な陽子イオン交換膜を収容し、
前記電極への電力の付与が前記インレット・チャネルを通じて流れる水を電気分解し、前記第1アウトレット・チャネルを通じて出力されるフリーラジカル溶液水と前記第2アウトレット・チャネルを通じて出力される水素リッチ水とを発生することから成る電解セル。 - 前記平坦メッシュ電極の各々が、大きな隆起を有する第1層と、該第1層のより大きな隆起と比較してより小さな隆起を有する第2層との2層から構成されている、請求項1に記載の電解セル。
- 大きな隆起を伴う前記第1層が前記陽子イオン交換膜面から離れた遠位に近接されて、前記陽子イオン交換膜に隣接する水の流れに乱れを作り出している、請求項2に記載の電解セル。
- より小さな隆起を伴う前記第2層が、前記陽子イオン交換膜に対向して近接されている、請求項2に記載の電解セル。
- 前記第2アウトレット・チャネルを通じて出力される前記水素リッチ水が再使用のために脱気される、請求項1に記載の電解セル。
- 前記水素リッチ水の前記脱気が水素及び水を作り出し、前記水素が電力の発生用に使用され、前記水が前記インレット・チャネルを通じて前記電解セルに戻されるように再循環させられる、請求項5に記載の電解セル。
- 前記電気分解への電力が制御回路によって制御されている、請求項1に記載の電解セル。
- 前記制御回路が、インレット水流及び電力、またはそれらの内の一方を調整して、FRS水及び水素リッチ水の最も効果的な製造を維持するか、或いは、様々なパラメータ値を検出する多数のセンサからの情報信号に基づくと共に、予めプログラムされた閾値レベルからの正規パラメータ値の逸脱に基づく出力検知信号に基づき、前記電解セルの前記電極への電力を遮断すべく電力遮断信号をトリガーする、請求項7に記載の電解セル。
