【解決手段】 円錐ころ軸受11は、内輪12と、外輪13と、内輪12および外輪13の間に配置された円錐ころ14と、円錐ころ14の間隔を保持する保持器15と、円錐ころ軸受11の端部を密封する密封部材(図示せず)とを備える。そして、円錐ころ14の大端面中央部の曲率半径R1と、円錐ころ14の大端面外縁部の曲率半径R2とは、R2/R1≧0.98の関係を有する。

これによると、従来品は、図6に示したように3サイクル目の途中で焼付きによる温度上昇が検出されたのに対し、本件発明品は、図7に示したように5サイクル目の途中まで回転可能であった。以上から、この発明によって円錐ころ軸受の耐焼付き性能が向上したことが確認された。
